I’m your host, Kristy Bleizeffer, and I’ll be highlighting the most important P&Q stories you might have missed. So, let’s get to it. No. 1: 10 Biggest Surprises In The 2026 U.S. News MBA Ranking The 2026 U.S. News & World Report MBA ranking offers plenty of fuel for debates. Which programs are on the rise? Are declines a one-year blip – or indicative of something more fundamental? Does the U.S. News data and methodology truly measure a program’s value proposition? Every year, Poets&Quants picks out the programs and trends that resonate most for our indepth analysis on the ranking. You can read it in full, now in our ranking tab. No. 2: The New MBA Arms Race: How Stanford Is Winning On AI At most business schools, artificial intelligence is entering the curriculum through lectures, electives, and case studies. At Stanford Graduate School of Business, it is showing up as something more urgent and far more practical: a working skill students are expected to use now. That distinction helps explain the rapid rise of AI@GSB, a student-led initiative that has quickly become one of the most visible forces shaping how Stanford MBAs learn about artificial intelligence. Read more about the initiative from our trending tab. No. 3: USC Marshall Dean Under Fire; Faculty Revolt Over ‘Downward Trajectory’ According to a report from LA Material, USC Marshall Dean Geoffrey Garrett recently received a letter signed by 52 business professors concerned about the business school’s direction. The professors, about one fifth of the school’s full-time faculty, wrote: “We believe that there are clear signs of our downwards trajectory in terms of academic reputation, commitment to excellence in research and the demonstrated academic excellence of the students which graduate from our programs.” That letter was soon followed by criticism from current Marshall MBAs, in a P&Q exclusive. Find our full coverage of the issues in our news tab.
