Description: If you aspire to leadership, you’ll eventually need to manage overseas operations, teams, clients, and partners. Chances are, they will hold different perceptions, expectations, and traditions than you do. And that’s a recipe for misinterpretations, strain, and outright conflict. Sure, it can take a lifetime to master cultural contexts and nuances. As boundaries gradually disintegrate, it pays for leaders to understand how their behaviors and decisions will be interpreted at both an organizational and cultural level.  In this course, students will gain greater self-awareness, as they learn how to use intercultural dynamics to communicate, motivate, and grow relationships with stakeholders globally. They will study how to avoid intercultural traps, decode culture, increase their social capital, and manage conflicts. The course will consist of 10-15 minute lecture videos, PowerPoints, readings, quizzes, and optional assignments.
