Rajdeep was strongly recommended by multiple friends at Harvard and Wharton, and it was a fantastic experience working with him. The first conversation in March where he evaluated my profile and advised on elements to focus on over the next 3-4 months was very helpful, and helped develop a great resume.
Next, the process of thinking about goals and cultivating ideas for essays was very involved, where Rajdeep spent incredible efforts to dissect each idea, often combining elements from multiple thought streams to finally help develop a great structure that made the eventual essay writing process fairly easy and quick.
Throughout the writing stage, what was also very useful was the material Rajdeep shared for each output, which helped expand avenues in terms of how I would frame ideas. In terms of interview prep, Rajdeep was absolutely spot on with the questions he got me to prepare for each interview and also helped review audio and video clips of iterations of my answers, making tweaks that helped improve the content and delivery.
Throughout the process, he remained easily accessible on WhatsApp, and also accommodated expedited review cycles during the end rush.
I heard about Rajdeep through multiple sources – a google search threw up Rajdeep as the number 1 Admissions Consultant globally. Also, peers who had worked with him gave glowing reviews.
Apart from the amazing reviews, my first conversation with Rajdeep made all the difference. I had lined up conversations with top admissions consultants (also rated highly on P&Q), but as I spoke to Rajdeep – I could notice a clear difference in approach and a candid demeanor. Rajdeep focussed on helping me from the get-go and not on “selling” like most of the other consultants. I liked the fact that he was understated and he let his results speak for him.
The highlight of the process with Rajdeep was the fact that he pushed me to work on my applications in a disciplined and timely manner while I was travelling for work – Rajdeep made sure that the applications remained top of mind. This shows that he is willing to go beyond his defined role and be a true partner in the process.
The approach to the applications which involved a well thought out timeline focussed on first building the resume and thinking about goals helped me knock out key pieces of the application early on. Rajdeep through iterations of feedback pushed me to think about my achievements and accomplishments through a new lens and ensure that they stand out.
The process of going through different options for each essay/story and not quickly settling on one helped ensure that we were picking the best possible “story” for each essay and at times also helped bolster the chosen option on the back of key elements from the others that we were set to discard.
One thing I really liked about Rajdeep was the fact that he always looked to push me to do better on my essays, no matter how much I pushed back :P. He was always open to listening to new ideas and potential options even if work on a chosen option was underway.
Rajdeep’s interview prep webinars, as well as mock interviews, were useful as I geared up for my 3 interviews – Kellogg, CBS and LBS – Rajdeep helped me prepare for each of these individually and pushed me to do better on my video essays as well.
He was always super responsive on WhatsApp and always had time to get on a call. Our work led to success at Kellogg and LBS!
I heard about Rajdeep through positive reviews on Poets&Quants. I specifically chose Rajdeep because he had experience as a reapplicant and he had a background in technology, so he was able to understand my background and goals.
Rajdeep and I started talking after I was waitlisted at Booth in 2020-2021. He offered to help me navigate the waitlist, including updating my resume and sending updates. Although I did not get into Booth, I had such a great experience working with Rajdeep that I signed on for a full package this year.
I had a great experience working with Rajdeep. I came from a technical background, and I did not know how to write an MBA resume highlighting my accomplishments. Rajdeep asked me the right questions to be able to best assess the impact that I could highlight in my resume. He supported me every step of the way, starting with webinars to address different school essays, to individual coaching sessions where he coaxed out the best ideas for my essay. He went through many iterations of my essays, and he was honest with me when he felt that my essays were not my best work.
I was impressed at how Rajdeep was always available. Although he was located in India and I was in the US, I could WhatsApp him at any time and he would get back within a couple of hours.
Lastly, I appreciated that Rajdeep was very encouraging. He sent good luck messages over email or WhatsApp before the acceptance dates, and even when I was not accepted to a school, he sent me an encouraging message. I was genuinely excited to talk to him about my results.
I was referred to Rajdeep by students at Harvard and Wharton, and was sure that he would provide the best advice for the MBA application journey.
I applied to 4 of the top 5 schools and got admits from all of them because of Rajdeep’s valuable insights on each step of the process – right from resume building to interview preparation. He pushed me to think deeper for each essay and helped me improve my story-telling skills.
He is highly approachable and provided guidance till I was happy with my story; unlike a lot of top consultants who give limited hours of consultation. Rajdeep helped me prepare for my interviews in a short span of time and even set up mock interviews with other applicants.
Another great thing about Rajdeep is that he proactively pushed me to adhere to timelines so that I had enough time to iterate on my essays and do mock interviews.
Rajdeep is the best consultant for 3 simple reasons: 1. School-specific insights – he brings nuanced school-specific insights which help customize your story for different schools 2. Highly approachable – he will always be available to help you brainstorm on your story or do mock interviews 3. Depth of service – he helped me shortlist the schools I should apply to, build my resume, frame my goals, connect with students, work on essays, and practice interviews. While consultants cover this breadth of services, I doubt anyone has the depth that Rajdeep does. This is apparent in the final results.
I was referred by a Harvard alumna and also received excellent reviews from everyone we spoke with. I had a great experience working with Rajdeep at Admissions Gateway.
Approach to Application: The Admissions Gateway framework of b-school application is a simple one that reads – “Everything it takes.” Rajdeep will cover every aspect from planning, to school selection, to essay brainstorming, to CV, and even online forms. Very few, if any, of the consultants do this.
It is difficult to get Rajdeep as your consultant but once you do, rest assured he will boil the ocean to make things happen. Given that I work in Private Equity I was swamped at work but Rajdeep would set short timelines which were critical in ensuring progress. He adheres to timelines and builds buffers given the uncertainty we faced during Covid. This was critical in ensuring success as I had to ‘up my game’ to finish my essay drafts. On timelines, he doesn’t mind being the bad cop/ tough guy if one is not showing the commitment/ if there is no progress. You see in him a genuine desire to get you into a good school.
Resume: Very focused on getting the CV sealed in the early days. Will cover all aspects of the work-life through detailed discussions and will try to open new doors by telling you about how others earlier have highlighted similar points. Helps build the CV that fits well into the story.
Goals Thinking: Rajdeep really helped push my thinking in getting clarity on my goals. While I had an answer (one that seemed clear to me), Rajdeep pushed me to do more research to build a greater perspective. Early effort on this front helped me gain clarity on what I’d write in my essays and how I’d position my candidature.
Essay Assistance and Storytelling: This formed a large chunk of the work. Rajdeep helps avoid early pitfalls and mistakes every candidate makes. Really plays the devil’s advocate to understand the how and why of each story and will continuously give inputs on how to improve. Once you start writing Rajdeep will do 50 iterations on your essays if you ask him to (I did a total of 47 across my 3 schools) but is also honest in quickly telling you if it’s not needed / if you’re going in circles.
Interview Preparation: Rajdeep gave a great introduction to the interview and has a detailed list of questions that formed the foundation and ensured a structured preparation. He connected me with past candidates to understand interviewers better. Later, mock interviews helped me in improving softer elements such as speaking style, clarity and speed. He focuses on smaller elements that really add value in the last few days.
Availability: Generally available throughout the week. Always responsive on WhatsApp. Can get a one-to-one call with half a day’s notice.
In closing, I believe that Rajdeep’s greatest strength lies in his ability to look at a candidate and see clearly what needs to be done and then doubling down on a granular plan to execute. I found his ability to ensure a cadence of weekly progress the greatest strength that worked in my favor. He is without a doubt the greatest asset that any candidate applying for top b-schools can ask for.
I spent a lot of time evaluating multiple MBA consultants globally before zoning in on Rajdeep. Rajdeep’s unique ability to connect with my background and offer nuanced insights into how to think through my story as well as life goals were commendable.
Rajdeep not only ensured that my essays shine at the surface but also went one level deeper pushing me to think & identify my own blind spots logically. When it came to interviews, I remember how proactively Rajdeep helped me think through the various aspects of interview storytelling. He was also super helpful in leveraging his own network of B-school students to help me engage with alumni of various schools to prepare for interviews better.
Lastly, Rajdeep was that constant source of encouragement & positivity that one needs during such times. I have had a five-star experience with Rajdeep & his team and would strongly recommend him to anyone considering applying to business schools.
Rajdeep has tremendous experience in M7 b-school applications, and it was highly evident during our resume review and interview prep sessions. Rajdeep helped me make a strong resume that showcased my work experience.Reviewing my mock TBD performance, Rajdeep not only highlighted my points of improvement but also accentuated my strong areas. His advice helped me play to my strengths, and overcome the weaknesses via which I was able to secure admission to my top choice b-school with scholarship. Rajdeep has great school specific insights, and I’d recommend him to anyone aiming to get into the M7.
