Undergraduate School and Major: Bachelor’s and Master’s in Finance, University of Utah Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Norvestor, Investment Associate UCLA Anderson is founded on the Three Pillars: Share Success, Think Fearlessly, and Drive Change. Which pillar resonates most with you and why? Fearless thinking resonates with me the most. To me, it means questioning the status quo and being innovative. In my career, I have seen how being open to new ideas can lead to transformative solutions for companies. At Anderson, I’m excited to learn from a cultural and professional diverse community that will challenge my perspectives and help me think more boldly. What makes Los Angeles such a great place to earn an MBA? LA has a large tech and venture ecosystem around Silicon Beach, easy access to the ocean and mountains, and endless sunshine. It’s hard to imagine a better place for an MBA. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of UCLA Anderson’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The Business Creation Capstone (BCC) and the Leadership Development Program were central to my decision of choosing Anderson. BCC is a unique program that gives students the opportunity to take their ideas from zero-to-one, while being in a resourceful and supportive environment. The leadership program at Anderson is also special because it is highly personalized and includes one-on-one leadership coaching. What course, club or activity excites you the most at UCLA Anderson? I’m especially excited about the Outdoor Adventure Club and its trips where students can get together outside the classroom. I’m also looking forward to the events hosted by the Entrepreneur Association and AnderTech, which allow for great learning experiences and opportunities to build connections. What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2027? Having lived and studied in different countries, I’ve learned to appreciate that everyone sees things through different lenses. I try to approach situations with curiosity and openness, and I hope this mindset will help me contribute to a collaborative class culture. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I’m proud of successfully moving from competitive skiing into a career in finance. Committing fully to both paths gave me opportunities I might not have had otherwise. What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? Before Anderson, I worked in investment banking and private equity. After graduation, I hope to gain experience on the operational side of business at a startup I am passionate about. © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants. All rights reserved.
