Over the past 18 years, we have helped more than 2,000 applicants crack the world’s most competitive programs, including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, and other M7 schools. In 2025 alone, we had 225 admits from the M7 programs and helped our students secure $13.5M in scholarships.
Admissions Gateway has been consistently recognized as the leading mid-sized MBA consulting firm globally, with a 2025 client satisfaction score of 9.97 and over 500 five-star reviews. All our consultants listed on Poets&Quants are featured in the Most Favorably Reviewed MBA Admission Counselors, with Rajdeep Chimni leading the rankings for 7 consecutive years.
Our model of invested mentoring means we don’t just edit essays, we live the application journey with each candidate. We ensure every student receives the undivided attention of senior consultants, supported by a structured firm-wide process that guarantees consistency and quality across the board.
At Admissions Gateway, our commitment goes beyond applications. We shape authentic stories that win admits and mentor candidates to thrive in business school and in their careers that follow.
Admissions Gateway’s flexible and comprehensive approach has made me realize the true value of a skilled and experienced consultant. In my first attempt, I applied to five M7 colleges and even practiced for the interviews, but unfortunately, I didn’t make the cut. However, with the help of Nisha, everything changed. I have secured a seat at Kellogg and Tuck with scholarships up to $40,000 and $60,000 respectively. From my resume to my career, she helped me extract every detail and value, showcasing the best version of myself.
Her expert guidance helped me understand the mistakes I made in my previous attempt and this year, I was able to transform my resume into a story that connects everything, giving it the soul, it needed. Nisha didn’t just edit my work; she positioned herself in my shoes and structured my stories with precision, making sure that every detail was highlighted. Throughout the process, Nisha’s constant zeal to push and motivate me was what I needed. I felt supported at each step, and her guidance was invaluable. I highly recommend her services to anyone who wants to apply for MBA programs.
The process of getting into the top schools requires a person who can understand and imagine the struggles of an applicant, just like a poet does, while also highlighting the details, a task done by a quant. Nisha possesses a rare combination of these skills, making her an efficient and effective consultant. I am fortunate to have worked with her, and her expertise helped me secure a seat at my dream school.
I stumbled on Admissions Gateway after reading about them on Poets&Quants. After the initial virtual meet and greet with Mudit, I was lucky enough to be assigned a slot with them.
Looking back on my journey, I do believe the following three aspects of working with Mudit and the team helped me to get an admit to IESE with a scholarship.
Instilling belief: When one has been lurking around MBA admissions forums on various platforms, some end up questioning their candidacy for a top school. Coming from the most competitive pool of Indian IT Male engineers, I was definitely one of them. The Admissions Gateway team instilled in me the confidence that my candidacy is enough and to focus on the strengths of my application rather than dwelling on what people talk about on forums etc
Framework-driven approach: AG follows a framework-driven approach in building one’s application, starting from cleaning up the resume to the interviews. This framework not only gave me a clear path to my north star but also laid the cornerstone for thinking from an impact-driven perspective over an implementation-driven perspective. This helped to refine my resume and my career goals, enabling me to put forward strong applications to business schools.
Ripping off the band-aid: AG team, always jovial and sympathetic, was not hesitant to call me out when it was required. This helped me to prepare my best for each of the individual meetings, bringing out the best in me. Also, frequent feedback, sometimes challenging, on my application from the wider AG team, helped me refine and put forward a strong application
Overall, I attribute a large portion of my success to Mudit and AG team. They not only helped me secure an admit with scholarship, but also helped me to reshape my outlook on the whole MBA admission process.
Nisha was the perfect partner for my MBA application journey. She knew exactly how to help, helping me position my application in the best possible manner! Couldn’t recommend her enough.
I spoke to Nisha and Admissions Gateway team as I started to think about my MBA Applications in February. The team spoke to me several times till I had all my doubts cleared. I also spoke to other top consultants but what stood out for me was Nisha and AG team pushed me for doing more M7 schools rather than safe schools. Plus, their USP was not getting me an admit but also scholarship. Thus, I decided to work with them.
Nisha and I started with doing resume first, which is considered the most important. During the process we reflected on my whole journey and picked out key pillars. Here, apart from Nisha, I also worked with Mudit from AG who helped me built the perfect resume y focusing on downstream impact for every bullet. I literally did more than 30 drafts with them and they never pushed back on anything.
After this, Nisha and I had a brainstorming session regarding essays. Here, she suggested me to apply across R1 and R2 to maximize my chances. During essays, she helped me reflect how few of the struggles in my life made me who I am and how I can best reflect those in the essays through examples. Even when I felt the essays are fine, she pushed me to make them great but outlining everything with examples and going in details.
Apart from all the major application elements, Nisha was so helpful to also review trivial doubts I had regarding application forms. For example, she reviewed with me my hobbies and other things.
Across R1&R2, I got secured interview invites from all schools I applied to and then Nisha further helped me prepare by conducting regular mocks. Here, the whole AG team actually came together to help me, different people prepared me for different schools. Rajdeep helped me prepare for Kellogg (his alma mater) and Gauri Jaswal helped me prepare for Booth. I felt so prepared for the interviews with the practice, boosting my confidence and helping me secure admits to all schools I applied: Darden, Ross (80K), LBS, Kellogg, Booth and Columbia (80K)
During this process, I was also waitlisted at one of the schools but Nisha helped me prepare update mails for the same which resulted in getting an admit in the end. She further helped to negotiate scholarship too at one of the school.
In all, she is the best consultant who will be there for you at every step and will work with you for over a year (till you get all your admits and scholarships). The best part is the access to the whole AG team of consultants who help you with their respective expertise. They might charge more than other consultants, but they know how to do their job well and get you an admit with scholarship. There is no question to look for anyone else!
One of my seniors suggested I talk to Nisha; some of her friends had worked with Nisha and had been admitted to M7 programs. I wanted to work towards getting an admit to a 1 year MBA program and I did. I got accepted to Kellogg, for 1 year MBA.
On my very first inquiry call, Nisha talked me through the approach she would follow in our journey together. The clarity she had on what needs to be done was what attracted me to go along with her. She did not help me with what needed to be written in the essays or said in the interviews, she helped me develop a life skill set of representing myself and getting my message aptly per the audience.
Their process of resume-building forced me to revisit the impact my work has had over the years; it encouraged me to adopt a thought process that a future manager would need to have.
Reevaluating my impact and work over the years, aligned with my personal motivation for an MBA, Nisha helped me draft my goals in an immaculate manner.
Overall, Nisha’s response was swift, and she was very understanding of my anxiety near deadlines. She was able to clearly articulate deadlines for me, as well as explain actions taken at her end throughout the process; this helped me maintain a clear vision and work as per the plan.
Thanks a lot, Nisha!
My experience of working with Admission’s gateway is nothing short of miraculous. I have come out of this process much wiser only because of Rajdeep, Mudit, Dalal, and Nisha. I reached out to them quite late in the process and also had a lot of personal and professional commitments to attend to but never did I feel overwhelmed because of their structured and actionable steps.