Rajdeep’s approach to tailoring the resume for the applications was the first time his skill and experience really impressed me – I would have never thought to present my work experience in such a strategic light. And beyond just the applications, that process really helped me think about my career and future goals from a more strategic perspective. He was very patient and worked through numerous drafts with me till we hit the right output.
Throughout the rest of the application journey, Rajdeep constantly provided top-notch guidance – I really appreciated his frameworks for the essays which enabled me to highlight my best accomplishments, qualities, experiences in a succinct and persuasive manner. His sharp insights on the key nuances for the different schools were also really helpful in picking the right examples for the essays and striking the right tone in interview preparation.
Even though I was in a different timezone, and the entire Covid year was ridiculously uncertain and difficult for everybody, Rajdeep was available at all hours to look through my drafts, give feedback, get on calls for interview prep etc. He also went above and beyond to connect me with other peers at my target schools to understand more about their experience – all of which really helped me in putting my best self forward!
Harvard and Wharton alumni from manufacturing and CPG backgrounds referred me to Rajdeep. I joined him as he was confident of my chances at the top schools.
Rajdeep really changed the way I looked at and thought about my work/profile, and elevated the quality of content on my resume. We then worked on my story. It was a very structured approach to shaping my past, present and future in a way that truly represented my story, emotions and achievements. The best part about working with Rajdeep was the attention to detail and cogency that he brought to my essays. I received patient, personal guidance at every stage of my application
For the interviews, I have never felt more ready than I did with the way Rajdeep prepared me. From the variety in relevant questions for a person from my background to helping me reach out to alumni and fellow applicants- it was extremely well-timed and productive.
I gained admission to Harvard, Stanford and Wharton with scholarships and aid at all three! I have referred many of my friends to Rajdeep and they have all attended M7 schools.
Working with Rajdeep is a no-brainer. He’s the best admissions consultant out there who is approachable, dependable and results-oriented. From the first discussion, his value-add to the process was crystal clear.
Firstly, Rajdeep offers a customized and comprehensive strategy that helps you manage every step of the process – from school selection, overall pitch, resume writing, interview prep, etc. He sets clear deadlines which is helpful in managing the long process.
Secondly, Rajdpeep is a thought-partner throughout the process. He pushes you to go beyond the surface and connect the dots of your personal, professional, academic experiences into a coherent narrative. Rajdeep also doesn’t believe in “counting drafts” – he’ll keep working with you on an essay till it captures your narrative – even if that’s 5+ drafts down the road.
Lastly, Rajdeep is extremely accommodating and supportive. Given my working hours, he was happy to connect on weekends to guide me through the process which was critical. He’s also happy to connect members of his network to help with interview prep (which was crucial for interviews like the Wharton TBD). I gained admission to Wharton, Kellogg and INSEAD and would definitely recommend Rajdeep.
I was introduced to the Admission Gateway team by a friend who was admitted to John Hopkins University. There was a prompt reply to the first email itself, and they got in touch with me. They had several rounds of calls with me to understand my background and suggest the best schools to help me make a career in public policy. This was quite detailed and I think was the base for all that we did later, from re-working the CV to writing a compelling SOP. I learned patience and perseverance by working with Mudit. He never settles down for anything less than the best. Mudit spent a lot of time improving my CV and SOP through multiple iterations. His all-time availability and attention to details was a big-plus. Since he had a strong understanding of the equity markets, he helped me craft my CV in the best way for my work as a capital market researcher. I had experience also as an insurance products analyst and a commentator on agriculture and food policy. I was confused about how to bring out all my work in 2-pages. Mudit helped me figure this out by breaking my CV into three parts and bringing the most impactful work on the top of the CV. Every point I mention under each head in it he said should translate into what impact it left on the end farmer/investor and how it changed livelihoods. It was not an easy thing to do. When I started, I didn’t even imagine that I could complete the CV as Mudit wanted, but slowly over a period of several weeks the CV took shape. Mudit had long conversations with me to bring out the impact part in the form of numbers in my CV. Every time I had a call with Mudit, I had to go back in memory to recollect my travel, my work, my awards, my journal publications, my public address, and not a single thing was missed and it was all concised and put into 2 pages. I would not be exaggerating if I said my admission to the top three Universities – JHU ($$$), Duke ($$$) and Georgetown University ($$$) in the US and two in Canada (also with scholarship) are thanks to Mudit. After the CV, it was the SOPs where Mudit helped out. He helped me figure out a core idea and an impressive story to say from my field visits in India. I wrote a long story for this, and connected it with my ambitions and choice of school. Mudit tightened the essay and highlighted the right things. Every school had a somewhat different question for SOP, and all the time, Mudit helped. One thing I need to say, Mudit or be Nisha, they don’t write your CV or SOP, they help you write. They tell you how to collect your thoughts and how to write them out in a convincing manner. This is very important as, one, you learn in the process and also later at the interview stage, the interviewer doesn’t see a mis-match in the language you used in the CV/SOP and how you speak. When I started the process of hunting for a school to make a career in the US, I was unsure of how to go about it. But thanks to my friend, who introduced me to Admissions Gateway. The time and money I invested with them is completely worth it. Great job, team Admissions Gateway.
I had a wonderful experience working with Mudit, who helped me with my applications for MS in Computer Science/Data Science programs this past year. I was referred to Admissions Gateway by a Darden School of Business admit, who spoke very highly of his experience working with them.
While I had a few years of relevant work experience in the field, I was lacking in prior academic experience, which usually is a critical factor in decisions taken by admission committees. Through multiple iterations, Mudit helped groom my resume and statement of purpose in a way that highlighted my strengths and put me in the best position to succeed. I was extremely pleased by the fact that this process was highly collaborative- Mudit was open to suggestions and gave my opinions due consideration during our discussions.
The biggest takeaways from my experience working with Mudit was that he was easily approachable and readily available whenever I required assistance, be it about my application materials or a question about a university’s admission portal. Moreover, while providing advice, Mudit would substantiate it with a clear line of reasoning, giving the perspective of the admissions committee by leaning on his experience working as an admissions reader.
Despite an uncertain year for university admissions due to COVID, I was confident with my applications and ultimately gained admission to a university I considered to be out of my reach. I have no doubt that this was largely down to Mudit’s suggestions and advice and would not hesitate in recommending him to others.
Working with Rajdeep was a great experience! He imbibed a certain way of thinking critically to bring out the best in your profile which not only helped in the MBA application process but is something I’ll be using for years to come when I’m writing cover letters and resumes.
He started by critiquing my essays from last year, helping me realize critical gaps and then working with me on potentially addressing those gaps. With the gaps identified, when we got to work, his approach for each aspect of the application was phenomenal. Be it ensuring that each word on your resume had strategic significance (instead of sounding operational “I did this, I did that…etc.) to pushing me to think about what my goal in life is for my essays (and not just a post-MBA role), Rajdeep’s ability to push me to perfection was the biggest factor for my successful re-application.
Moreover, his in-depth understanding of each school helped me navigate the nuances of “what works where” and taught me how to balance personal stories vs. school research for each school effectively. It was complemented by robust frameworks which would serve as a starting point to lay the groundwork for my essays and then build a robust, cohesive story which connected the dots.
He also helped me with interviews across schools. The mock TBD helped me understand group dynamics and address my own pain points so that I could shine in my TBD without coming off as arrogant or dominating. Apart from the Wharton TBD, I had 2 alumni-based interviews with other M7 schools. AG’s network gave me great context into my interviewer’s past questions and patterns so that I felt prepared for my interviews and resulted in curveball-free, smooth interviews.
When I started this process, I wouldn’t say I was too optimistic—I had an ORM profile with an average GMAT score for my cohort. To top that, I was dinged from Wharton last year and this year was more competitive due to deferred candidates. I like to believe that I overcame insurmountable odds to clear Wharton this year and Rajdeep deserves credit for that. It was a great experience and I can’t recommend him enough to anyone. 11/10 NPS, for sure!
Mudit is an excellent Consultant. He helped me and my references through my LOR process for an MBA program. His insights really helped us tackle difficult questions like “what are the candidate’s weaknesses” in a well-thought-out manner. He also gave unlimited tips and feedback on how to impress the college in the MBA admissions interview. His insights and feedback were imperative to my success.
I’m glad to share I received an admit from the university he helped me with.
Unlike others he is not obsessed with money, instead, he cares about his students and their growth.
I felt like he was personally invested in my journey. I have worked with many other consultants but Mudit stands out.
I highly recommend his services.
Many colleagues working in development consulting had worked with Rajdeep and they referred me to him.
The biggest takeaway for me from the process was learning the art of communicating and writing good essays. Rajdeep had a very high bar of quality for essays and pushed me hard to persevere till I met that bar. He is straightforward and will keep making you iterate even after multiple iterations if the essay is still sub-optimal. Looking back, he pushed me to dig deep, put in the extra efforts and write essays which truly made a difference in my application process.
