The Yale School of Management is regarded as a purpose-driven program. What is your mission? How will your MBA at Yale SOM help you fulfill that mission? I want to disrupt the field of entrepreneurship in Latin America and support the creation of world-class startups from the region.

What word best describes the Yale SOM MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far and why? Captivating.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Yale SOM’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The ability to take elective courses across any school at Yale.

What course, club, or activity excites you the most at Yale SOM? It would be courses on Game Theory and Asset Management as well as electives in other Yale schools. During my time here I want to row, learn to play the piano, and participate in the Out of Office Club (the student LGBTQ+ club).

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: It was starting Mexico’s first crypto investment fund. I started it as a side business while working in management consulting, and it eventually grew to 137 clients and $5M AUM while I was still running it singlehanded as a side gig.

How did COVID-19 change your perspective on your career and your life in general? It made me understand that location can be removed as a barrier, and to value the importance of separating work from life.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point and what do you hope to do after graduation? I reached a point in my entrepreneurial journey where I realized that I had to build on both my soft and hard skills to unlock the true potential of my ventures. I hope to take what I learn at SOM and through my classmates to take my investment fund to the next level and/or move into the world of venture capital.
