Fun Fact About Yourself: I’ve helped hundreds of student-athletes earn college roster spots, scholarships and millions of dollars in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) marketing through my business, Suited Scouting. I’ve learned that sometimes all it takes to change someone’s life is having someone believe in you, and being that person for someone is so special.

The MBA program is renowned for its “Team Fuqua” culture, which is predicated on six paired principles: Authentic Engagement, Supportive Ambition, Collective Diversity, Impactful Stewardship, Loyal Community, and Uncompromising Integrity. Which of these resonates most with you – and what does that principle demand of you as a Fuqua MBA? I started Suited Scouting to give overlooked athletes a real shot at college success, and that mission continues to shape how I lead today. To me, Impactful Stewardship means building systems that last, making decisions that serve others, and showing up for my community in whatever way I can. I take that responsibility personally because I’ve seen how transformative having someone in your corner can be. At Fuqua, I want to carry that same commitment to helping others into every class, conversation, and future venture I pursue.

Aside from your classmates and school culture, what was the key part of Duke Fuqua’s MBA curriculum programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum provides hands-on strategy experience with real organizations. This aligns perfectly with my goal to refine business models and drive scalable impact while also matching my favorite way to learn, by diving in head first and learning while doing. That’s how I built my business and the client consulting practicum allows me to have a similar learning experience during my MBA.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Duke Fuqua? The Media, Entertainment & Sports Club excites me most because it aligns directly with my professional roots and future goals. I’m incredibly proud of the business I’ve built in the sports world, and I’m eager to share the unique perspective I’ve gained by combining scouting, entrepreneurship, and media. I’ve learned from some of the sharpest minds in college and NBA basketball, and I hope those lessons can offer real value to my peers at Fuqua.

I’m especially excited to fuse my scouting experience with new ideas in innovation, technology, and business strategy, and to be part of a community that’s equally passionate about the future of sports and entertainment.

What do you like most about North Carolina so far? I’ve been to the area a few times during my career. I’ve always loved the people of North Carolina; they are so welcoming. The Carolinas have always felt like they could be home, and funny enough, now they will be!

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career? Pivoting my scouting business from focusing entirely on providing a service to college and NBA teams to family‑focused consulting. In one month, my business exceeded three years of prior revenue, and I was able to make bigger and more lasting changes for the athletes I work with. This wasn’t just a business decision, it was a bet on empathy, scale, and sustainability.

I realized that the people who were the most impacted by my work weren’t the colleges but the families who got to see their children accomplish their dreams and pursue a college degree. If I changed my focus to those families I could serve more families, more meaningfully, and have even better results. That change still fuels me.

Looking ahead two years, what would make your MBA experience successful? If I leave Fuqua with a community of friends-for-life, a sharper strategic toolkit, and a new career path that lets me amplify my impact, I would consider my MBA experience a massive success.