Being a consultant myself, I understand the fine line between supporting the client and making him dependent on you, and Rajdeep, with his soft and hard touches, really played this role well. I gained admission to Kellogg and Wharton with a scholarship.
I had a remarkable experience. I had applied to 4 M7 schools in R1, and received interviews from none. I applied to 4 schools in R2, and got interviews from all, 2 admits and 2 waitlists. When I look back to my R1 applications and essays – the difference is stark!
What was most amazing was that I approached Rajdeep late, and only had over a month to complete four applications. He helped me anchor the process, focus on what’s essential, and submit high-quality apps, including a completely revamped resume, goals, and essays. I always felt like I was Rajdeep’s only client – that’s how well he knew my stories and circumstances. In fact, I was going through a difficult period on the job front – and he doubled as a counselor on that front too! I couldn’t have asked for more.
I appreciated that there is a ‘method’ to everything, it’s not all up in the air. The initial explanations on how to think through things, accompanied by samples, made all the difference! Clear deadlines were set, to which I was held accountable – to me this was very helpful.
My resume underwent a 180 degree change from R1 to R2, even though I was really talking about the same projects. He helped me quantify impact and structure content well. Goals thinking was difficult for me, and the structured way in which Rajdeep helped me think through this made all the difference. I changed my R2 goals completely (compared with R1), and can now see why R2 worked.
Essay assistance was incredible! I think after writing my stories with Rajdeep, I started perceiving my own achievements differently. He helped brainstorm ideas, and gave clear, decisive guidance on what to pursue and why. Rajdeep’s questioning and cross-questioning helped me dive deeper into my stories and capture my work in a way that I don’t think of on a daily basis, and therefore wouldn’t have been able to bring out on my own.
On access and availability, I would rate my experience a 6/5. Rajdeep helped me with essays on the day of submission and made sure I wasn’t obsessively changing content in a self-destructive way. I never faced challenges with scheduling or availability, even at short notice.
Overall I enjoyed working with Rajdeep, am grateful for all the help, and will always be a strong, vocal advocate (not that it is needed).
Rajdeep is an exceptional counselor who invests in his clients and is there for them through every step of the process—from crafting your ‘story’ to helping push out a post-interview reflection in 24 hours. Rajdeep’s strategic approach, his clear and direct feedback, and his constant encouragement to dig deep and highlight the values behind my decisions were instrumental in helping me get into my dream school—HBS!
Having worked in consulting, I wanted a counselor who could engage deeply in brainstorming upfront. Rajdeep spent a significant amount of time discussing my ‘story’ and the pros and cons of positioning my experiences in different ways. He pushed me to think deeply about my experiences, how they had impacted others, and to identify the values that had led me to choose those experiences. Building upon this, he helped me layout post-MBA goals that were ambitious but also clear and realistic based on my journey. This upfront investment ensured a clear, consistent narrative and deep authenticity throughout all application materials.
Rajdeep is hands-down one of the best resume crafters in the business. Going beyond standard STAR frameworks, he helped me elevate my resume from a collection of disparate experiences into a coherent narrative that would let someone grasp my story and most impactful experiences even in a 20-sec review.
He also provided comprehensive support on essays. For e.g., for the notoriously open HBS essay prompt, he outlined different approaches that we could take, talked through the pros and cons of each, and helped me decide the one that would fit my story best. He then worked with me on each example to bring out not just the accomplishments but the personal values and choices that underpinned those. He is relentless when it comes to quality—we went through 8 iterations of a single sentence in my essay until he was satisfied that it put across my point perfectly (something that I don’t believe any other consultant can match)!
Finally, for interviews, Rajdeep shared interview reports and conducted multiple mock interviews. He was always available to discuss questions and provide feedback (at all hours!) to make sure that I felt confident going into the interview. His extensive prep work ensured that I was thoroughly prepared for >80% of my questions across all interviews, which allowed me to articulate my responses confidently.
While working with Rajdeep, I always felt that he was as invested in my application journey and outcomes as I was, which fostered a deep sense of trust and allowed me to be truly authentic in my applications. I would highly recommend Rajdeep to anyone who is looking for a true collaborator (and not just a consultant) to support them in their journey!
I was aware of Rajdeep’s high success rates anecdotally as well as on through research (P&Q etc.). That gave me confidence. Initial conversations were very insightful. As compared to other consultants that I spoke to, Rajdeep seemed a lot more knowledgeable and had a refreshing clear, and upfront approach.
I had a great experience working with Rajdeep. I would wholeheartedly and 100% recommend him to anyone hoping to get into their dream schools. From the get-go, I could tell that Rajdeep was very knowledgeable about the schools I was applying to. But what I appreciated about his approach was how he was able to customize the support was to my context. I had a non-traditional profile (social impact consulting) and was also starting the application later than usual. However, Rajdeep was very understanding – he compressed the typical timelines and advised me on how best to pace my CV, essays, etc. to ensure I meet the deadlines with the best application possible.
His guidance on resume and goal-setting in the beginning was very valuable because it set the tone for the rest of the process. His keen eye and clear, direct feedback helped me push each part of my application to the highest quality. While drafting and iterating on my essays, I would always look forward to our calls. He was quick to pick up on any issues and was structured and clear in explaining his perspective. He would push me to keep streamlining my thoughts and making my goals, essays etc. crisper, which helped me gain confidence in my application.
His understanding of what each school appreciates in an applicant helped me tailor my approach. Meanwhile, he also gave me plenty of space to drive the narrative. He’s also a really great cheerleader, which is an important trait in your consultant because the process can be pretty daunting. Especially when we were inching closer to the deadline, he was always there to reassure me. If you’re one of the applicants who are iterating on essays and the form till the last minute (I was very much that applicant), he’s there to help you till the moment you hit the ‘submit’ button. After my essays, he also helped provide me interview prep resources and did mocks with me. Especially for the Wharton TBD, the broader AG network helped me prep with some of the smartest applicants (a lot of whom are also now part of the Wharton MBA ‘23 class with me).
Working with Rajdeep was a complete game-changer. Even when I was waiting for my results, I was feeling quite hopeful about getting into at least one of the 3 dream schools that I applied to. That is odd for me, because I’m usually a cynic. This was a direct result of Rajdeep pushing me to not be afraid to even overhaul an essay just to ensure that I’m reflecting the best version of myself to the schools.
I had heard very good things about Rajdeep and joined because I felt confident that I would get the right guidance to target an M7 school.
Rajdeep was honest and upfront during the school selection and guided me to include a selection of schools in the M7. He kept track of the timeline and was always available. However, the one thing that helped me most was the structure that Rajdeep provided – right from resume building to goals and essay writing.
My earlier resume was focused on my professional experience but Rajdeep’s inputs brought balance to it. Rajdeep helped me identify and fill the gaps, thus creating a more complete and well-balanced resume.
I was confused about my post-MBA goals when we started this exercise. Breaking down the goals into sections – why is the goal important, why are you in the best place to solve the problem, short term goal and long term goal – gave me a lot of clarity into what I wanted to do and lay a path as to how I would reach it.
The structured essay assistance stood out most for me. For every school, Rajdeep had a call with me to run me through the structure. This gave me a good idea of where to begin. Another thing that stood out was how the structure differed from school to school and the depth of the answers also varied. These unique features gave me a very good sense of what the school expected and helped me mold my essays accordingly. When I started my essays I had a few stories in mind but I wasn’t sure how to express them. In addition to providing a structure, Rajdeep helped me express my story in the best possible way.
During the Wharton group discussion mocks there were several mistakes that we made as a group. However, since I knew the mistakes, I was mindful of avoiding them during the interview. For Harvard, it was impossible to know what questions I would be asked but the rapid fire mock interviews with Rajdeep helped me get acquainted with the format and be prepared for the final interview. Additionally, Rajdeep is a great mentor and friend who was constantly available through the late night panic attacks and last minute edits. His methods are effective because he understands the person behind the applications and helps them bring out the best. I would highly recommend Rajdeep!
I was referred by two Harvard admits and joined Rajdeep because of his depth of experience with healthcare candidates.
I had a great experience working with Rajdeep. It was clear that he genuinely wanted the best for me, and was completely invested in my journey spending as much time and as many iterations as required, which really helped me to put forward the best possible application. I remember that I made some changes to my resume just a few hours before the HBS deadline, and he went through the entire document at short notice to ensure that everything was in order – even catching a couple of mistakes in the process! Rajdeep’s honest and to-the-point feedback and hands-on approach really stands out.
Approach: Honest and direct feedback, hands on approach spending as much time and iterations as required to perfect the application
Resume: Unique approach with high emphasis on STAR format which delivers a strong, impactful resume and also helps to think about and synthesize important events and projects which is invaluable while brainstorming ideas for essays.
