Description: Designed for both MBAs and undergraduates, this course examines basic economic principles using a quantitative and model-based approach. In particular, it focuses heavily on mathematically-driven methods, logic, and applications of economic theory. For example, the course emphasizes how to model market interactions to predict outcomes in areas like taxes and regulation and introducing disruptive market solutions. The course will be driven by videos, lectures and readings.
Additional Note: This course makes extensive use of Calculus. For a less quantitative course, consider Economics For Managers from The University of New England.