AG’s team helped me craft a spectacular resume along with my career essays with multiple iterations. The team ensured that no events or achievements were missed. They invested time to understand my story and craft cogent essays. As a matter of fact, I would reach out to the team for the minutest concerns and they would still address them immediately. This truly showed their dedication to each candidate. Nisha’s guidance in TBDs was truly helpful and insightful. I took AG’s end-to-end services and it helped me put my best foot forward.
I recommend taking their services.
I started working with Nisha just 3 months before the R1 September deadlines – a delay attributable to personal reasons. Nisha helped me overcome the anxiety that came along with this delayed start by helping me believe in myself and bank on my strengths. She took the time to understand my story, background and motivations in detail – an important conversation that set the foundation for our successful working relationship.
Starting with crafting my resume and goal narratives, Nisha helped me develop a coherent narrative out of my seemingly diverse work experience (in private equity consulting and social impact) by banking on her experience and network of industry experts. She ensured that the final product and thinking was logically sound and was not “underselling” my titles/work as compared to other applicants of my background. This effort was supported by the broader Admissions Gateway community which leveraged a rich repository of examples and experience dealing with candidates of similar background.
Nisha and I then collaborated 1:1 on essay writing and finalization. She leveraged her understanding of my story and creative thinking to persistently nudge me in the right direction when it came to brainstorming ideas and shortlisting anecdotes to use. Her ability to connect the dots and weave a narrative really stood out for me in the process. I witnessed several such “aha” moments during my brainstorming sessions – for example – she helped me connect my failure to clear Indian Civil Services Exam with my initiative to work in Kenya through the thread of my motivation to work at a global stage. Throughout the process, Nisha showed immense attention to detail and ensured that I never hit submit on an application until she was completely satisfied with it – she even went on to address my questions at 11 PM at night a day before deadlines to fine tune my drafts. Her exemplary commitment to my success made a huge difference in the quality of my applications!
Nisha’s thoroughness came out the most when it came to interview preparation. She never allowed me to simply do a blanket prep or get lax between different Bschool interviews – she insisted on conducting multiple mocks for each school’s process to cover some school-specific questions even when I had completed my core prep months before. I believe that really prepared me to tackle even the most unpredictable situations.
All in all, I would strongly recommend Nisha for MBA consulting support – she not only knows what works, she gets personally invested in your successes and goes the extra mile to ensure that you put your best foot forward. In Nisha’s words, “Keep going, you’re doing great”!
Multiple MBA applicants recommended Rajdeep as the consultant of choice. The word of mouth about Rajdeep’s success rate at the top-5 schools was exceptional, from people who worked with him, as well as people who didn’t work with him but had a positive opinion about his process. I wanted a consultant who had a precise vision of what a good application should look like and thus reduce my workload in trying to understand each school’s style and preference. People assured me that I would get that by working with Rajdeep and in hindsight that was correct!
Working with Rajdeep, one can be assured of his unique insight required to create an exceptional application for each school. I was impressed by his ability to help me coherently link my childhood experiences with activities that I could contribute to at Wharton and Booth. I appreciated his almost instant turn around for any big or small request throughout the process. That personal touch helped me stay calm and navigate my applications during a hectic period at work. Even after getting interviews, Rajdeep maintained that personal connect, helping me prepare and sharpen my communication skills through multiple mocks that helped me feel at ease during interviews. I would strongly recommend his services to people looking for a true partner for this intensive process!
I’m not the regular MBA aspirant. Coming from a family business background, I was clueless and nervous about how to portray my story. But with proper guidance from Mudit, I managed to receive admits from Duke ($), Darden, and Foster ($$).
After speaking with 8 different consultants in India and abroad, I decided to work with Admissions Gateway (AG), based on my interaction with Mudit and testimonials from other applicants with a family business background.
Mudit encouraged introspection, helping me learn from the process of putting together applications, and thinking coherently about my goals. He kept pushing me to improve and polish my drafts as much as possible, resulting in 15-20 iterations for each part of my application. This allowed me to dig deeper into my story to build a resume, essays, and goals that told a truly coherent and uniquely packaged story. He also pushed me to retake the GMAT, enabling me to improve my score to 740 from a 710.
Thank you so much, Mudit! I would highly recommend Mudit and AG, and would be happy to discuss him in greater detail with anyone who would be interested.
I was introduced to Rajdeep Chimni by colleagues who had secured M7 admits. On the first call, I knew that working with Rajdeep would give me the greatest odds of success in this competitive admissions cycle. I was worried that I started the process late (I reached out to Rajdeep in June for R1), but Rajdeep motivated me to start asap and believe in the strength of my application. He was the only consultant who told me to go bold and try Wharton in R1 itself – that gave me a significant confidence boost.
We started by working on my resume and goals statement. Rajdeep helped me understand the nitty-gritty of structuring and framing key pillars of my work experience and different levels of impact to show. His approach gave me a significant sense of direction and allowed me to craft a resume that I believe helped me stand out among candidates with a typical consulting background. Throughout the process, I noticed a consistent focus from his side on shifting my thought process from being more “operational” to more “impact-driven”, which came in handy while thinking about my goals as well.
While crafting essays for my target schools, Rajdeep’s input became my anchor point. I loved how he distilled each essay prompt into small, workable, and achievable bits, laying out a broad structure for each part. He shared customized strategies for each school along with his experience on what works, which helped with the positioning of each pillar in my essay. All in all, I left every session with a set of action points. Supplementing this with more coaching for my specific story, I was able to submit quality essays on time and project-manage the entire process smoothly.
Perhaps the place where Rajdeep and team Admissions Gateway shine the most is interview prep. Rajdeep helped me prepare exhaustively for all my interviews by helping me anticipate all types of questions and write an answering script for each one to ensure I came across as structured during my conversations. When it comes to Wharton, I believe Rajdeep’s expertise on the TBD format and tactics to manage the discussion are unparalleled. He helped me navigate this unfamiliar format in a structured manner through his deep-rooted insights on how different behaviors are perceived, how to manage time, and how to read the room. He also facilitated mock TBDs with rich feedback that helped me get ready for this within a week.
Overall, I attribute a large portion of my success with M7 schools to Rajdeep. He not only helped me secure these admits and scholarships, but he also helped me shape my outlook on post-MBA roles and motivated me to think bigger in the process. He knows what works and he knows to how to use this knowledge to craft a winning application!
I connected with Rajdeep through the website in February as I started thinking about my MBA Applications. He first recommended a profile evaluation wherein he suggested how I would need to put my story on my resume and essays to weave the perfect application, explaining how certain aspects of my story need to be defined. He did multiple calls with me then until I was satisfied with how we are going to work together.
We started with resume-building advice wherein he went in depth explaining how to put position my work experience. He discussed various approaches to framing experiences and impact. After that, we had regular sessions for all M7 schools, discussing how essays should be approached, how resources should be researched, and other key things about the respective schools. This really helped to frame good drafts, saving time and energy.
Overall, my experience with Rajdeep and the Admissions Gateway team has been amazing. They were there to help at each step beyond written applications. Be it discussing scholarships, or following up on wait lists, ensuring I put my best foot forward. They are the one-stop shop for all your MBA application needs!
