I don’t think I’ll ever experience something quite like that again. Undergraduate School and Major: United States Military Academy at West Point, International History and Russian Language Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Psychological Operations Officer, U.S. Army What makes Atlanta such a great place to earn an MBA? Atlanta has, in my opinion, the perfect mix for an MBA student. With a world class business environment, a mix of big-city and southern culture, a great cost of living and amazing weather, Atlanta gives MBA students a chance to create their own adventures. The city is also incredibly connected to the rest of the country, so it is easy for MBA students to recruit across the east coast and beyond. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Emory Goizueta’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? When I first toured Goizueta last fall, I immediately connected with the “small by design” program size. I have always thrived in small academic environments – my high school graduating class had 17 students, and a West Point classroom rarely exceeds 20 students. I know how I lean and how I succeed, and Goizueta provides the environment where I will do both. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Emory Goizueta? I am very excited to take Entrepreneurial Private Equity taught by Professor Klaas Baks. The course comes highly recommended and I am look forward to learning about a critical sector and filling my personal knowledge gaps. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Last year, I led a team of eight soldiers to Europe where we worked with our allies and partners on complex information issues. I am very proud of our accomplishments, and I enjoyed seeing my team’s hard work with our allies and partners build a more resilient Europe. Looking ahead two years, what would make your Emory MBA experience a success? I can walk away from my MBA feeling that I didn’t leave anything on the table – whether that is academically, in recruiting, or in becoming a better teammate to my peers and a better husband to my wife – then I will walk away a success. © Copyright 2026 Poets&Quants.