Goals: Bespoke, clear guidance which helps to articulate goals in a concise manner – ensuring that it portrays ambition while still being achievable and relevant to past experiences
Essays and storytelling: Really liked the collaborative approach to evaluating story ideas. I struggled with making my essays easy to understand and flow well. Rajdeep helped to draft my essays such that even a layman could easily follow them
Interview prep: The recorded session was super helpful. We also did a couple of mock interviews for each school, and a mock TBD for Wharton which helped to get a sense of what to expect.
Availability: Never had an issue with availability. Rajdeep was always a call/text away even when I needed some help at short notice.
I applied to 4 top-5 schools and got into all of them!
I was very busy with work and knew I required a counselor to help me with the MBA admissions process. I did some research and saw that Rajdeep had amazing reviews so I gave him a call.
A year ago, I would not have dreamed of getting into Booth with a large scholarship. Rajdeep was my backbone during the admissions process and helped me navigate the ups and downs with his straightforward (sometimes even blunt) approach. I spoke to several consultants before deciding on Rajdeep, but what made me trust him as a coach was his honesty. Rajdeep does not sugarcoat things and is direct regarding everything from school choice to essays. His no-nonsense approach helped me take an honest look at myself as a candidate and forced me to introspect regarding my professional goals, which in turn resulted in authentic MBA applications that highlighted my career aspirations.
Rajdeep is relentless when it comes to crafting your story. I come from an unconventional professional background as a quant analyst in a bespoke financial sector, but Rajdeep took the time to understand my unique role and translate my technical job into terms an admissions committee would understand. It took countless iterations of editing my resume to remove industry jargon, but he pushed me to perfect it even when I wanted to give up.
In times of uncertainty, Rajdeep was a great mentor. When I started my admissions process, I was unsure of what I wanted to do post-MBA (I can’t lie, deciding what I wanted to do 10 years down the line was stressful). Rajdeep took the time to schedule several calls with me to understand my personal and professional background. He asked hard questions about my goals and values and helped me realize that I was passionate about gaining fulfillment through service. He encouraged me to connect with school alumni to understand their career paths and then helped me write authentic essays that highlighted who I am as a person, rather than just list my professional accomplishments.
Rajdeep cares deeply about his clients and is truly the expert in his field. I would not have been able to manage my workload while applying to schools if it had not been for his dedication. I highly recommend his services for anyone looking to apply in future admissions cycles!
I heard about Rajdeep from Poets&Quants and then found colleagues at HSW who had worked with him.
He has a very outcome-driven focused approach. The resume approach was robust, it might feel like standardized inputs in the beginning yet the process brings out the best in one’s work eventually. The goal’s thinking was realistic and logic-driven. While Rajdeep would never settle for a goal/story that does not make sense, you’d have to push yourself to bring out your best stories.
We discussed stories and essay content and Rajdeep helped structure, weave the pieces into a theme, and most importantly pushed me to stick to timelines. The interview preparation was best-in-class, with a detailed set of questions and multiple practice rounds.
Rajdeep was always available at agreed timeslots through the process and that helped us execute smoothly. No waiting or last-minute cancellations.
Absolute rockstar and extremely helpful! Yale SOM, LBS, HKS, and Columbia SIPA with $$$
Nisha’s in-depth approach to business makes her stand out in the crowd. Being a second master’s candidate, I was extremely skeptical when I approached her first. However, the structure with which we broke down my professional journey was worth a million bucks! I could have never imagined that in my ~5 years of experience I actually had covered so much ground. Nisha starts the entire process by asking the most valuable question: “Why do you want to pursue XYZ course” and keeps questioning you through the journey so that you are actually in it 100%.
Right from the start, Nisha applied a STAR approach to build my resume and essays. This approach brought a lot of structure and streamlined my not-so-usual profile. Nisha really puts a lot of thought into the different essays and was a major help in coming up with a different story for each essay, allowing me to really represent 100% of my experience to the AdCom. She also helped me prepare for interviews and asked pertinent questions, some of them that were actually asked in the real interview – I was left completely awestruck here! She also asked me questions that were school-specific, which made me realize how in-depth her knowledge is on the various schools – across geography
She was not only an admission consultant in this entire process but an actual career coach giving me brilliant advice on the why, how, what of my story, and my goals. Nisha and the team don’t shy away from giving you feedback which is true, honest and which will actually make you shine out in the crowd.
I highly recommend Nisha and the team to anyone who is looking at giving in their 100% to the application process while getting back 110% from the team, ofcourse results will follow! Their diligence is unparalleled and they will help you achieve everything you set out to achieve from this process.
Three colleagues at HBS had worked with Rajdeep so I was aware of his success rate to the top-5 b-schools.
While I was confident I had the profile to be considered by some of the top schools, I lacked good storytelling skills. It became clear to me how Rajdeep could add value on the very first call where we discussed my resume and he helped outline some errors in the way my resume was presented and instead gave me a framework to present the same points. Rajdeep helped me reflect on my journey and crystallize my thoughts as I embarked on an introspective MBA application process.
His focus on specifics and details helped me clearly articulate my goals which are foundational to all applications. The most pleasant part of the journey was his almost round-the-clock support. There was never a time wherein I had to wait for days to book time for a call. He was readily available. His ability to read essays through the eyes of a person uninitiated with your story is remarkable and Rajdeep comes back with pointed, actionable, and meaningful feedback.
The interview, post-interview support is as critical to applications as the essays. Rajdeep not only gives personal attention but also facilitates mock group discussions to simulate the final interview day. As I look back on the decision to work with Rajdeep for my applications, I know I made absolutely the right choice and it helped me gain admission to Wharton and Kellogg!
Rajdeep had been the counselor for nearly every candidate from a leading healthcare company I worked at. His record spoke for itself. I consulted 10+ of his clients and received an unequivocal endorsement.
2020-21 has been one of the most competitive admissions seasons owing to a high number of deferrals last year. Owing to COVID, I had to endure the unpredictability around GMAT appointments and cancellations. Understandably, I was anxious about the process. Rajdeep broke down the process into manageable components, put rough timelines, discussed logistics, and gave an honest assessment of my candidacy.
Rajdeep brings a deep understanding of the business school process. During school selection, he gave me objective feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of my profiles. While I was unsure about my chances at the top 5 and was keen on adding a couple of T15s, he backed me to aim for the top schools. Where any other consultant would have agreed to play it safe (for themselves and their client) during a pandemic year, Rajdeep made sure that I am aiming at the right bracket.
I started the process with my CV. Rajdeep’s initial feedback pushed me to think broadly, beyond just bare numbers. He made sure that both my start-up and corporate experiences shined in the process and told the intended story. While I was relatively clear on my goals, Rajdeep pushed me to introspect further to identify gaps in my skill sets and helped me crystallize on how to work on bridging those gaps at business school and beyond.
When it came to the essays, he helped me bring clarity of thought and a structure and helped me craft a personal story. He patiently understood every facet of my experiences and what motivated me. Rajdeep has incredibly high standards when it came to essays and this motivated me to push myself to deliver my best. We worked in a structured manner and he was always available whenever required.
The MBA admission process is grueling. Rajdeep was deeply invested in my success. After a difficult R1, he motivated me to do my best in R2, all the while ensuring that I aim for the best possible outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend Rajdeep to anyone who is looking to apply to the top business schools.
I have a background in management consulting and social impact and when I started on my applications, I didn’t know how would I bring together all the different pieces that I felt strongly about. What I liked about working with Rajdeep was the way he forced me to think deeper, self-reflect, or even start afresh and re-examine an idea. This allowed me to introspect and even defend for myself why I wanted to do something and why it really mattered to me, which helped me get greater clarity on my future goals.
Having a structured approach to addressing each section of the application is a plus point as it helps avoid pitfalls and produce high-quality output. As someone who is reticent about tom-tomming my own achievements, I sometimes struggled to objectively evaluate the impact of my work. Rajdeep helped me better articulate my achievements in an impactful manner and get past my inhibitions to provide my work the recognition it deserved.
As we navigated through a multitude of essays such as goals, what matters to you the most and why the process helped me get to know myself much better. These elements came together in helping me craft a successful application and I have secured an admit from Wharton with a scholarship.
After applying to some MBA programs by myself in 2019 and not getting any admit, I decided to seek counsel from a well-seasoned and reputable admissions consultant. I am based in the US and found out about Rajdeep after looking through the recommendations for highly-rated MBA admissions consultants by Poets and Quants. Moreover, I attended an online MBA event where he was a panelist and liked his realism. He did not try to sell his brand to the prospective students at any point. Rather, he focused on breaking down the admissions process into actionable items for the attendees.
For my case, I got the best service for interview preparation and resume re-construction. Rajdeep’s approach to simplifying the process by dividing it into smaller steps and explaining the reasoning behind each of his suggestions is what helped me the most. This year I gained admission to multiple schools with scholarships.