Friends of mine referred me to Rajdeep and I worked with him to apply to 3 top business schools. All my experience was entrepreneurial and his approach to the resume helped me re-think and really bring out the impact of my work. I got extensive help on my goals, the skills I required towards that end, and how to research the schools to explain how I would leverage resources to gain those skills. The help on the essays was detailed and Rajdeep helped me leverage my personal and professional experiences to articulate a compelling narrative. He even connected me to students to learn from their experiences. The process was one-on-one with no restrictions on talk time, but Rajdeep was careful not to spoon-feed essays and other material to me, making sure I could express myself in the submissions. As a consequence of Rajdeep’s advice, I gained admission to Wharton. The success his clientele has had in gaining admissions to the best schools over the years speaks volumes of his experience and dedication.
I applied to INSEAD, Booth, and London Business School and was offered admits to all three schools. I was also offered scholarships at all three schools, a full-ride worth about 110K £ at LBS, 35K € at INSEAD, and 60K $ at Booth. I will be attending LBS because of the full-ride, its strong alum base in India, and the flexibility of the program.
Rajdeep’s inputs on resume building early on helped me to take stock of my experiences and showcase my impact. The goals advice was helpful in helping me figure out my path and I could extrapolate different approaches after that. The school-specific advice was a great starting point, giving me a direction to think and setting the tone of how to approach each application. All my basic questions were answered and doubts were resolved early on so that I could focus on execution.
Team Admissions Gateway was great, confident, articulate, and would never say no to anything even as we came close to the deadlines. We made a good team and had complementary skill sets, which showed in my essays. I got help on everything I asked for, including putting together scholarship essays and even the negotiation email.
I would have taken a long time to pay back the loans but with the scholarship, that burden goes away. It makes it easier for me to come back and work even in a lower-paying job as I can take more risk. Working with Rajdeep and the team really paid off.
I got to know about Rajdeep from my colleague who gained admission to HBS last year. He had great feedback on working with Rajdeep and Admissions Gateway results were unmatched.
The way Rajdeep approached every essay was great. While it followed a certain structure to get me thinking, I was also able to bring out my story and originality. Right from how to think about the resume to deciding goals; the way to approach these things has changed for me and this thought process will now stay with me forever.
Coming to the essays Rajdeep helped me think through various stories, identify my strong points, and lay out a story that succinctly brought out my thought process over the years. I was fortunate to get all 4 interview calls. Rajdeep went beyond the package and even helped me refine my Stanford essays, which I was doing on my own.
Post-interview calls Rajdeep helped me with mocks for each interview and a lot of the questions he suggested came during the interview. He was always available for clearing any doubts, with direct access to WhatsApp and I hope to have him as a mentor going forward too. I gained admission to Harvard and would recommend working with Rajdeep at Admissions Gateway if one is targeting the top schools.
I worked with Rajdeep at Admissions Gateway on applications to five of the eight schools that I applied to. He came highly recommended by colleagues at work and seniors from college and his impeccable track record convinced me to work with him.
Getting a stellar GMAT score delayed my application process, so I was not able to work with Rajdeep on all my applications because he was full-up by the time I approached him. I worked with Rajdeep and the team and also paid for prep sessions and mocks with a number of other consultants for the rest of my applications.
While I worked with multiple consultants simultaneously, what set Rajdeep apart is his rigorous process for improving applications.
Rajdeep coached me for the Wharton interviews, spending a lot of time ensuring I was well-prepared for the interview and ready to handle any questions. He always gave me candid, detailed, and insightful feedback.
I felt that my experience of working with Rajdeep lived up to all the glowing recommendations I heard for him, and I would recommend him myself to anyone looking to apply to top business schools.
Nisha was an amazing guide throughout the tricky and highly competitive deferred MBA process. She provides high-quality, meaningful insights which brought out elements in my application that I hadn’t thought of or in a way that was completely unique. Her knowledge about tailoring the application for a deferred MBA and targeting specific questions as to why I need an MBA admission before I graduate college portray her depth of experience and knowledge in the area. Additionally, with every step of the application, Nisha provided great resources which helped me understand what made a great application.
Lastly, Nisha acted not only as a consultant throughout the process but as a partner who was equally devoted to achieving success from the process. Even through personal medical difficulties, she supported my application as an equal partner. Her detailed analysis, lightning-quick turnaround, and creative ideas as if it was her own application, are a testimony to her dedication.
Working with Nisha was an absolute pleasure. Being a final-year undergraduate, applying to the top B-Schools in the world, I was obviously extremely nervous. However, she left no stone unturned to make me feel at ease throughout the process.
While brainstorming with her, I got so much more clarity about my own life goals as we looked at each of my experiences from a very macro lens, trying to connect the dots backward.
The application process is extremely long, and requires complete dedication, and patience, and it was her motivation that helped me get through it.
If you’re looking for the recipe behind a successful application, you’ve come to the right place!
I chose to work with Admissions Gateway after many of my colleagues and friends recommended Rajdeep Chimni.
Rajdeep and others advised that I retake the GMAT so I sat out R1 of applications and focused on improving my GMAT score. In R2, we applied to Wharton, Kellogg, and INSEAD. Rajdeep and I did multiple rounds of questions sessions that taught me the value of self-reflection and made me ask myself questions that seemed obvious but I had never thought of before. He helped me a lot with introspection and defining & building my story for the applications.
I really liked working with Rajdeep because he takes the application process personally and he put a lot of care and effort into each application. You may be panicking but he is always calm and cool. The kind of insights he provided is remarkable and his encouragement helped bring out the best in me. He also provided me advice on my wife’s application even though she was not a client.
I have been offered admission at Wharton and INSEAD, along with scholarship offers of $40K and €18K respectively and I have nothing but praise for Rajdeep.
I decided to work with Rajdeep as three close friends from Unilever recommended Admissions Gateway after getting into Harvard. The word of mouth was so strong that I didn’t speak with or even consider other consultants.
Rajdeep helped me choose my stories, develop them and give them form, context, and structure. Over multiple iterations, we tuned my essays and Rajdeep has a high bar for what qualifies as a good essay.
Rajdeep helped me with interview preparation both for the Wharton TBD as well as the Harvard interview. We had video interviews with question by question feedback that made me feel confident. His attention to detail and simulation of an HBS interview is great.
Overall, working with Rajdeep was everything that I had hoped for and the result was great!
Applying to the top b-schools in the world can be quite a daunting process, especially as a final-year undergraduate. Partnering with Nisha helped me crack admits to all the b-schools I applied to.
Nisha was immensely helpful through every part of the application process right from School Selection all the way to Interview Prep and mocks. Her immaculate approach to self-realization and thinking helped me push myself to bring out the best in my stories.
As someone who started working with her less than 2 months before the application due dates, Nisha never let that become a problem. Her quick turnaround helped me craft the best possible applications. Nisha’s persistence to get the best out of me even through multiple iterations really helped me a lot.
If you are looking to get the best out of yourself in the process, I highly recommend working with Nisha & Admissions Gateway. Working with Nisha is by far the best investment you would ever make in your MBA journey.
Nisha’s guidance to the b-school application process was an amalgamation of a very structured framework-based approach to writing and personalized storytelling.
