About the Program

At the University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College of Business, whether you choose to do your MBA on-campus, or in the comfort of your own home, or on that two-hour train ride you have every day to and from work, you’ll learn from the same industry experts and thought leaders.

At this AACSB-accredited College of Business, students can earn the 38-credit MBA in just one year as a full-time online student, or 18 months as a part-time student, by putting a reasonable 12 to 16 hours of work a week. This is much shorter than some of the other online MBA programs out that can take up to 30 months or more to complete, and up to 25 hours of study a week.

The cost of getting a MBA degree from Lindner College of Business is also affordable, with an in-state full-time student paying $35,994, and an out-of-state full-time student paying $36,444, making the possibility of earning an MBA more attainable for most people.

The program has a heavy emphasis on business in the healthcare sector, and students in the Lindner MBA online program can choose from concentrations in Health Care Administration, Health Care Finance, Health Care Operations, Health Care Policy and Regulation, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Corporate Taxation, Individual Taxation, and Investment Management.

Like many other programs, students at Lindner College of Business can choose to join in study abroad programs available, but the school has gone one step further to institute Global Core Requirement as one of the core courses, to prepare graduates to work internationally, or with international colleagues locally. Students must choose a course with the word “international” or “global” in the title and popular choices include…

Students must choose a course with the word “international” or “global” in the title and popular choices include International Competitiveness, Global Entrepreneurship, and Managing Across Cultures.

Students applying also need to submit two letters of recommendations, a resume, school transcript, and a statement of purpose.
Students at Lindner College of Business have access to the schools dedicated team of career services counselors, who provide coaching on resume building, interviewing, and networking to students. They also provide job search and career placement assistance.

Students in the current class also come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging in age from 18 to 67, half men and women. While some come with no work experience at all, the school shared that there were students with as many as 30+ years of work experience under their belt, making the average 7.5 years of experience in the industry. This offers the possibility of robust online classroom discussions from the variety of experiences and viewpoints in each academic cohort.

“The University of Cincinnati’s dynamic and comprehensive online MBA program offers a mixture of academic, research-intensive learning combined with real-life learning experiences, teaching you to create solutions with real business impact,” said a spokesperson from the college.