Friends attending Harvard referred me to Rajdeep. I appreciated his straightforward approach throughout the process from laying out expectations of each application, shaping stories to interview preparation.
During resume creation, Rajdeep helped me think of a structured way to represent my experience and highlight key professional and extra-curricular aspects. We spent a good amount of time brainstorming on my goals and how my past experience could link to my aspirations, which translated into well thought out goals.
I received immense clarity by discussing my numerous essay drafts with Rajdeep. His insights on building a story around a theme and identifying relevant experiences helped me strengthen my essays. Lastly, multiple mock interviews were helpful in understanding areas of improvement.
The bottom line is that constant push from Rajdeep in the form of comments to re-work on my essays, to go a level deeper on my goals or to be more articulate in my interviews brought out the best in my applications.
Best consultant ever – Makes application process enjoyable and less stressful | HBS, Booth ($$), Kellogg admit!
I worked with an international consultant in R1 and with Rajdeep (Admission Gateway) in R2 – My experience with Rajdeep was a league apart! Converted HBS, Kellogg, and Booth, and what’s more, I truly enjoyed the application process. There is no one who is better at this than him. His advice was extremely customized to my profile and he was deeply invested in the process. I remember having late-night, early-morning, weekend calls when the deadlines were close or when I had my Kellogg interview with less than 4 days to prepare – Rajdeep was always there. Even when on a holiday, he would instantly reply to my panicky texts (having worked with other consultants with a 2-day lead time, I can vouch that this was a privilege)
Rajdeep pushes you hard to think about your experiences and talk about the things that matter. His feedback is sometimes harsh but to the point, extremely relevant and actionable – and there is nothing more I could thank him for (My R1 consultant would often give me encrypted or generic feedback which would result in a lot of unclarity and lost time)
Rajdeep’s resume-making strategy is unparalleled. While anyone can suggest following a STAR methodology, Rajdeep additionally pushes you hard to think about the core experiences and what makes them important. It no longer stays a series of bullet points but instead conveys a story about you.
Even his support with mock interviews is unbeatable – no capping on a number of interviews, no capping on a number of times you can trouble him with questions! He just does everything he can to help you succeed. Furthermore, he understands the process so well that if one listens to his advice sincerely and implements it, their chances to get admitted will increase several folds
While he started as my consultant, by the end I saw him more as a mentor and a friend. I trusted his advice and he was the first person I messaged after each of my results since I truly believe that I could not have done this without him!
I read about Admissions Gateway on Poets&Quants and then heard about Rajdeep from a colleague at work. He validated my thought process with respect to messaging Rajdeep. A contributing factor was the success stories I heard of. No matter who I spoke to would mention Rajdeep and how if I had to work with an admissions consultant, it had to be him.
I started late in the year with 30-40 days for 4 applications. Rajdeep agreed to help out and set a clear strategy. His advice on managing my recommendation process first as it requires a third party’s time ensured that I was left with things I had control of as deadlines approached.
For the resume, the way Rajdeep used examples to explain to me how to structure a resume point and then gave examples of each level of resume point (okayish, good, great) helped me send a good first cut. Also, his push to do resume discussions to find out big picture details augmented the quality of my CV. The end product truly reflected my work.
He helped me figure out my goals as well. While I always knew Impact investing is something I would want to try, convincing Rajdeep and articulating my story in some ways convinced me about my inclination to work in this space.
For essays, the way Rajdeep would explain styles of writing essays (macro and micro) helped me enhance my approach to essays. For e.g. – for Kellogg leadership, he pushed me to not get into minute details and push myself to think about the impact created through my work. My writing style was detailed but over time, his input made me improve my articulation.
Interview preparation was one of the most useful resources. The list of questions and the webinar recording helped me prep super well for each interview. I would do mocks with Rajdeep and also sometimes send voice notes with my responses and his feedback helped improve my answers. In interviews, 80% of the questions were what we discussed, and I was confident as my preparation was strong.
Rajdeep is always available. Even at short notice. At times, I would reach out to him a day before the interview and he would still patiently help me out. Will always be grateful for all the support.
I heard about Rajdeep from students at Harvard and Admissions Gateway had the strongest and most transparent track record.
Excellent experience overall – Rajdeep increased the bar on my application. The wow moment started with the resume-making session, where I was exposed to a completely different way of thinking in terms of pillars which made my resume naturally impactful and helped me play on the front foot.
As someone who grew up in metro cities and belonged to one of the most competitive applicant pools, I found it hard to think about “my unique story”. However, Rajdeep with his time-tested frameworks and mental models gave me many angles to think from through which I was able to parse out a unique and powerful story and landed an interview with Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and Kellogg!
I don’t think my application would even be 30% of what I ended up submitting – a heartfelt thanks! Even after getting an admit and wanting to apply to another school in Round 2, Rajdeep was always available to do multiple calls and never let the application bar drop. Moreover, the best thing about working with Rajdeep was I always felt as if I was the only client he had so I would give him a 10/10 on availability!
I was referred by friends who had gained admission to Harvard and Wharton. Rajdeep had great word of mouth and impressive results to back it up.
The most important value add that Rajdeep brought to the table was his ability to transform ordinary-looking examples for the essays into flowing stories. The way in which he helps bring out the X factor by crisply communicating all the relevant points while adhering to the word limits for each essay is awe-inspiring!
With the experience of preparing students for M7 schools for the past decade, Rajdeep did a brilliant job at helping me prioritize/prepare for a repository of interview questions (based on the school) that helped pave the path for me to dedicate my time to the right set of questions. Additionally, his nuanced understanding of exactly what the interviewer is looking for helped me prepare the answers in a structured yet interactive manner.
Rajdeep improves essays even when you think they are good. Booth, Kellogg & INSEAD admits!
I am based out of Singapore and reached out to Rajdeep for a conversation. The main reason I chose to work with him was his candid and pragmatic approach. From our very first conversation, Rajdeep put me at ease by structuring the entire process. Despite working in a different time zone, I had no trouble coordinating with him.
The entire approach is well thought out with the output of each step naturally forming a foundation for the next. Starting with the resume, from implementing the STAR format to helping me think multiple levels deeper, Rajdeep was instrumental in helping me understand my own trajectory better and communicate my achievements and impact in a succinct manner. This was important given my niche work experience at a start-up. After finalizing the resume, I could use the bullets towards framing my goals. Rajdeep provides great frameworks and material that help with storytelling. After brainstorming sessions, I was able to craft a coherent story that formed the foundation for my essays.
Being completely new to the process, it took me some time to align with Rajdeep on the content but he was more than accommodating of this and no matter how many iterations I sent across, he would always help me dig deeper and improve my essays. He has an unparalleled grasp on what each school is looking for and he makes sure to help curate the essays accordingly. He never settles and even when the essay is good, he always comes back with insights to make them better. Rajdeep also helped me connect to students and alumni and this was a huge advantage in personalizing my essays.
With each essay I wrote, my story grew stronger and this played a part during the interviews as well. When I started getting invites, Rajdeep provided abundant material to help with both video essays and the final interviews. He also invested time in mock interviews and provided helpful feedback.
I would highly recommend Rajdeep. I gained admits to Kellogg, Booth, and INSEAD with his help.
Endless process made manageable by counseling, quips, and jokes. Booth ($$), Kellogg ($$$), LBS and Stanford+ Wharton (current waitlists)
Who hasn’t heard of Rajdeep in the MBA world! 😛 You must talk to him once to get his perspective. During the profile evaluation, no other consultant had the depth of knowledge that Rajdeep offered and the admissions record speaks for itself.
Rajdeep is the top gun of admissions consulting – his approach is immaculate, highly personalized, and extremely effective. The endless admissions process was made manageable not just by his admissions consulting but also his counseling, quips, and jokes.
Resume making is his USP and will pay royalties throughout my life. From the succinct yet impactful STAR format examples that highlight the best parts of your work experience to the focus on creating a well-rounded CV, Rajdeep ensures that your resume stands out. While everyone quantifies impact, Rajdeep takes it a notch higher by making you dig deep and re-imagine why your actions and experience were important in the context of your organization
Rajdeep then moves on to outlining your goals and “story”. The focus on creating practical goals based on your skills and experience is essential from the perspective of the admissions committee and Rajdeep does an excellent job in making you introspect while ensuring you are glued to realistic, achievable goals
While stats matter, the narrative can make or break an application – and I could think of no better person to assist me in writing compelling essays! By ensuring you don’t use a cookie-cutter approach of fitting into stereotypical narratives, Rajdeep ensures that your original voice shines. We iterated each essay so many times – he ensures structure, great story-telling, succinctness and impact. His experience of working with hundreds of candidates was a treasure trove and added a lot of value to my essays.