Her knowledge of points required by the admissions division of each of the top schools is commendable. From our very first call even before starting to work on applications, she gave me pointers on improving my profile. Accordingly, she helped me to craft a coherent story interweaving my pre-MBA career and my aspirational goals. This translated into a structured resume and crisp, to-the-point essays.
She adheres to very high-quality standards, bringing about continual improvement in all aspects of the application via multiple iterations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Nisha as your partner for the application journey.
I applied in R1 to MIT and Columbia without any consultant and was not even shortlisted for an interview. The straight rejections made me doubt my background as I repeatedly heard that my profile (software developer in high-frequency trading) is not a good fit for B-schools.
I contacted Nisha to get a profile assessment and discuss if I should apply to the top 10 B-schools. In my first call with Nisha, she showed belief in me and asked me to start from scratch and target R2.
She followed a very structured approach beginning with resume finalization, and goal discussions and then moving to the school essays. At every step, she kept highlighting my strengths and helped me stay confident.
Nisha guided me in restructuring my resume to translate it into a B-school resume. To be able to present it in a more impactful manner, she even helped me get guidance from industry experts.
Through webinars and one-to-one dedicated guidance, she helped me present my best form to the admissions committee, getting me 4/5 interview invites and a waitlist. During the interview preparation, she continued to support me by helping me structure my answers, sharing the interview experiences of others, and numerous mock interviews. All the mock sessions were really helpful as she had insightful points every time, which helped me secure admission from Booth (with scholarship) and Yale.
If you are looking to work with someone who can help you identify your strengths, and can give you school-specific advice, I highly recommend working with Nisha.
In 2021, I partnered with Nisha to work on my applications. Nisha possesses a wealth of knowledge and is a one-stop shop for all things applications related. Her approach toward the application was very structured and Nisha never lets you settle for anything other than the best. She also ensures that you work efficiently and your focus is on the things that matter.
For all major areas of application, she helped organize webinars for tips and tricks. Post webinars, she walked me through some samples to organize my thoughts. Finally, she always ensured to give a framework for each specific part of the application. This approach really helped me hit the ground running in drafting my application.
Nisha would always dig deeper and is very persistent in terms of quality, There have been multiple instances where we were almost against a deadline but that did not deter her from asking for multiple back and forth reviews till she was comfortable with the final content.
Always approachable, Nisha really helped me draft an all-rounded application. She reminded me of focusing on networking with students and alumni, and also helped me connect with them!
In the last leg of the application, Nisha helped me with practice mock interviews. For some schools where I struggled in my mock, she pushed for a second practice interview. Nisha gave me very valuable and actionable feedback with respect to content, body language, etc.
Calm, professional, positive, and persistent, Nisha was my anchor throughout this application process and has been an absolute Rockstar! She is very passionate about enabling you to present the very best version of yourself and I simply couldn’t have asked for a better consultant.
Nisha is the absolute best and a very professional consultant!
I would highly recommend her to anyone considering applying to business school. She is extremely knowledgeable, very structured, and pushes you to bring out the best in your stories.
Nisha is one of the few consultants who takes out time to hear you and learn more about you, hence helping you craft the most authentic story.
I worked with Nisha on 4 b-school applications. Got interview invites from all schools and admits from LBS and Ross.
Nisha is a very quality focussed person and ensures that content is of the highest possible quality even if it takes multiple iterations. My experience is summarized below:
Pros: 1. Nisha is great with content. She knows what the school wants and how your story fits with the school’s values. 2. Nisha starts from scartch and makes you think hard about your story to make it bullet-proof. 3. Nisha doesn’t compromise on quality at all. She ensures you re-write paragraphs or hunt for information/metrics if that’s required to strengthen your application. 4. Nisha is very calm and positive, which helps in the panic situations a lot (these situations happen more often than one expects!).
Cons: 1. Slow on follow-ups. You need to check in with her for feedback/updates diligently yourself.
Overall, Nisha is an amazing consultant that you can rely on to give you the best of her abilities and make you reach your full potential.
After making my due diligence on the various consultants on the transparency on the reach and dream targets, and the overall process I decided to go ahead with Admission Gateway. I started my resume preparation process with Mudit. Throughout the process, Mudit helped me to develop that strategic perspective. The transformative thinking was completely new for a person from a technical background. The process really helped me to understand the impact of my work from a broader perspective. After the foundation was laid through viewing the work from a CEO’s mindset and understanding the impact, we started with school-specific questions. Nisha’s insight into every school’s culture really helped me to draw upon my experiences that aligned with the school. Her constant focus on the improvement of your essays is commendable. The focus on specificity really helps you to get the minutiae of your story and make it authentic and unique. The same was reflected to bring out the uniqueness in my profile through the interview. If you are someone who views this opportunity to self-reflect and really understand your journey I would certainly recommend going with Nisha. I would only request you to be patient with her as this process is not going to be easy and will involve a lot of iterations followed by hours staring into the unknown reflecting on the whys asked across your stories.
I am extremely grateful that I picked Admissions Gateway and was assigned Nisha as my counselor. As an early career applicant and the first one in my family to pursue an MBA, I had my apprehensions. During my MBA application process, I soon realized that the secret recipe for success is in crafting your story, here Nisha is an absolute rockstar. During our initial calls, we solely focused on this aspect of my application, and her constant suggestions and inputs really helped me to connect my current goals with my long-term goals and craft a well-rounded story. During the resume building process, the game changer for me was Nisha’s input to think like a CEO, and always think about the impact that’s created by the actions, this really helped me quantify a lot of my achievements. These lessons I will use for the rest of my professional career. My most recent work experience is in my family business, and I was told by a lot of individuals that the admission departments of various schools look down on individuals coming from an Indian family business, especially the ones which are mid-sized. But instead of thinking about this as a weakness, Nisha helped me to portray this as one of my biggest strengths, which was a game changer for my application. I am matriculating to Darden Business school, and have received a half-tuition merit scholarship. I am extremely grateful to Nisha and her entire team for helping me during this journey and highly recommend Admissions Gateway to everyone!
In 2021, I worked with Nisha on my application to the top 10 US B-schools. I was extremely impressed by her overall approach to the application and how much she pushed me to improve the quality of my application materials. For each aspect of the application like resume building, school-specific essays, etc., she held webinars that were very helpful in getting an overall idea of the approach and how to navigate specific hurdles. Post webinars, she walked me through some samples which served as frameworks for structuring my ideas. I was delighted that she started the process for me very early in May, which allowed her to dedicate enough time to every part of my application. Nisha was very conscious in terms of the quality of each part of the application and had a clear idea of the end output. I specifically appreciated the number of iterations and discussions that went into the resume building and goal-setting process, which played a huge part in smoothly tackling the essay writing part of the application. She also pushed me a lot on doing thorough research of each school I was applying to through networking with students and alumni and attending important live events for each school, helping me enhance the quality of my essays. In the last leg of the application, Nisha helped me with practice mock interviews. For some schools that required applicants to prepare video essays, she was very helpful in creating a script and giving feedback on facial expressions and delivery. Overall, Nisha was instrumental in my admission to Wharton (with $$$) and Ross. For anyone that is looking to take on the daunting task of applying to M7/T15 US B-schools, I highly recommend Nisha to help you in your journey.
