The M.S. in Business Analytics is a part-time program for working professionals and delivered through a blended format that combines online learning with regularly scheduled in-person sessions. This structure allows participants to engage with coursework while applying concepts in real time within their organizations.
The curriculum is organized into a series of academic modules that integrate topics across analytics, data management, artificial intelligence, and business strategy. These modules progress from foundational analytical concepts to more advanced applications, including data-driven decision-making, machine learning, and the translation of insights into business action. Throughout the program, participants complete applied, project-based work focused on using data to address complex business challenges.
As part of the curriculum, participants also have the option to engage in a global learning experience that provides exposure to international business environments and the role of analytics in a global context.
In-person sessions are held on a recurring basis at UVA’s Darden DC Metro facility in Rosslyn, Virginia – home to the University’s graduate business programs for working professionals. These sessions support collaboration, discussion, and applied problem solving, bringing participants together to work through real-world scenarios and share perspectives across industries.
