As I reached a mature stage in my corporate career, I realized that my path was no longer fully aligned with what truly inspired me. I needed a fresh perspective, renewed energy, and a transformative experience to reconnect with my purpose and potential. What lead you to the HEC Paris EMBA, and how did you know this school and this program was the right fit for you? Among the programs I explored, HEC Paris stood out for its comprehensive approach and the exceptional caliber of its faculty, accomplished professionals who bring real-world expertise into the classroom. The reputation of HEC Paris and its global network also made it a natural choice. Which track did you join? I joined the week-long (every two months) format. I felt that full immersion away from work and daily constraints was the best way to truly dive into the learning experience. How did you balance the demands of work, family, and the program while studying? It wasn’t easy— organization was key, and I was fortunate to have the support of my employer. I made it a point not to compromise on family life, aside from the few weeks I was away for classes. Finding that balance was a challenge, but ultimately, it worked well. How did you customize your learning experience? I chose two specializations to broaden my learning horizons and deliberately stepped outside my comfort zone to acquire new perspectives and skills. I also took advantage of international learning opportunities—spending time at Bocconi University and NYU Stern through one specialization—which proved to be truly transformative experiences. What’s a standout memory from your time at HEC Paris? The personal development component of the EMBA left a lasting mark. We were surrounded by peers facing similar challenges but from entirely different industries and cultures. Working together in this environment forged lifelong friendships and a genuine sense of shared growth. What are some of the biggest takeaways or skills you gained from the experience? The most powerful skill I developed was the ability to make well-grounded, unbiased decisions considering multiple dimensions within an organization, whether for-profit or mission-driven. The program reshaped the way I analyze, decide, and lead. How has the program helped you grow personally or professionally since graduating? After graduation, I created an M&A boutique active in the healthcare services sector, as well as an advisory firm focused on CSR. Though these are two very different worlds, they share one essential skill I refined at HEC: the capacity to adapt continuously, to learn fast, and to engage with diverse people and methods. To be honest, it was quite blurry at the time. The EMBA helped me clarify not just what I wanted to do but also how I wanted to do it. What advice would you share with someone thinking about pursuing an Executive MBA? An EMBA is a truly transformational journey: give as much as you take. The more you invest in yourself and in others, the greater the return. The final balance is always in your favor. © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants. All rights reserved.