TL;DR: Nisha pushed me to create the best application I can. Working with Nisha this year and a different consultant last year, I know the huge difference in the quality of the applications I was able to put out working with Nisha due to both her depth of understanding of the process and the rigor about making each and every part of the application as good as possible. When I applied to the M7 schools in 2020 with another consultant I did not receive any invite-only interviews. I felt hopeless, I chose to work with Nisha in 2021 who gave me the confidence to apply to the top schools.
Nisha guided me even before we started working on the applications on the steps I could take to improve my profile in the meantime. As we started working on the applications, she started with organizing webinars and providing knowledge and frameworks to do well in the application process. I realized the incredible depth of knowledge Nisha and the team had on how to approach each and every aspect of the process.
Through the said frameworks, personal guidance, and samples of her past students I was able to work on my applications swiftly without getting confused about what was expected of me. While building my own application Nisha helped me introspect on my own story and was always open to what I was thinking without pressuring me towards a set direction.
The thing that jumped out to me the most was the high expectation of quality for each and every part of my application. For instance, as I created my CV – We went through 15 drafts with Nisha pushing me to do better with each draft so that I could communicate my accomplishments to the Adcom in the best manner. This held true for all the other aspects of the process as well.
Because of a delayed GMAT score as I was running late on my R1 applications, Nisha was very supportive. Even in the last week of the deadlines, Nisha helped me in reviewing my essays so enabling me to put out 3-4 drafts in a day.
Once I got my interview calls Nisha helped me practice my interview skills for each and every school as many times as I needed and even scheduled a Mock Team-Based discussion practice that helped me perform well in the Wharton interview.
If you want to put your best foot forward for your MBA applications, I would recommend you to go with Nisha. It will be a lot of hard work but you will come out satisfied and happy on the other end.
Before meeting Rajdeep, my resume was 3 pages long and I had cited every possible thing I did. Rajdeep shared what schools exactly look for – this helped me refine each bullet point on my resume in a particular format. We even went as far as picking the right words for the achievements!
I was impressed by how patiently Rajdeep heard my past experiences when it came to goal thinking. While I was clear on what I wanted to do, Rajdeep helped me refine and narrow it down to very specific, achievable yet ambitious long-term and short-term goals.
I really loved Rajdeep’s approach of having webinars and citing previous examples that helped me understand what each school was looking for. It allowed me to cater my application to each school and narrate my most effective stories.
The essay assistance was the highlight. I loved how Rajdeep would encourage me to come up with multiple drafts of different stories and we would together brainstorm on what works the best. He really knows how to tailor your essay for each school.
The interview prep was solid! Rajdeep even guessed who would interview me and what the interviewing style was! The mocks he conducted were in line with the actual interview so I was confident going in.
All in all, Rajdeep was always available to discuss and my essay edits/resume edits were returned on time. I am glad I chose to work with him!
I heard about Rajdeep from Poets&Quants and he was also recommended by college seniors who had worked with him. I spoke to multiple counselors and chose Rajdeep due to his clarity. I was impressed by his insights during our call and his experience working with clients from a healthcare background.
Rajdeep’s approach was structured. What I liked about his approach was the fact that he utilized synergies among the essays of different schools to minimize the work involved while also leaving adequate time for research. I also appreciated the detailed brainstorming calls at the beginning, which allowed me to think my story through and better articulate my career goals.
Rajdeep has no limits when it comes to time spent interacting with each client. In the case of one essay, we went to the 10th draft but we kept iterating until I produced an output that met his high standards. Rajdeep remained prompt throughout and continued to answer even basic queries. Lastly, AG’s resume-making process is legendary. Through a series of discussions, Rajdeep helped me transform a muddled group of points into a structured and to-the-point CV that gave a complete picture of me to the adcom.
Using the approach that he laid out, I finished the essays for most of the schools well in advance while also getting to dedicate time to the more open-ended essays. Rather than an admissions consultant, I prefer to call Rajdeep a coach. Presenting your story and goals within the word limits set by schools isn’t easy and he helped me become a person who can articulate thoughts succinctly while creating the same impact.
Due to our efforts, I secured interview invites from 4 of the 5 M7 schools I applied to in Round 1. Rajdeep continued to provide the same support he had provided during the essay writing stage, conducting one-on-one and group sessions for each school’s interview. Unfortunately, I faced some personal challenges during that time, which ultimately impacted my interview performance. With one waitlist and my quota of 5 schools exhausted, I was really worried about Round 2.
I feel that what differentiates Rajdeep from other consultants is that he lives and breathes the process together with his clients. He offered to help me apply to the schools I had kept for Round 2 at the start of the process completely free of charge. He never pushed me to choose schools that I did not wish to apply to despite the risk of his client success rate being affected, a fact that I appreciate. Rajdeep’s support continued to be impeccable during Round 2 and he also played a major role in keeping my morale high.
After a year of working together, our hard work bore fruit when I was accepted by London Business School with a significant scholarship. I credit Rajdeep for this admit and cannot imagine going through the process without his support. He is someone who truly cares about the people he works with.
I heard about Rajdeep from colleagues who secured admits in R1. On the first call I was convinced that he is my best bet for interviews and the Wharton TBD preparation.
Prep for Team Based Discussions with Rajdeep deserves a special mention. Rajdeep hosts a detailed workshop on the mechanics of a TBD. There are discussions around the framework of TBD, the roles one can take, scenarios one can encounter, and the final presentation of the TBD.
He then helps you with your pitch and walks you through scenarios that could occur. Then he conducts mock TBD sessions and provides both individual and group feedback. I was impressed with the detailed feedback for the participants. He tells you what you need to do and what you need to improve. He told me to be more participative from the beginning and not to only summarize others’ points but also add value and move the discussion forward.
For the Wharton interviews he has a very detailed discussion on how to answer various questions and made me research the program and then connect it to my goals and values. This was followed by a mock and iterative feedback. This preparation helped me feel confident on interview day!
A lot of b-school admits over the last two years mentioned Rajdeep’s track record of helping a ton of people from Consulting + VC. My experience of working with Rajdeep was phenomenal. He added a lot of value to my thought process and essay drafts, due to which I could submit my applications as a more confident candidate.
Of the consultants that I evaluated, Rajdeep stood out from the initial call. He spent time with me to understand my journey. I knew that I had to sign up with him when he summarized my journey much better than I had communicated to him.
After joining, I was amazed to see how he had a crafted approach for each step of the process. For instance, his frameworks on resume writing helped me determine the most impactful projects and how I should pitch those in the best way, a task that was uphill for me since I had worked on a total of 50+ projects across organizations.
Additionally, since my work experience varied across sectors and domains, it was difficult to think about what I wanted to do ahead and how business school could help me. I loved Rajdeep’s approach to storytelling here. He gave me a lot of time to arrive at different storylines before we arrived at the common thread tying my life experiences together and how those could tie into my goals.
Rajdeep had great insight into each school. He helped me tweak my narrative for each school to help me position myself based on the kind of leaders that the particular school seeks. To facilitate this process, he used his network to connect me to students and alums to expedite my research.
