About the Program

Carlson’s MSBA imparts a specialized combination of analytical know-how and business acumen. The curriculum balances depth of analytical training with breadth of business knowledge to prepare talented professionals to harvest, process, and analyze data to extract important insights. Graduates leave as professionals who leverage big data to identify business opportunities and apply their findings to take action. The program is offered in full-time or part-time options. Business analytics’ masters tend to have very strong placement rates for graduates, but few schools can beat Carlson’s record of getting jobs for grads of this program. In both 2015 and 2016, 100% of the students who got the MSBA received offers for employment within 90 days of graduation.

Program Format and Schedule

The full-time MSBA is a one-year, cohort-based program designed for students who will pursue graduate studies full time. It is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals and is comprised of 45 credits taken in three intensive semesters beginning in June. Classes are held during the day. The two-year part-time MSBA offers world-class analytics education with the flexibility working professionals need. Students attend online and evening classes while they continue to work. It’s a winning combination that supports educational achievement and career advancement simultaneously. The part-time program begins in September.