From mock TBDs to interviews, the support and encouragement made me feel self-assured. Admissions Gateway also connects you with alums in the schools you interview at, which helps to add color to your interview conversations. I gained admission to London Business School, Chicago Booth (40k), Kellogg (60k) and am waitlisted at Stanford and Wharton.
My colleagues had worked with Rajdeep and gained acceptance to Harvard and Stanford. Rajdeep had a superior track record and strong referrals.
I had a great experience with Rajdeep. He is a very strategic person, has a strong understanding of what the colleges look for, and ensures that candidates’ impactful stories come forward through the different aspects of the application – essay, resume, and LORs.
I was guided through all the critical steps – resume making (~2 weeks iterative process), goal mapping (helped in forming the structure of the essays), the best way to approach recommendations, and finally interview mock preparation. The process and timelines were structured and that helped me balance the hectic work hours of the VC world and the requirements of an MBA process.
Rajdeep kept pushing my thinking and helped me gain some clarity about the so-called “black-box process” of an MBA application. Over time, he has grown to be not just an MBA consultant, but a good friend who continues to remain in touch. Highly recommended for every MBA aspirant.
I had heard great things about Rajdeep – This was a ‘single-sourced procurement’ for me – I had a chat with Rajdeep and we seemed to be aligned on– Schools/Approach/Financial Terms – so it was a quick step.
From our first interaction, I had clarity of how we can make the best use of time, based on general and school-specific requirements. I enjoy working with people who have a good command over process aspects, and in that regard, I found the experience flawless. I had full visibility over timelines, and if there were any delays, they were always at my end, which Rajdeep was more than happy to accommodate
Rajdeep invests a lot of time on the Resume – Selecting the right points and bringing them to the correct and consistent level (Additionally, after 4+ years worth of “CV points”, it is also about getting great advice on what is NOT worth noting in the one-pager). I’m sure his advice on Resume drafting will help me beyond the MBA application.
As might be the case with many applicants, you don’t always have one perfect goal that you are committed to. Even if you instinctively know where you’re headed, the MBA application forces you to do some soul-searching, and crystallize into a story. Rajdeep helped a lot with brainstorming to get to a pragmatic, convincing answer as I was looking at a slightly off-beat trajectory post MBA.
The essay was the one aspect I had no experience with going into the process. The HBS essay prompt can seem too open-ended – and Rajdeep helped brainstorm – what are the ideas worth highlighting, how to make a coherent narrative, and how to edit as needed. For my off-beat career motivations post-MBA, I can totally see how the final version after his dedicated, critical review is vastly more convincing than the first ‘fluffy’ draft I came up with.
As for the interviews, he understood the format/content/style of Kellogg/HBS interviews quite well – Some of the trickier questions he prepared me for in our mock interviews made me feel like the actual interviews were a smooth-sailing ride – with clear answers to share, and the right amount of confidence in my prep
A Stanford MBA referred me to Rajdeep and he had a great track record and experience of working with candidates with development profiles.
Overall, I had a great experience! It took us some time to understand each other’s working style but after that, it was extremely smooth. What stood out to me is the way Rajdeep helped me figure out my goals and craft an entire life story. Essay and storytelling are definitely Rajdeep’s biggest strengths. I could effortlessly tell my stories in the essays. Moreover, he had a structure for approaching each essay and that made the process sharp.
My whole resume was made outcome-oriented. This made it so much more impactful. Also, the sequencing of points to keep them aligned to my goals was kept in mind.
The approach was systematic and planned. From figuring out the goals and schools to LORs and essays, we had rough dates in mind for everything, helping me stay on track.
Also, he was focused on ensuring that everything is perfect- we went through many rounds of edits until every aspect of the application was perfect. I didn’t have to think twice about whether an essay was perfect because I knew Rajdeep wouldn’t give it a go-ahead unless it was.
Interview prep was helpful, and I was able to structure answers and walk into each interview feeling confident.
I gained admission to Kellogg and Wharton and will be attending Wharton.
Rajdeep helped me throughout the admission process. He spent a lot of time helping me figure out my story. He connected me to people who were working in a field that matched my long-term career aspirations – these conversations really helped me refine my story.
The first step in the preparation process was to build my resume. My existing resume read like a job description. Rajdeep introduced me to the STAR format and helped me to think through the impact of my work. We had several iterations that really helped me communicate my career progression in an impactful way.
Since I was new to writing application essays, Rajdeep brainstormed and shared instructive material that helped me understand how to build my story. He encouraged me to apply the star format while writing my essays. When I shared my drafts, he often asked me probing questions, encouraging me to think one level deeper – about the what and why for my actions, the results I achieved, and how they contributed to the overall organization’s goals and business impact. He also encouraged me to think beyond my professional life and focus on my personal stories – my hobbies, passion, and interests in life that gave a more personal touch to my applications.
As I secured interview calls, Rajdeep connected me to current MBA students – this was super useful in understanding the unique aspects of every MBA Program. Apart from helping me choose the right school, it also helped me build a strong story on why I wanted to attend a particular school. These students and alumni also took mock interviews for me that gave me more confidence. Rajdeep took several mock interviews for me, helping me refine the content as well other aspects (confidence, posture, avoiding the use of fillers).
I’d strongly recommend Admissions Gateway – it was a great help for me throughout the admission process.
Nisha was my go to person when I was absolutely clueless about how to apply to the deferred programs. Nisha was completely clear about guiding me right from my GRE test strategy to my interview preparation. I would describe Nisha as being extremely approachable, totally involved with the applicant and an excellent reviewer.
I was pretty late in starting my applications, nonetheless Nisha dedicated proper time to help fast-track my process. Her pointed feedback on everything helped me track the key highlights of where I was going wrong. I worked with her for about a month, where she helped me right from developing my resume, brainstorming on my career goals, developing my essay from scratch and last but not the least, preparing me for the interview.
Nisha was completely honest with her reviews. That was one thing that made the process truly helpful for me. I would also highlight the fact that Nisha helped me revamp my entire Curriculum Vitae format into something I could only have dreamt of making.
Her efficiency in working with the applicant can be clearly highlighted from how she approaches everything with a proper framework in mind (STAR). Her guidance at every step was extremely helpful to my overall application:
1. Resume Building: Nisha helped me develop a proper resume over a period of 3 days, given that I was extremely late in the process. She went over and above the dedicated time to help me curate a proper, completely crisp resume following the STAR format.
2. Career Plan Building: Her candid responses to how my career plan was pretty generic helped me put on my thinking cap to think out of the box. Her ability to steer and guide me on both my short and long term goals, helped me stitch the entire application together.
3. Essay Development:This was the key highlight of Nisha’s help. Her ability to clearly highlight important events was truly remarkable. She even helped me understand the importance of small things that had happened in my life, and how they were crucial and helpful to my essay. A 10/10 to her vision in developing the essays. She piece-by-piece reviewed each component of my essay and brainstormed with me extensively to build a coherent piece.
4. Interview Preparation: Her strategy of taking a lot of mock interviews were truly helpful. She not only took mocks but also gave a detailed feedback after every mock. She brainstormed almost all questions with me that could possibly be asked in the interview. Her research on every college is remarkable !!
Overall Note: Nisha is the best person you could find out there to help you with MBA applications. Her ability to go into detail will always help your application stand out. Nisha is extremely approachable and goes the extra mile to help her applicants (She connected me to alumni of different colleges I was applying to, to help me build perspective of what I was going into.) An overall 10/10 if you’re looking for a consultant to help you get in your dream college. 🙂
I heard positive feedback on Rajdeep from multiple people. I spoke to a number of students to learn about their experience with B-School consultants. Those who worked with US consultants mentioned that it would be quite tough for them to stay regularly in touch with their consultants (e.g., some would respond only on email, some would take days to respond, etc.). In multiple cases, I got varying feedback from different people for the same consultant. For Rajdeep, on the other hand, I got consistently good feedback from everyone I spoke to.
The entire application process was extremely smooth and systematic – the sequence in which we worked on the resume, goals, etc. was very helpful. Rajdeep would always keep a tab on my progress and was available 24×7 to answer any queries. Rajdeep’s experience of working with so many candidates over the years was evident throughout the process, be it the suggestions he gave on the essays or past interview questions. He would always push me to keep improving my essays and resume, how many ever iterations it might take. He would not settle for good and always drove me to give it my best.
I had seen the B-school resumes of quite a few seniors/peers while working on my own CV – there was a stark difference in Rajdeep’s approach and format v/s the other resumes. While my seniors’ resumes mostly brought out the operational aspects of their work, the way Rajdeep helped me craft my resume was far more impactful – it brought out the strategic importance of my work and pushed me to think beyond the operational aspects of my job.
