London stands at the crossroads of innovation, technology, and global business. Home to nearly nine million people, with over a third born outside the UK, the city thrives on diverse cultures and perspectives. London Business School reflects this vibrancy, bringing together distinguished faculty with international experience and a dynamic, global student community spanning industries from venture capital to healthcare, fashion, hospitality, music, and many others. With world-class hubs across every sector, London offers an unparalleled environment to learn, grow your network, and drive lasting change. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of London Business School’s MBA curriculum and programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? London Business School’s faculty bring renowned expertise from both academia and industry, with professors deeply embedded within the global business ecosystem. This connection enables them to stay attuned to market dynamics and integrate real-world insights directly into the classroom experience. I’m particularly excited to learn from strategists like Kamalini Ramdas and Luisa Alemany, whose work at the intersection of technology and healthcare aligns closely with my interests. Additionally, studying alongside a cohort that is nearly 50% women, and being inspired by trailblazing female leaders, resonates with my passion for championing women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and business. London Business School is one of the most culturally and professionally diverse MBA programs in the world. What will make you unique in this class and how will it enrich the experience of your classmates? I’m excited to bring my multicultural perspective to the programme – one shaped by my upbringing and global experiences. Born in the UK, raised in the US within a traditional Indian household, and having returned to the UK over five years ago, I’ve come to appreciate how these influences shape my approach to life and work. I carry the hard-working, immigrant mindset instilled by my parents, pair it with a can-do American optimism, and round it out with a touch of British wit and dry humour. I look forward to sharing these experiences with my peers, enriching classroom discussions, and fostering curiosity and adaptability as we learn from each other. What course, club or activity excites you the most at London Business School? I look forward to joining London Business School’s Private Equity & Venture Capital Club to connect with and learn from leading professionals in the innovation ecosystem. This platform offers unparalleled access to a global network of startups and venture capitalists, empowering me to sharpen my skills in building and scaling disruptive businesses. I’m keen to contribute my own connections across the Oxford, Cambridge, and London technology and life sciences sectors, as well as collaborate with the LBS venture community to explore exciting opportunities together. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: At my most recent role with Oxford Nanopore Technologies, the pioneer of the world’s first portable and affordable DNA & RNA sequencing platform, I drove the business development team’s mission to design, launch, and scale strategic partnership programmes. These initiatives expanded the platform’s applications across clinical and applied markets, advancing the commercialisation of end-to-end testing services while establishing a sustainable partnership framework that continues to fuel the company’s growth and innovation. Tell us your favorite memory: Last year, I had the unforgettable experience of visiting India for the first time with my mother and seeing the home where she grew up in Punjab. Being surrounded by the culture that shaped my childhood, but this time fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and flavors, was deeply moving. The aromas of traditional food, expressive music, and familiar language brought a new depth and appreciation of my roots. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into London Business School’s MBA program? London Business School’s dynamic learning environment and its strong connection to London’s exceptional business community thrive on authenticity, passion, and integrity. Showing up as your true self is essential – not only does it ensure a genuine fit between you and the school, but it also empowers you to fully leverage LBS’s resources and make a meaningful impact.
