Meet London Business School’s MBA Class Of 2027

LBS MBA Orientation 2025

P&Q: What are two ways that your program is incorporating Artificial Intelligence into your programming? How do they better prepare students for the future world of work?

Ashby: “With the exciting launch of the One Year MBA at London Business School, we have taken the opportunity to look at how to transform all programmes at LBS in the world of AI. This includes brand new elective courses dedicated to how AI is changing the world of business, such as The Economics of AI, Generative Artificial Intelligence, as well as Applications of AI & ML in Business. Taught by faculty at the cutting edge of fast-moving research, these courses are evolving with each evolution of AI to ensure our students always have access to exciting new innovations and developments.

We are also ensuring that AI is integrated into traditional subjects, with our core Data Analytics course evolving and replacing older tools with the most up to date platforms and innovations. Our faculty have, and continue to, redesign case teaching, updating lectures and introducing new frameworks that reflect the reality of AI in decision-making and digital disruption.

At school-level, the establishment of the London Business School Data Science & AI Initiative brings together the complex intersection of technology, strategy and policy. With an independent, interdisciplinary approach, the Initiative brings every core business school discipline together under one roof to study and shape AI’s impact on business. With focus on research excellence, industry collaboration, and policy engagement, as well as educational innovation, the Initiative will not only ensure that our teaching and programming is kept up to date with AI. It will go further, to be setting the pace for change in this area, continuing LBS’ commitment to excellence and world-class teaching.”

P&Q: What types of educational and career support do you provide to alumni after graduation? How does it make them more valuable to employers during their careers?

Ashby: “With the fast-moving world of business, we know it is vital that learning continuously remains a priority for everyone, throughout their lives. When students join London Business School, they become lifelong members of our community, a community which is committed to lifelong learning. We are proud of our commitment to this, under our formal Forever Learning umbrella. Reviewed on an ongoing basis, Forever Learning coves topics from technology and innovation, to economics, strategy and leadership, sustainability and entrepreneurship. Alumni have access to a huge range of resources to explore insights and explore learning. This includes masterclasses, in-person events and online webinars, as well as access to the LBS elective portfolio.

This is complemented by access to tailored careers support and workshops, membership of Alumni Discovery Circles – diverse, peer-led groups where alumni can build deeper connections with other alumni – as well as mentoring programmes. With our annual Worldwide Alumni Celebration, specific events for new alumni, and 5-yearly class reunions on the LBS campus, we are proud of our commitment to ensuring that our alumni are forever one step ahead.

Students come to London Business School not just for the career step they will make immediately following the MBA. Our students are always looking further ahead, with the role 5 years post-MBA being even more important. With a long-term view, and as we know professional challenges and opportunities continue throughout life, our Forever Learning offering ensures our alumni continue to have access to resources that will unlock their growth and success.”
