I am passionate about the prospect of using sport to unite and grow communities through the building generational wealth, investment, and social change. Yale SOM’s mission-driven curriculum, combined with its strengths in leadership and global business, will equip me with the tools to translate my consulting and nonprofit experience into sustainable impact in sports and beyond.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Yale SOM’s MBA curriculum or programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? When it comes to SOM, I was really excited about both the breadth and depth of the curriculum. Through broader Yale courses, as well as the Global Studies opportunities, there are several paths to explore the intersectionality of business across several industries and functions. One class I am incredibly interested in is Mastering Influence and Persuasion.

What course, club, or activity excites you the most at Yale SOM? I am really excited about the opportunity to join the Meng Impact Investment Fund.

My ability to bridge untraditional sectors—government, nonprofit, consulting, and sports— equips me to bring diverse perspectives and collaborative solutions to SOM. I thrive at building communities, whether through professional networks, social activities, or cultural programming.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Leading partnerships with restaurants during the pandemic to deliver meals to homebound seniors stands out as my proudest accomplishment. It was an initiative that not only addressed urgent needs but also built sustainable connections between local businesses and vulnerable communities.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

Short-term: Work in strategy at a sports-focused organization.

Long-term: Support a social impact investment fund or philanthropy that helps athletes support community investment.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Yale SOM’s MBA program? Show how your values align with SOM’s purpose-driven culture. Go beyond your resume—tell the story of how your experiences have shaped your mission and be clear about the impact you hope to make on the world.
