Wharton or Booth: Where Would You Go?

Dan Bauer, founder and CEO of The MBA Exchange:

“Assuming that an applicant is accepted to both of these great schools,

deciding which one is ‘better’ requires additional data, comparison and

introspection.  Ultimately, it’s about ‘fit’ with his or her particular

background, values and goals.  Not to dodge the question, but my answer

would depend on:

“1) My undergraduate focus and pre-MBA work experience  vs. my intended MBA

concentration,

“2) My near-term and long-term career goals vs. the recruiting stats at each

school for my targeted industry and function.”

3) My geographic preference during and after the MBA, in terms of where I’d live for 2 years and where most alumni are to be found,

“4) How I felt about the campus and regional culture after visiting there and

experiencing the students, faculty, and creature comforts.”
