What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career? Receiving three “Ears to You” awards for my volunteer service.

Why did you choose this school’s online MBA program? I was looking for a program that had a specialization in business analytics and I was very impressed by the curriculum and elective options available at UNL.

What was your favorite part of being in an online MBA program? Being able to attend a large, well-known school while still pursuing my full-time career.

What was the most surprising thing about an online learning environment? You run into different challenges when working in groups when your team is all over the world, but it makes it that much more exciting to learn from individuals with such a wide array of experience.

How did your online experience compare with your in-the-classroom experience as an undergraduate student? An online atmosphere is one in which students must be more self-motivated than an in-classroom experience. Due to many people working full-time and going to school, it was impressive to see how everyone managed their time.

What is your best piece of advice to an applicant for thriving in an online MBA program? Get familiar with the different courses and their requirements early in your program in order to best plan course workload around other commitments. For example, since I chose to take two classes at once, I tried to pair more quantitative classes with a more theoretical class to avoid having two classes with heavy reading at once.

What would you change about an online MBA Program? The great flexibility of doing an online program is weighed with the fact that I wish I could have had more face time interaction with my classmates and professors.

How has your online education helped you in your current job? It has allowed me to expand my responsibilities within my team and have a greater understanding of our organization.

If you had to do it all over again, would you? Why? Yes! I really enjoyed my time at UNL. After comparing coursework and learning experiences with those who have attended campus-based programs, I feel like I got out of the program exactly what I was hoping to get.

What is your ultimate long-term professional goal? I would like to continue my career with Disney by continually expanding my roles of responsibility to achieve an executive position.
