What word best describes your classmates and give an example of why? Go-getters. For example, in the short space of time since our MBA journey commenced, I have witnessed new clubs being formed by classmates which resonate from the learning outcomes of course modules and which will be beneficial for the future careers of the club members.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Warwick Business School’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Warwick Business School’s world, continent and UK rankings played a key role in my decision-making. Moreover, its triple accreditation was an additional factor which I considered.

Another key factor that led to me choosing Warwick Business School was the emphasis they placed on leadership development, as I personally wanted to grow in this area. My research also confirmed that candidates would be offered unlimited one-on-one coaching during their studies and career support extending beyond the completion of their MBA studies.

In addition, I had also identified modules which I knew would help sharpen my strategic, critical thinking and business acumen skills. Therefore, I looked no further as Warwick Business School ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for in a business school and my MBA studies.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Warwick Business School? I enjoyed the Strategic Thinking module in term 1. One of my motivating factors for pursing the Warwick Business School’s MBA was to enhance my strategic thinking skills. This module has exposed me to different frameworks and tools which can be used to conduct in depth analysis prior to formulating a strategy for any type of organisation.

What has been your best memory at the Warwick Business School so far? Why? Orientation Day, which was the first day of my MBA journey. Not only did I get soaking wet from the rain on my way to campus — what I would call a wet introduction to the British weather —but I finally got to meet the individuals I had met online during pre-arrival sessions. I was overwhelmed with mixed emotions, but I knew that there was no turning back, it sunk in that I had indeed exchanged my office for a lecture theatre. This is a day I look back on with a huge smile on my face.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I played a key role in negotiating a partnership agreement between one of my former employers and a leading car insurance company. This subsequently led to my former employer being recognised as a leading benefit partner at the inaugural partnership awards of the insurance company.

A more recent accomplishment has been my admission into Warwick Business School’s MBA programme. What seemed like a far-fetched dream two years ago has become a reality and I couldn’t be happier to be on my MBA journey at this stage in my professional career.

What do you hope to do after graduation? When I joined the Warwick Business School’s MBA programme, I arrived with an open mind and an intention to embrace every learning opportunity about different career sectors and industries. I am still on a journey of discovery, and I believe that I will have a clearer picture about my career path as I continue with my MBA journey.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Warwick Business School’s MBA program? I would advise potential applicants to be clear and concise in their application essays, which will potentially lead to an invitation for an interview.

Once an applicant reaches the interview stage, my further advise would be for them to be genuine during their interviews since the interviewers are merely seeking to get to know the applicants better. Finally, if you have a curious mind and consider yourself a Change Maker, then do not hesitate to submit your application.