Rajdeep was very transparent throughout the essay writing process on what will work and what won’t – he really pushed me a lot to deliver a great output. Whenever I thought I had a good essay in place, Rajdeep guided me effectively and gave me pointed suggestions on how I could make it much better. Even the final edits he made helped refine the essays tremendously. I had asked numerous B-school alums/students to review my final essays – all of them loved the essays and could barely find any fault.
Guidance on past interview questions, mock interviews for HBS, and TBD tips/group set-ups for Wharton was very helpful. For HBS, there is scope for providing more practice to candidates and trying to simulate the actual interview scenario.
I applied to Harvard and Wharton and gained admission to both schools!
I spoke to a few admissions consultants a few years back as I was pondering over applying to MFin and that is when I spoke to Nisha, she helped guide navigating the decision with no personal benefit in mind or signing me up. I recall being positively surprised by her approach as compared to other consultants who had no interest in where I applied or landed up and were just interested in signing me up. Over the last few years, she also helped guide extra-curricular decisions with the MBA application in mind. I worked with her over the past ~8 months for my business school applications and appreciated her optimism and confidence when considering working with me. She was comfortable providing constructive feedback on my application and resume. Coming from an over-represented career background, I knew that an outstanding personal essay would be the key component of my applications and given the conversations I had in the past I felt that I could trust Nisha to support my candidacy and provide clear, honest critiques. At the beginning of our cooperation, Nisha spent a significant amount of time understanding my background and helping me look for the unique personality traits and anecdotes that could differentiate myself from other qualified candidates. This self-reflection process has proved helpful in essay brainstorming and writing and was the cornerstone of my entire application. Working with Nisha is truly enjoyable. She is highly efficient and responsive in giving feedbacks to my essay ideas and is always honest when telling me whether or not my ideas would work. I appreciate the open communication we maintained throughout the process, which was critical to our successful collaboration. Resume: I appreciated most how Nisha broke down my roles and responsibilities into compelling stories and pushed me to quantify my impact. Goals definition: This was one of the components of the consulting experience I appreciate most. Nisha and I spent an extremely large number of calls to debate on how I should be presenting my career goals and she reviewed countless versions. Essays: Nisha was incredibly thorough when structuring and editing my essays with 10+ versions of each! She helped structure the plan very early on to ensure that the essays were well customized to the school and even helped structure networking calls! Availability: This is the component in which she made the biggest difference. I lost count of how many times I came to Nisha with one more question or one more thought. Each time he was quick to respond and receptive to my request.
I had applied during the previous application year (2019-20) and worked with a different consultant. It didn’t result in much success, so the next year (2020-21) I tried again working with Rajdeep. I found the experience to be truly worlds-apart. Rajdeep has an intensive understanding of what’s required for each specific application (for all schools differ) and has a unique approach to application strategy and resume that really stood out, for I applied to the same schools with a fresh perspective and got admitted to both HBS (as a re-applicant) and Booth (first-time applicant).
Rajdeep provided an overall game-plan of which schools to target and how to maximize applications and chances of success by leveraging common parts in different applications. His high-level pro-bono assistance on schools not directly covered under the package was immensely school-specific and was incredibly helpful while preparing those applications. By contrast, most consultants simply focus on the schools you chose to work on with them rather than provide guidance for the entire application cycle as a whole to ensure success.
The shape of my resume and essays were completely different after working on them with Rajdeep, who helped create an MBA-focused resume rather than a job-focused resume that we’re used to. His guidance on school-specific research was instrumental in crafting essays unique to both yourself and the school. When facing trouble with research, he connected me to former students at my target schools to boost my research process. It was the same with interview prep – apart from the guidance and mock interviews (which by themselves are incredibly useful), he connected us to fellow applicants going through the same process to maximize the prep.
In short, it was a fantastic experience working with Rajdeep– simply incomparable to other guidance counselors.
Raj is the GOAT//LeBron of Admissions Consultants!!!
I learned of Raj through the P&Q ratings. I was speaking with a few admissions consultants. Raj stood out to me because he seemed as if he had my best interest at heart. Other consultants seemed to be pushing me in one direction or another for reasons that were mostly beneficial to them. With Raj, he was open to my vision, built on my vision, and, ultimately, kept the vision mine vs. his.
I have helped tens of mentees on their resumes. I considered myself a strong resume writer and I think that is true. However, working with Raj, I was able to transform my resume. He helped me think so much broader than I had been. We were able to articulate a story that demonstrated my impact at my firm by highlighting how my work drove corporate goal accomplishments.
Beyond clearly defining and stating my goals, Raj pushed me to understand and answer the ‘why’ behind my short, mid, and long term goals. This was so critical for me throughout the MBA process, especially during the interviews. The essays are like marathons. Raj is there with you every step of the way. He provides frameworks, examples, and helps tailor the essays to what is authentically you. In my opinion, essays can help you differentiate yourself the most and Raj’s expertise and experience crafting unique essays proved invaluable. He also had a game plan for each school’s interview which helped me feel confident and prepared.
I gained admission to Harvard, Stanford and Wharton with scholarships (the only 3 schools I applied to) and couldn’t have been happier.
I was in the market for a no-nonsense admissions consultant who would be honest and direct about my chances for HSW. I was aiming high and wanted someone who was willing to push me. I heard about Admissions Gateway through Poets & Quants (and read those 5-star reviews) and after speaking to other consultants based in Asia and the U.S. found Rajdeep to be the most straightforward, practical, insightful, and STRUCTURED. He was comfortable with my background in a government role and how best to leverage the stories I had to position my application (something that the U.S. based consultants seemed to lack familiarity with).
I attempted HBS without a consultant in Round 1 and struck out. Looking back at the application, I can see what was lacking and how my subsequent applications with Rajdeep were head and shoulders above what I’d submitted to Harvard.
I remember spending about an hour or two a week with Rajdeep leading up to Round 2 deadlines. Every call had a goal – whether it was to talk about a framework for an essay, or to discuss/brainstorm story leads. Rajdeep was on schedule, had an eye on the prize and that helped me structure my time. He was generous with his time and scheduled last minute chats when I felt something had to be refined or discussed. I NEVER figured out how many clients he worked with because it felt like I was the only one!
The process of transforming my resume felt like a mini-MBA. Coming from a public service background, my resume needed A TON of work. Rajdeep helped me understand how an outstanding resume should look like by sharing examples, and explained how to build out each section through frameworks. I liked his “pillars” framework to showcase the breadth of one’s accomplishments, and together we positioned each of my accomplishments as part of a larger mission (often of national consequence – which I had failed to capture without Rajdeep’s intervention). I struggled with quantifying my work but Rajdeep found ways to estimate, project, and articulate the magnitude of my responsibilities.
Rajdeep and I were able to distill 5 – 7 stories that could be used across all of the schools’ prompts, each in a way that felt unique to what the school was asking for. I now understand why MBA essay examples you can download off the internet simply don’t cut it. Rajdeep forced utter clarity and specificity out of every sentence of every essay, so that each had value to the stories and qualities I wanted to showcase. The result was a set of crisp, direct essays that retained my style and answered each question well.
I listened to every second of that interview prep recording (1.5 hours?) and took notes, even before I got a single invitation. Such was the discipline of Admission Gateway’s process. I found the strategies shared to build out good answers were very insightful – especially the “why X school” question, which really needed more depth than I was at times prepared for.
Applied to 3 schools with Rajdeep – Wharton (admitted, no scholarship), Kellogg (full scholarship!!!), Columbia (reject). Rajdeep also helped me with a Stanford GSB application I decided to throw in at the last minute, which I converted into an interview (very proud of that).
Throughout the entire process, Nisha never let me break a sweat, was always approachable and 1000% invested in my success! As a result, I was able to secure admission along with scholarship in all the six programs that I ended up applying to, including University of Chicago, Duke, NYU, Georgetown, etc. I always felt like we were working on a shared vision for my successful future – extending beyond just getting me into a program/university of my choice!
I was very clear that I wanted to work with her because of the valuable time she invested in understanding my unique context and coming up with a customized and detailed plan. As a first time applicant, the entire process was a black box for me and a cause of great anxiety; however, she really helped structure the entire process for me – from selecting courses and schools, GRE and TOEFL prep to essays, recommendation letters and scholarship.
Her key strengths lie in helping the candidate articulate & structure their thoughts on paper, to bring out relevant impact/experiences (absolutely unparalleled skills!); providing candidates access to a wide network of alums/professors from varied schools and with diverse backgrounds; and determining and/or shaping fit by bringing in her unique expertise of having studied in a target school and been on its admission committees.
And, while here the entire process was streamlined and meticulously planned to help me succeed from the very start, the key highlights for me were:
1. Building an effective pitch through my resume: Applying as a fresh graduate with no work experience, my resume was an area of concern for me. Hence, given the customized plan, we addressed that first. Nisha used my resume as the “highlights reels” of my application, effectively bringing out and tying in the most impactful projects, internships and experiences while helping me craft clear and compelling insights. We had targeted sessions on each session of the resume to ensure succinct but insightful communication.
