What has been the biggest accomplishment in your career so far?

The biggest accomplishment in my career is still ahead of me. I believe in dreaming big, setting high standards, and then putting in the work to make those goals a reality. Every milestone I have reached so far has been part of a larger journey of continuous growth. Pursuing my MBA at Texas A&M is a key step in that journey. It reflects my commitment to evolving as a leader and preparing for greater impact in the future. I hold myself to a mindset of progress over arrival. Each opportunity is a step toward building a lasting impact in my field and community. I measure success not just by what I have done, but by how I keep striving to go further.

When you think of your school, what is the first word that comes to mind? Why?

Grit. Mays attracts professionals who are relentlessly driven but humble and who carry a deep sense of purpose. Every peer I have met is navigating a demanding career while pushing their leadership limits.

What are one or two key aspects of this program that led you to choose the program, and why were they so important to you?

Flexibility and real-world relevance. As someone working full-time in financial services, I needed a program that would let me immediately apply what I learn. From negotiation frameworks to analytics, I have seen the impact of my coursework in client strategy meetings and solution pitches.

What course, club, activity, or experience excites you the most and why?

The experience I look forward to most is receiving my Aggie Ring and then crossing the stage at graduation. The Aggie Ring is one of the most meaningful traditions at Texas A&M. It is a symbol of perseverance, leadership, and lifelong connection to the Aggie Network. I will soon be eligible to order my ring, and that moment will represent more than academic achievement. It will mark the relationships, growth, and service that have defined my MBA experience. Graduation day will be the culmination of that journey and a celebration of everything I have worked toward both personally and professionally.

What is one thing you have recently read, watched, or listened to that you would highly recommend to other prospective MBAs? Why?

I highly recommend the Earn Your Leisure podcast. It offers practical insights on business, investing, and entrepreneurship from people who are building success outside of traditional corporate paths. The hosts break down financial concepts in a way that is clear, actionable, and motivating. Whether they are interviewing CEOs, athletes, or creatives, each episode highlights different ways to think about ownership, brand-building, and long-term value. It has expanded my perspective on leadership and inspired me to think more strategically about creating impact in my career.

What are two things you have learned that have surprised you so far – one academic and one non-academic?

Academic: That financial models are only as strong as the assumptions behind them, and being able to communicate those assumptions clearly is often more valuable than the math itself.

Non-academic: That vulnerability and authenticity are some of the most powerful leadership tools we have. Peer discussions have shown me how openness creates deeper collaboration.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into your MBA program?

Tell your real story. Share your challenges, your pivots, and the lessons you have carried forward. The admissions team is not looking for perfect candidates. They are looking for purpose-driven leaders who are ready to grow. Show how your goals align with what Aggies value: respect, excellence, leadership, loyalty, integrity, and selfless service.
