About the Program
The Baker Program in Real Estate (MPS-RE) is offered through the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University. This two-year, professional master’s degree program prepares students to become experts and leaders in real estate with industry-immersive experiences such as domestic and international treks, weekly seminars, and a summer internship.
Program Format and Schedule
The Baker Program in Real Estate is a two-year program that begins in August. It is a full-time program and requires residency in Ithaca, NY. This format allows for in-depth coursework, leadership opportunities, real estate treks, and an internship. Students must complete 62 credit hours: 38.5 credits of required core courses, 4.5 credits of a leadership and management distribution, 12 credits in an approved concentration, and 7 credits of free electives.
From the School
Students in the Baker Program have the option of concentrating in one of five areas: international real estate; real estate consulting and market analysis; property, asset, and portfolio management; development and sustainability; or real estate finance and investments. Curriculum includes core courses and a unique leadership and management requirement.
