Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the Indian School of Business MBA programming that led you to choose this school and why was it so important to you? I was drawn to ISB’s Experiential Learning Program (ELP), which offers the opportunity to tackle real-world business challenges for leading companies. This hands-on, results-oriented approach allows me to apply my background in strategic operations and analytics in a new context, enhancing my problem-solving skills. The ELP is especially critical to my goals, as it bridges my public sector experience with industry-focused learning, preparing me to lead effectively in the private sector.

What has been your favourite course or extracurricular activity at the Indian School of Business? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? My favourite courses at ISB have been Operations Management and Negotiation Strategies, each offering valuable, hands-on learning. In Operations Management, Professor Vijaya Sunder took us back to childhood memories with a paper-plane manufacturing simulation game to teach Lean principles. Each complex concept was simplified through the game, making it easy to understand and apply. In Negotiation Strategies, we used tools like opening offers, log-rolling, and contingency contracts, creating engaging and immersive experiences through in-class simulation exercises in collaborative problem-solving. Together, these courses provided me with practical insights into optimizing processes and crafting win-win outcomes.

What makes Hyderabad such a great place to earn your MBA? Hyderabad is the perfect place to earn an MBA—it’s got the hustle of a booming tech hub mixed with the charm of old-world forts and biryani that’s second to none! Studying here means rubbing elbows with top industry leaders, from global giants to homegrown startups, all while indulging in street food that could rival any culinary capital. Plus, the city’s vibrant energy and warm people make it easy to build connections both inside and outside the classroom. Hyderabad offers a one-of-a-kind blend of culture, innovation, and business opportunities that make it a fantastic playground for any MBA student (and did I mention the unbeatable sunsets at ISB?).

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment has been negotiating the surrender of 60 militants, leading to a significant reduction in insurgency incidents in Andhra Pradesh. This negotiation was conducted over 18 months with local tribal elders. It not only improved regional stability, but also freed up resources to address other critical security areas, showcasing the impact of diplomacy and strategic planning in high-stakes environments.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: It was leading a supply chain transformation project for a $250M firm through the Experiential Learning Program has been a defining experience. By implementing predictive analytics, we identified $2M+ in savings, underscoring the power of data-driven solutions. This accomplishment strengthened my understanding of strategic planning within the supply chain, reaffirming my decision to pivot into general management.

What is your class’s favourite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? Our class loves gathering at T-Hub in Hyderabad, a collaborative space for tech startups and innovation. We head there not only for the inspiring atmosphere, but also to connect with entrepreneurs and gain insights into the latest tech trends. It’s a place where ideas flow freely, making it a great spot for brainstorming and bonding.

What do you hope to do after graduation? After graduation, I aim to transition into general management in the e-commerce industry, focusing on operations and supply chain optimization. Leveraging my background in strategic operations, my goal is to lead transformative projects that drive efficiency and innovation, ultimately enhancing customer experience in the fast-paced world of e-commerce.
