What makes Atlanta such a great place to earn an MBA? The diversity, energy, and growth of the city make Atlanta an ideal place to learn and network.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Emory Goizueta’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Most programs will say something along the same lines, but it was the sense of community I got at Goizueta was truly second to none. I like winning as a team and could tell that Emory would be a place where collective success and teamwork would be emphasized. More specifically, the IMPACT 360 program and the chance to solve real world problems for real companies while enrolled was a huge draw for me.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Emory Goizueta? As a future business owner (hopefully), the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club looks like an awesome way to learn from classmates and faculty.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Setting annual sales and profit records as Production Manager at Finzer Roller in Blairsville, PA.

How did COVID-19 change your perspective on your career and your life in general? COVID taught me that time is limited and best spent on work or activities you find rewarding (however you choose to define that) with people who make those experiences better.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point and what do you hope to do after graduation? I felt that I had reached a point in my career where I needed formal training to round out my skill set after being in the working world for 10 years. After working primarily for small companies, I’m hoping to get operations experience with a large company in the manufacturing sector.

What other MBA programs did you apply to? Booth, Darden, McDonough, Scheller

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Emory Goizueta’s MBA program? It sounds trite, but be yourself and show that you genuinely want to be there.