When I received interview invites, Rajdeep organized preparation workshops, sent preparation material, and conducted multiple mock interviews. The preparation was so exhaustive that in none of my interviews did I face a question that Rajdeep and I had not discussed and personalized beforehand.
While Rajdeep explored my storyline deeply, he also made sure that we are not stuck on one part of the process. We often ran parts simultaneously. This and the straightforward feedback he had, kept me motivated and accountable throughout, factors quite underrated if I look at things in hindsight.
On balance, it would be safe to say that I could not have made it to Wharton with a huge scholarship without Rajdeep’s mentorship.
All my friends worked with Rajdeep and attended top-5 schools so I reached out to him as he came highly recommended. Right from the go, it was clear to me why he’s considered the best in the business. His nuanced inputs helped me transform my incoherent resume into a compelling narrative that could vividly replay my journey even with a cursory glance.
While crafting essays, I was astounded by the effectiveness of the framework that Rajdeep provides for initial brainstorming. When we would get on a call to discuss the contents of the essay, I would feel like he had a super processor in his brain that enabled him to piece together my disparate experiences into a powerful story, one that always existed but I had been unable to see. His school-specific insights helped me write essays that I felt sure would create a lasting impression on the Admissions Committee.
Rajdeep’s interview frameworks are great. He helps one build answers that are structured yet conversational and detailed yet engaging. Even though I would settle for an ‘okay’ answer, Rajdeep would push me to send him Whatsapp voice messages with improved answers. My Kellogg alumni interviewer later told me that he was sold on me just on hearing my answer for ‘Why Kellogg’. My Wharton interviewer, an Ad Com member, said later on that my TBD performance was the best she had seen this year. Even in the HBS interview, even though the interviewer drilled down to ask very specific questions, I was prepared to handle them and felt that I couldn’t have done any better. All I did in these interviews was to fully embrace Rajdeep’s guidance.
I ended up getting admitted to Wharton ($$$) and Kellogg in R1. Over the past two years, I have spoken with many consultants, both within India and abroad, but I can say that without a doubt, no one comes close to matching Rajdeep’s knowledge and knack for building winning applications.
Rajdeep was a godsend at a point in time when I was doing a lot of things on my own for my applications. I had heard that he was good but his first interaction just blew me away. From understanding what a TBD is, I walked away knowing how to think about my pitch, draft my pitch, the structure for TBD, and handle practically every scenario that may occur in the TBD.
In addition to Rajdeep’s crystal clear thought process, I loved how Rajdeep was always available 24*7 and replied very promptly on WhatsApp. This was a big factor for me and put me at ease knowing that I can always count on him replying in time.
Rajdeep helped me through multiple iterations of my draft and interview answers and always diligently and patiently answered all my questions, which there were a lot of! When I was stuck in drafting some of my answers, he gave me direction on how to think and improve.
I can surely say that my Wharton admit would not have happened without him and to prospective applicants I would just say that beyond all great success stats if there is one thing you should know about Rajdeep then it is that ‘he is downright a nice guy & trust me, this is a huge factor in you having a positive experience with any admissions consultant.
My Initial call with Rajdeep was helpful in setting expectations; the process was clearly laid out with actionable steps – for a blue sky process like an MBA application, the structure helped. Moreover, he had a great experience with candidates from investing backgrounds.
Rajdeep takes a deep interest in his candidates and that shows – from the goal thinking exercise to probing into various aspects of life to understand the core motivation for an MBA was useful not just for the process but also for life in general.
His approach is structured and helps one think through all aspects (personal life, early education, impact at work) deeply to arrive at a personal essay that depicts one’s best self. Rajdeep is one of the few counselors that really helps build out the resume– he pushes you to think strategically and of the larger impact that is often missing, and ensures that one is not underselling themselves.
His guidance on essays was great – the first version of my essay to the final version saw a dramatic change in the depth of thinking. Rajdeep is also very thorough in interview prep – he conducted mock interviews that helped me understand what to expect, calm my nerves and be better prepared for D-Day. Rajdeep is always a phone call away throughout the process, a big plus given how emotionally demanding the process is.
Rajdeep has a strong reputation and experience in working with PE candidates. So many of my colleagues at Harvard and Wharton recommended him.
Working with Rajdeep always felt like working with a close friend/mentor, someone who knew me on a personal level. His vast experience along with his genuine intent made the difficult self-introspection process an enjoyable experience.
Rajdeep pushed me constantly to bring out the best. A week before the HBS deadline, all set to upload my essay, Rajdeep called me late in the night and said, “I was going through your essay again. I really like it but I think we can rework the last section and make it better.” The re-worked output came out much better.
Rajdeep takes that extra step, be it with essays, interviews, or even scholarships, and that extra step gave me confidence that I had another friend/mentor who genuinely wanted me to find success.
I read about Rajdeep on Poets&Quants and heard good things about him from friends who applied before me. My story was not clear when I began applying. I applied to a few schools in round 1 without a counselor and could not convey a complete picture of myself in my applications. Rajdeep’s clarity on what to convey and how to tell your story left me spellbound. We got on multiple calls to clear my head and come up with a good story that depicts all the important aspects of my life. Considering my very non-traditional background, Rajdeep’s guidance helped in framing my work aspects in a way that can be appreciated by the admissions committee.
Rajdeep has been quite approachable. It never took me more than a day’s wait to get on a call with him. His availability helped me work through the finer aspects of storytelling in detail and come up with a good story. He even went out of his way and helped me apply to a school beyond the package I had paid for. He went above and beyond to help me prepare for interviews. When I was not prepared enough, he was straight forward and once asked me to postpone the interview and invest more time in preparation. He never sugar coats things and that helps in the application turning out quite genuine and presentable. I can’t think of a better counselor than Rajdeep to go through this arduous and demanding process!
I highly recommend Nisha to everyone who is embarking upon the Ivy-League journey. Key-pointers: • Extremely knowledgeable • Follows a structured approach • Completely invested in her candidates • Results-oriented • Approachable at all times
Talking about my experience: I heard about Nisha from my colleague (who also got admitted to HSW with scholarship). The first call with her was really insightful, she laid out the entire process in front of me. I was highly impressed with her in-depth knowledge of all the schools. She knew exactly what each school wants from the candidates. Nisha studied my profile in detail and came up with a structured plan with clear deadlines. We started from scratch with my resume. Over numerous iterations, Nisha helped me to create a high impact resume and made sure that my strengths were properly highlighted. Next up, we had multiple sessions to discuss my short-term and long-term goals. Nisha’s inputs were extremely valuable and gave me a unique perspective to jot down my aspirations. Based on my goals and my profile Nisha helped me to shortlist the schools to apply to. After finalizing the schools, we worked on my story. Nisha is the best when it comes to storytelling, she inspires you and leaves ample space for you to drive your thoughts. Through multiple brainstorming sessions, Nisha enabled me to create a coherent narrative incorporating my professional, personal, and academic experiences. We did tens of iterations on my story and Nisha ensured that my story was crisp and impactful. Nisha’s understanding of what each school appreciates in an application is unparalleled. Once we had a narrative in place, we customized our essays for each school to bring out the desired quality. After getting calls for interviews (with a 100% success rate), Nisha prepped me for the interviews. The resources she shared were extremely helpful. She had a really good idea of the probable questions. We worked on each and every question in detail and had multiple mock interview sessions. Later, Nisha also organized mock TBD with other aspirants. She was always available to discuss questions and provide feedback (at all hours!) to make sure that I felt confident going into the interview. Her feedback in terms of the content of the answer as well as the soft skills was always on point. The mock sessions worked wonders for me, 90% of the questions asked in the interview were already covered in the mocks. Nisha was as committed to my application as I was. Apart from being a consultant, she was a constant support, a motivator, and a mentor. She kept pushing until the very last moment and went above and beyond the scope of her work to achieve outstanding results.
