Career outcomes is based on the average percentage of graduates to report earning a promotion and/or salary increase (40%), the average rating alumni gave their school’s career services and advising office (20%), the average percentage of graduates to say the program helped them reach their primary career goal (20%), the average percentage of graduates to say the program helped them reach their secondary career goal (10%), and the ratings given to their ability to build a professional network through the online MBA program (5%) and the quality of that network (5%).

After Santa Clara, Carnegie Mellon placed second overall in the category, also for the second year in a row. The University of Maryland, University of Michigan-Dearborn, and Rice University rounded out the top five, respectfully.
