What led you to launch this venture? I had previously worked within healthcare for six years and noticed how many Brazilians could not access healthcare services with higher tickets due to lack of financial options. At the same time, Roberto had worked with several credit projects and discovered how market leaders could develop internal financial structures to offer to their clients as credit solutions. Unfortunately small and medium players did not had the same expertise nor capital to lend.

With this scenario, we met in the first week of the MBA at INSEAD, entered into the INSEAD Venture Competition and ended up winning it! With the EUR 40,000.00 prize, we launched the MVP in the middle of the MBA, fully  remote in Brazil, and later conducted out fundraising.

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far with venture? In less than 2 months after the MBA, we have gathered an amazing team of 21 people and helped more than 300 patients to access essential services for their health.

How has your MBA program helped you further this startup venture? I met my partner and life friend in the MBA. Also, the community of friends and professors were essential to give us the necessary courage to abandon the consulting and private equity professional careers we had in order to pursue our entrepreneurial dream!

What founder or entrepreneur inspired you to start your own entrepreneurial journey? How did he or she prove motivational to you?

We have been spired by one particular friend, who did an MBA at INSEAD 2 years before and also started a company right after in Brazil. He showed us that we can think big and, with a lot of effort, accomplish our dreams!

Which MBA class has been most valuable in building your startup and what was the biggest lesson you gained from it? There wasn’t one particular class, but during the entire MBA at INSEAD we came across different entrepreneurial lessons that were really important for our journey.

What professor made a significant contribution to your plans and why? Ben Ling. He leads the IVC and is currently our largest angel investor. We connect every week and his advices are crucial for us!

What is your long-term goal with your startup? We dream to help the 160 million Brazilians, who do not have a healthcare plan, to access the private health ecosystem, truly making the healthcare in our country universal.