2. Bringing out my best self to life through my essays: Nisha really invested time in getting to know more about me, my context, my impact stories and my aspirations, which ensured that we could have elevated discussions on how to address each essay question. This, to my mind, is quite unique and really inspired confidence. Nisha helped me tailor essays for each school. Given her expertise and command on language, we never had to go through multiple versions – she was highly structured and gave inputs upfront to avoid re-work.
3. Selecting the best “aspiration” schools & programs: Having the experience of applying to similar target schools for her education, studying at UPenn as well as being a part of the admissions committee at top tier programs, Nisha was able to leverage her unique experience to really guide me on program/school selection as well as provide me with a large network of alumni and professors to ask questions and seek guidance. She went above and beyond to provide me with or help me identify details about each program/school, e.g. placement success, campus life, school philosophy, etc.
To summarize, Nisha was instrumental in helping me reach my goals in the very first attempt! I could not have asked for a better mentor and partner to support me through this journey.
After being laid off due to COVID, I decided to pursue an MBA degree from INSEAD. I had exactly one month to work on my MBA application so I didn’t want to waste time trying to figure it out on my own or work with an MBA consultant only to later discover that he was not good.
A friend of mine who got into Kellogg with Rajdeep’s help highly recommended him. After the first call, I understood why. He knows his stuff and will say it like it is, no BS approach. Despite my tricky situation, he decided to work with me where we were discussing multiple times each week on how to showcase my best stories, preparing me for the interviews, etc.
He knew exactly what my school was looking for and he challenged me and helped dig into my professional and extracurricular experience to bring powerful stories and examples that showcase the qualities that my school is looking for.
We started out by working on my CV which acted as a summarized storyboard that we were then reflecting on the essays. Later, prioritized which essays to work on first and then strategically moved examples from one essay to another to ensure each essay is impactful on its own.
With an incredibly challenging timeline, I wasn’t able to get the GMAT score that I wanted and wasn’t certain that I’m going to be accepted. However, with the help of Rajdeep I was accepted and couldn’t be happier!
Even after admission, Rajdeep continues to check up on me and see if he can help with any complications leveraging his connections.
If you have the chance to work with Rajdeep, do it without hesitation, he’s hands down the best.
I reached out to Nisha during a crucial phase in my personal life and wanted clarity in my next career move. I was looking for someone who could understand my personal situation and provide nuanced guidance, tailored to my profile and target schools that would help me maintain my financial independence. I contacted Nisha just a month before my deadlines, so she ensured that the initial call was long and in-detail which gave me a good bird’s-eye view of what to expect in my journey and of course the great performance record. During our engagement, she guided me through every aspect of applications from school selection till the post-interview formalities including US VISA interview. Resume: Nisha worked with me on my resume nearly every day and we did countless iterations of my resume. She helped me include projects that innovatively applied to analytics, on my resume that I would have never included if not for her constant push to dig deeper. The resume structure followed by her is not only unique but also allows the candidate to think about one’s profile holistically and is impact-driven, as it follows the “STAR” format. The long time spent on the resume upfront equipped me with the overview of my profile that became the backbone of my personal statement and overall application. Personal Statement: Going into the process, I had numerous concerns regarding my profile such as academic background misfit and seemingly irrelevant work experience. But Nisha’s deep understanding of admissions process and her conviction about my chances helped me positively portray my concerns as my strengths. A unique quality of Nisha was that she refined each word on the statement until it came out really polished and crisp. Interview prep: Using my resume as a foundation, Nisha practiced with me several times and ensured that I had my 2-minute pitch ready along with answers to various situational and behavioral questions, which actually did appear in the interview. Also, she helped my practice various case and numerical questions specific to this particular program. I would like to highlight how she went beyond the call of duty to ensure that my masters program helps me achieve my larger goal of pursuing a field that I am passionate about while contextualizing my application in my personal constrains. You are in the safest hands when working with her.
I found several positive reviews of Rajdeep’s work on Poets and Quants. In my initial call, I admired his candor. He was comfortable providing constructive feedback on my application and resume. I appreciated his optimism and confidence when considering working with me. As a candidate with an unusual background, I was quickly dismissed as a nonviable candidate by many consultants. I felt that I could trust Rajdeep to support my candidacy and provide clear, honest critiques.
I truly cannot say enough wonderful words about Rajdeep. He was creative when helping to construct my application’s narrative, remarkably candid and also kind when providing feedback, and continuously willing to provide support.
Resume: I appreciated most how Rajdeep broke down my roles and responsibilities into clear, compelling, and distinct assets. He also pushed me to quantify my skill set.
Goals definition: This was one of the components of the consulting experience I appreciate most. Rajdeep and I debated on how I should be presenting my career goals – whether I should focus on impact investing or CSR. While I was heavily leaning towards the broader sector of CSR, Rajdeep compelled me to consider choosing impact investing – because it was better aligned with my career experience, and could create greater long-term impact. I came around to his argument and it was probably one of the best decisions I have made. Not only did the topic strengthen my resume and essays, our conversations helped me better understand the merits of impact investing and it will be the sector I plan to pursue post-MBA!
Essays: Rajdeep was incredibly thorough when structuring and editing my essays. We must have gone through 10+ versions of each one! He ensured that each essay was highly specific to the school – pulling from different components of my background and skillset, and pairing them with unique components of the MBA program.
Availability: This is the component in which he made the biggest difference. I lost count of how many times I came to him with one more question or one more thought. Each time he was quick to respond and receptive to my request. I appreciated this most during round 2, when I was applying to Wharton and HBS. For cost efficiency, Rajdeep encouraged me to just work with him for Wharton. He then sent me examples of HBS essays and brainstormed with me an effective structure for the essay. He had to do NONE of this and it helped me to get in. Truly, I would not be in this position, attending HBS, without Rajdeep’s support and I am so very grateful.
I was working when I sought to fill my applications and hence struggled to manage my time and yet find a quality outcome. It was then, that a colleague who himself is a MBA Duke admit recommended me Admissions Gateway. I blindly went forward with them and must I say I have never regretted my decision.
While calling for inquiry, Ms. Nisha noted my story and had already built a storyline for applications when I called her again for confirmation. Her confidence in my profile and detailed inputs, which even I had failed to take note of, assured me of my decision.
I am highly grateful to Ms. Nisha For – – My CV. I am proud of my CV, which stands out well structured with STAR approach and quantitative results highlighting my skills – My motivation story. While I had idea about my goals and motivation, she helped me weave my story and bring it out on the platter. I came to realize of my contributions and achievements, while I discussed my work with her, which was amazing! – Interview. I was supported in my interview prep through content reading, links, model questions, and mock interviews. Initially, I had hiccups and was not able to bring my story in my answers but Ms. Nisha with patience guided me through and I became well versed.
Final Note I highly recommended to choose Admissions Gateway than being disappointed elsewhere like I initially was. They are highly professional and yet associate with a personal touch. Never did I have the need to remind Ms. Nisha for inputs, she was always particular about it. Also, I appreciate her stand in what she believes is the best for the candidate.
Choose them and you will never regret ! I am carrying with me the things I learned along the way, to help me with my Career at management school.
Hands-down the Best in the Business
Nisha adopted the most comprehensive approach towards the consulting process. As a final year undergraduate, without significant experience, I had insurmountable odds to overcome. Nisha’s kind and considerate approach, expertise in storytelling and understanding of my profile – and of the softer traits I exhibited during the process is admirable.
A segment-wise breakdown:
School Selection: Despite few schools offering the program, AG helped me identify, target and most importantly – prioritise during the application process. The subtle nudge towards two schools, the ones I converted, is akin to fortunetelling!
Essay/Application/Story: The most anxious fun I have had in my collegiate life was articulating my career plans and goals and conveying it effectively to the admissions committee. I cannot thank Nisha enough for helping me with crafting the perfect story and for her impeccable knowledge of niche industries like VC. The dollop of occasional humor is a big plus for nervous candidates like me 🙂
Interview Prep: This needs huge amount of work – more so for an undergraduate student who has not given 5 interviews in his entire lifetime. Nisha helped me anticipate the questions, prepare detailed responses – and most surprisingly, in a perceptive fashion, told me what some of my answers to questions on personal traits should be based on her 100% accurate analysis. Kudos on that!
Professionalism: With applications due in first-week April, I started working with Nisha in mid-February (too freaking late) – despite that, she helped me meet the impossible deadlines with the utmost ease. Even for trivial issues, her quick turnaround and considerate approach is highly appreciable.
I highly recommend working with Nisha and the team at AdmissionsGateway for a successful admission – the best investment you would make.
