ENERGY

There are only two certainties in life: Death and Taxes. Still, energy is the hidden hand behind economic growth, personal independence, and political stability. That makes it an underrated avenue for MBAs…even if pay hasn’t caught up to importance. Here, Wharton grads lead the pack, earning $177,833 to start. The school also boasted the highest-paid MBA in the field at $260,000. That said, Texas schools are the place to go to top out, with Texas McCombs, Rice Jones, and Texas A&M Mays each reporting a graduate earning $200K in base to start.
