The Online MBA at USF’s Muma College of Business is designed for students who care about quality but need flexibility. This year, the program welcomed 134 new students to total 406 in the program. The program can be completed in as little as 12 months and as many as 60 months, but most students finish their degree in two years on average.
All in all, there are 16 credits of foundational courses, 15 credits of core curriculum that focus on critical skill sets like data analytics, communication skills, financial analysis, ethical decision making, and 15 credits of electives. Courses are taught by Muma’s internationally recognized faculty and experts in their field and designed in collaboration with instructional design experts.
Muma OMBAs can select from six concentrations in Blue Economy, Compliance & Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, or Finance, or they can instead customize with a series of electives.
Although the program is offered online, there’s an optional one week immersion course either on campus or abroad. These trips focus on a variety of topics from improvisation in business, design thinking, lean six sigma, to management through constructive persuasion and global business environments.
All Muma OMBAs attend a two-day virtual residency, where they’ll have two full days of interactive, conference-like content with innovative simulations, case competitions, gamification and more. They’ll have the chance to network with industry leaders along the way.

“The USF Online MBA perfects the balanced demand for flexibility and engagement. The fully asynchronous curriculum provides professionals the opportunity to completely control their schedules, while group work and the one-of-a-kind virtual residency provides the opportunity for program participants to take advantage of quality networking. Ultimately, it’s the commitment of faculty, staff, and students to add value for all involved that gives the program the esteemed recognition it deserves,” says Eric Douthirt, Director of MBA Programs.
