Credentials: Walsh has worked as an accountant in a variety of industries. He has also written several texts on accounting approved by the ACCA. Askham is the director of finance and business development at Infused Learning in Nottingham, England. She has also written two workbooks on computerized accounting systems.
Graded: Although this course doesn’t include a certificate, students can earn an ACCA certificate can register with the ACCA and take an exam (and a professionalism model) after the course is completed.
Description: Designed for people who want to enter accounting or launch a startup, this course addresses the basics of accounting: “Business transactions, the banking system and double entry bookkeeping; payroll and ledger accounts; reconciliation and preparing the trial balance; the nature and purpose of cost and management accounting; how to record and classify costs; and how to use spreadsheets.”
