Designed for professionals with four to six years of experience, the Pepperdine University Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) prepares leaders in the art and science of managing strategic change. The MSOD incorporates online learning with face-to-face intensives and aims to provide innovative experiential learning.
The MSOD curriculum can be broken down into: foundation courses, intensives, practicums, and the applied research project. Foundation courses provide fundamental principles, theories, and concepts in organization design and development. Intensives are face-to-face learning experiences that offer a deeper emergence in skills and knowledge. Practicums provide students with real-world field experience working with professionals from different cultures and backgrounds. An Applied Research Project allows students to integrate and apply the knowledge gained throughout the MSOD program by pursuing research specific to organizations and interests. By the end of the program, students complete a Practice Portfolio that documents development and accomplishments as an OD practitioner.
A minimum of 40 units must be taken to complete the program.