Rajdeep has a structured approach to Wharton’s interview preparation which works fantastically, since Wharton’s interview is a very unique Team-Based Group Discussion (TBD) format followed by a shorter 1:1 interview. I was convinced I wanted to work with him on the interview preparation right after our first call, where he was able to break down for me how Wharton evaluates a candidate during an interview, why the School has a differentiated interview format, and what are the various roles one can assume during a TBD.
He then provided a very elaborate workshop on the workings of a group discussion and provided guidance on how to structure the discussion, build on people’s points and move the discussion forward in a way that helps the group reach the designated outcome within time allotted. I did 2 mock TBDs with him and got individual feedback on my performance, my strengths and how I could do better in the different scenarios I may be faced with during the D-Day.
Rajdeep was available over call and was flexible to accommodate my mock timing preferences so I could be on top of preparation while managing a day job. Post the mocks, he helped me hone my answers to the ‘why Wharton’ and ‘why MBA’ questions, provided a framework within which to evaluate and refine my pitch and gave feedback on the length, structure and timing of my answer pitches till I had perfected them.
I highly recommend working with Rajdeep on interview preparations, especially for Wharton and other M7 schools.
She was a thorough professional when it came to suggesting the university fit. She not only helped me get admitted to three universities of my choice but also helped me with my scholarship essays. I would be more than happy to recommend her to anyone looking for a highly sought-after admissions consultant. The way she helped me bring out my true story in my essays was commendable, and she was always available to answer my queries, including on public holidays.
HBS (129k$), Wharton, CBS, Tuck (40k$), Kellogg.
My first attempt at MBA application was without any consultant in 2020 and I was rejected from MIT, HBS, Wharton and Booth. The series of rejections made me doubt my candidacy for M7 schools.
In 2021, I partnered with Nisha to work on my applications. Despite rejections from 4 schools, she gave me the required confidence to reapply again. Her approach toward the application was very refreshing.
For all major areas of application, she helped organize webinars for tips and tricks. Post webinars, she walked me through some samples to Chileanize my thoughts. Finally, she always ensured to give a framework for each specific part of the application. Overall the webinars + samples + framework helped me hit the ground running in drafting my application.
Nisha is very persistent in terms of quality, There have been multiple instances where we were almost against a deadline but that did not deter her from asking for multiple back and forth reviews till she was comfortable with the final content.
Always approachable and swift in terms of her response Nisha really helped me draft an all-rounded application. She reminded me of focusing on networking with students, alumni, and the MBA Admission team.
In the last leg of the application, Nisha helped me with webinars + practice mock interviews. For some schools where I struggled in my mock, she pushed for a second practice interview.
Calm, professional, positive, and persistent Nisha helped me get admitted to HBS, Wharton, CBS, Tuck, and Kellogg – all the 5 schools I worked with her.
If you are someone who wants to really invest yourself in the process and realize the true power of self-reflection in getting admits to B-Schools, Nisha is hands down one-stop-shop.
Rajdeep was extremely frank in our first conversion – he did not sugar-coat anything – and that was very important for strong applications later. Moreover, he has a stellar track record with PE/VC individuals applying to the top-5.
B-School applications are a roller-coaster ride and I am glad that I had Rajdeep’s support. He worked with me right from school selection strategy. He did not shy away from making a tough decision to defer Stanford applications to round 2 as it would give me more time to craft stronger applications for the other 4 schools. Moreover, he was extremely available throughout the process and this was critical as I had a hectic job schedule.
For resume construction, goal structuring and essay storytelling, Rajdeep’s experience with candidates having a similar background helped to effectively brainstorm and outline ideas. From there, Rajdeep worked closely in crafting my unique narrative and along with the feedback, I felt comfortable expressing my voice.
I interviewed at HWKB and will be attending Wharton!
I found Rajdeep’s reviews on Poets&Quants and other websites. On an introductory call, he laid out the end-to-end process. As someone who wasn’t very clear on their story, the thoroughness of his approach (starting from the resume and brainstorming) gave me confidence.
Further, I read that Rajdeep is meticulous about having as many calls as needed to get the application right, unlike other counselors who charge by the hour/per meeting. I felt I needed that hands-on approach.
Coming in, I was unclear about my story – Rajdeep spent weeks with me to run through my experiences and help me come up with a winning story. We had bi-weekly calls to detail 7-8 ideas, but he stayed patient and took as much time as needed to find one that worked. Taking this time early on made the application writing part simpler, and it gave me clarity when I was reaching out to alumni/professors/admissions officers.
Rajdeep has a knack for simplifying complex essays down to 2-3 key archetypes. By taking this approach, I was able to zoom in on 8-9 of my key life experiences and plug-and-play these both in my essays as well as my interviews. Working with Rajdeep on essays, I felt his greatest value was in helping me craft these examples in a way that would bring out my accomplishments. Rajdeep was also meticulous about doing as many iterations as necessary to ensure every word told a story.
Rajdeep went above and beyond in interview prep – we ended up doing mock interviews for a couple of schools that I wasn’t even taking his assistance for. He was forthright in his feedback and asked me to re-record answers to specific questions until I had my responses nailed down. He also asked some atypical questions during these mock interviews, a couple of which actually came up in my real ones.
Rajdeep was prompt in responding to messages and I never had to wait longer than 2 days to block his time. This agility was really helpful when fine-tuning storylines and iterating on essays.
Rajdeep really knows his stuff!
He helps the candidate sculpt their application and bring out the absolute best from their story for BSchools to see. His understanding of what really is the purpose of each essay and what the school is really looking for translates into how he brainstorms and structures the essays with the candidates. Even when sometimes, I was not sure about a specific thing, I had been told “Blindly trust Rajdeep, he knows what he is saying” and having followed that throughout the application process, I can unequivocally say I agree and my recommendation to anyone is – go with Rajdeep and trust him blindly 🙂
The MD at my PE firm mentioned Rajdeep’s reputation of being a very strong advisor throughout the application process. Rajdeep had also helped another colleague gain admission to Wharton. I was a reapplicant and had applied to Harvard, Wharton and Columbia before with another counselor. Given my MD’s recommendation this year I worked with Rajdeep.
I enjoyed the experience of working with Rajdeep and deeply valued his inputs throughout the process. He has a methodical and structured approach to each aspect of the application process and his experience of working with candidates sharing a similar background shone through when he advised me on my resume and essays.
He has an honest and efficient approach right from school selection to discussing goals and deciding key aspects of an individual’s story, and the healthy feedback mechanism helped me remain grounded and continuously introspect to improve my storyline and essays.
