Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Texas McCombs’ MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? One key part of Texas McCombs’ MBA programming that influenced my decision was the McCombs+ experiential learning program. It stood out because it allows me to immediately apply what I’m learning in class to real-world projects, while collaborating with my classmates. This hands-on approach to learning was crucial for me, as it bridges the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that I can develop the skills needed to thrive in my future career.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Texas McCombs? The Global Connections courses at Texas McCombs excite me the most. The opportunity to travel to different countries and learn firsthand how industries operate in diverse environments, all while collaborating with my classmates, is invaluable. This global exposure will not only broaden my understanding of international business but also deepen my connections with fellow students, making it a truly enriching experience.

Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized Texas McCombs was the right program for you? Why? During my recruitment process, I knew Texas McCombs had a strong reputation in the United States, but two personal experiences solidified my decision.

First, the admissions team stood out for their warmth and genuine support. Throughout the numerous virtual events I attended, they went beyond merely promoting the program—they truly believed that each applicant had something unique to offer, regardless of their background, and this made me feel like I belonged.

Second, witnessing my sister’s remarkable transformation after completing her MBA at McCombs was undeniable proof of the program’s impact. Seeing her not only land her dream job but also grow significantly in her career showed me firsthand how McCombs could open doors. At that moment, I knew McCombs was the right fit for me—no sales pitch could have convinced me more than that personal experience.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment so far has been successfully transitioning from Accounting to Data Analytics, a bold move that took persistence and courage. Landing a full-time offer in this field was a major milestone, but what I’m most proud of is the decision to create my non-profit platform, Data&Her. I wanted to help other women who, like me, sought to break into data analytics but didn’t have access to the right resources. Through this platform, I’ve been able to provide the support I didn’t have, and seeing some of these women land their dream jobs has been incredibly rewarding. It’s inspiring to know that I’m not only advancing my own career but also empowering others to do the same.

Looking ahead two years, what would make your MBA experience at McCombs successful? In two years, I’ll consider my MBA experience successful when I’m working as a management consultant at a top consulting firm and continuing to empower women through my platform, Data&Her, by sharing my experiences and providing resources to help them achieve their career goals.