Rajdeep managed process timelines well and was always available whenever I had any questions which helped me juggle between work and applications and apply to all the schools that I had planned without any last-minute struggle.
I enjoyed working with and learning from Rajdeep and I’m grateful for his strategic and timely inputs that helped me put my best foot forward and gain admission to Harvard and Columbia.
Colleagues at my consulting firm introduced me to Rajdeep. Working with him made my MBA application process worth enjoying. While the perception around the apps phase is that of stress, Rajdeep structured the process in a seamless manner through his years of knowledge. Further, he ensures an intricate level of detail towards each candidate’s individual story, strengths, and aspirations.
Rajdeep provides significant upfront direction and guidance through one-to-one calls and frameworks. Getting these guardrails upfront allowed me to create initial outlines and structure my thoughts. Post-that, over multiple reviews on call and email, Rajdeep would enable you to take each part of the application to perfection. He himself maintains a high expectation of quality which ensures that you commit to an abundant level of introspection and research.
We started the process early on in April. Rajdeep walked us through the building blocks of an application-quality resume and detailed tactical frameworks to follow to write the first drafts. Over iterations, he ensured that each sentence of my resume was communicating impact at the highest level and my consulting + startup work experience was demonstrating the right mix of analytical abilities and implementation work.
Next-up, Rajdeep and I spent time deliberating and deciding my short-term and long-term goals. Here again, Rajdeep had a helpful framework of identifying problem-areas that mattered to me / I had worked in and then arrive at my solutions to those problem-areas. We narrowed down on a primary and secondary route. Thinking of secondary plans was helpful during the interview process.
Rajdeep provided upfront guidance on each essay and then iterated on an initial outline(s) that I came up with. Rajdeep had individualised knowledge and frameworks for each essay prompt of each school that I was applying to. He helped me a lot in making my writing more active (vs. passive) and easier to comprehend (vs. jargon and complexities). This went a long way as a lot of my work was in a niche industry and finding the right mix of detail and simplicity was tricky.
While each part of Rajdeep’s support surpassed expectations, the support during interview prep was the most impactful. Through my peers who were working with other Indian and global MBA consultants, I was aware of the process followed by others. Rajdeep started off by detailing out the 3-4 categories of possible interview questions and then detailing the structure, timelines, and high-quality sample answers for each of those questions. None of my peers’ consultants came close to this kind of depth in terms of interview prep, especially the question repository and answering templates. For each individual school, Rajdeep worked with me to prepare and perfect answers. Specifically for Wharton’s GD, Rajdeep’s laser-sharp feedback on matter, manner, and method was valuable.
Rajdeep was always a ping-away in terms of any big and small questions. We did 1-2 individual calls per week over the R1 process (April – November) and each of these calls was scheduled seamlessly and always conducted on time.
I gained admission to Kellogg, another M7 school and a top-10 school, and recommend Rajdeep as he will ensure that you get the absolute best-possible application out to each school.
Being an early career candidate, I knew that the admission process will be challenging for me. A fellow colleague with a Booth admit recommended Admissions Gateway to me and I blindly went ahead and am very happy that I did. During our first call, Ms. Nisha listened patiently to my story. Since we were early on in the process, she gave me very strong actionable suggestions on how I can make my application stronger in the upcoming months. She insisted that I think about my long term goals from Day 1. When I had to make an important career decision a few months before the application deadline, she willingly gave her inputs making me confident in my candidature. During resume making, the webinars gave a structure to the thinking process. The insistence of the team to “think from the point of view of the CEO” made me realize the actual impact of the work that I had done. In fact, this way of thinking is something that I will carry on for the rest of my professional career. The best part of the entire application process was the goal setting. It wasn’t an exercise in vain only for the sake of the application. Through Nisha’s guidance, I uncovered the trends in the industry and came up with solid goals. The clarity of these were highly appreciated by the adcom of the schools. The compulsion of the need to be specific in the essays was sometimes frustrating. Yet, Nisha kept pushing me to keep doing better. The end result was of course worth it! The very clear interview preparation guidance gave me a structured way forward. I was able to prepare myself for all possible questions. Especially the school specific research that was highly recommended by Nisha right from Day 1 made me come across as an interesting and motivated candidate. With 3 years of work experience at the time of matriculation, I have secured admits from Fuqua ($$) and Haas. Nisha gets the highest of my recommendations and I am thankful to her to help me achieve my dreams.
Rajdeep has helped multiple friends who are attending M7 schools so his track record speaks for itself. We started with my resume, and he helped me look at it from an MBA applications lens. Our goals discussion was quite eye-opening because applicants sometimes are too close to their story to objectively assess how various aspects tie together.
Rajdeep has a structured approach to essays, which allows you to craft a first draft. Post this, the real value lies in the brainstorming and discussions where he critically evaluates your story, asks probing questions, and hones in on the “why”, “how”, and “where does this lead”. He brings a very objective lens and doesn’t shy away from digging deep into your story and questioning preconceived notions.
The essays require a sparring partner to truly bring out your story, and I found the perfect one in Rajdeep. This process works well when there is no fixed number of iterations, and that is exactly his approach. The cherry on the top is that he has deep knowledge of school specific nuances; he helps you craft your unique selling points for a particular school.
Starting with a framework driven interview approach, Rajdeep dives into providing customized feedback. He even reviews your answers over WhatsApp voice notes, sharing what qualities and aspects are strengths and what needs to improve. Another aspect that is unique is that after his mocks he pairs up applicants to conduct mocks, and this idea sharing really helps.
Rajdeep is super responsive on email and WhatsApp, and you can expect a response in a couple of hours! He also helped me when I shared that I wanted to submit my applications earlier than the deadlines due to personal commitments. This flexibility in approach is crucial especially when one is juggling priorities and needs breathing space.
One of the biggest aspects of the application process is the level of comfort with the consultant. In the stressful application season, I always got off a call with Rajdeep feeling relaxed and with clarity on the next steps. He always sent encouraging messages on interview days (both pre and post interviews), decision dates, and was always happy to brainstorm while I was making the final decision regarding my B-School. His affable approach helped me manage my stress and always helped me find humor in situations.
Working with Rajdeep has felt like a true partnership in a process that can feel daunting and overwhelming. It is important to work with someone who can provide you with the right direction over 6-7 months so that you are constantly putting your best foot forward. I am glad to have made the choice that proved right for me.
I read about Rajdeep on P&Q! His strong track record and the approach he shared during our initial conversation stood out.
Rajdeep’s initial approach was well structured and clearly tried and tested, which gave a sense of confidence. This encompassed the entire resume-building process and goals thinking. We spent several weeks iterating on the resume, but it became clear how useful this is when we started thinking about goals and the essays. Through the resume he formed a clear grasp on the most compelling story, making the essays a much more targeted process.
With the essays, he gave room for personal creativity while providing advice on how to make the end product targeted based on what the schools like to see. He pushed me several times when he thought my research and examples weren’t good enough, which made the essays significantly better.
With interviews, Rajdeep clearly knew what type of questions to prepare and what each school typically asks. He made time to practice and pushed me to refine my answers. There were no shortcuts – Rajdeep’s experience came through, and he was clearly invested in my success throughout the process.
