I graduated from the Stanford GSB with an MBA and a Public Management Program certification in health policy. At the GSB, I was co-president of the Healthcare Club and co-chair of the Healthcare Conference, and I established a GSB course on health care innovation that is still being taught today. I also served as a Board Fellow and an Outdoor Adventure Leader. As an undergraduate at Brown University, I double majored in economics and international relations. Since graduating, I have volunteered as an alumni admissions interviewer for Brown.
My passion is improving people’s lives. I have more than 15 years of go-to-market strategy and product management experience that spans Genentech, Clif Bar, and several health tech start-ups. I helped found the Pacific Free Clinic that later became part of Stanford Medical School. I serve on strategic planning and DEI committees in our school district and am a former board member of a well-known independent school in San Francisco.
Business school had a major impact on me, both professionally and personally. I especially enjoy working with people who aspire to change people’s lives through their career and are targeting top MBA programs. My hope is to make business school just as impactful for you as it was for me, and to help you achieve your professional goals.

I highly recommend working with mbaMission and with Christine specifically. Christine made one of the most stressful processes of my life feel manageable. She is incredibly detail-oriented and responsive, keeping track of every requirement across five applications while always making time for my questions. More than logistics, she pushed me to dig deeper into my own story, asking the hard questions that made my application feel cohesive and authentically mine. I’m heading to my top choice, and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without her.
I had an outstanding experience with mbaMission and highly recommend their services to anyone applying to business school. Working with Christine Patel was a game changer for my application journey. She was diligent, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. Her guidance pushed me to think more deeply, write more clearly, and present the strongest possible version of myself.
One of the biggest strengths of mbaMission is the structured roadmap it provides from the very beginning. The process is not just about writing essays. It starts with deep introspection. Before even touching applications, I was guided through exercises that helped me clearly identify my strengths, weaknesses, and the key experiences that define my story. That foundation made everything that followed, including essays, short answers, and interviews, far more cohesive and authentic.
Christine did not just edit essays. She helped me find and articulate my voice. I came into the process knowing I wanted to pivot from healthcare into consulting, but I struggled to clearly communicate why. Through our work together, I was able to build a compelling and logical narrative that tied my past experiences to my future goals. The process was highly iterative, and with each round of feedback, I could see clear improvement in both my writing and clarity of thought. By the time I reached interviews, I felt extremely well prepared and confident.
The OnTrack modules were also incredibly valuable. They helped me understand how to approach different schools, tailor my messaging, and learn each program’s culture and strengths. Beyond admissions, Christine also provided strategic guidance on scholarships, which played a major role in my results.
With her support, I received admission offers from UNC Kenan-Flagler, Texas McCombs, Michigan Ross, and UVA Darden, all with scholarship offers. I was also able to successfully negotiate increased funding using the insights she provided. I will be attending Michigan Ross, and I genuinely believe that this outcome would not have been possible without Christine and mbaMission.
For anyone interested in healthcare, or really any field, I strongly recommend Christine. Her ability to bring out your story, combined with her attention to detail, enthusiasm, and commitment to your success, makes her an exceptional consultant.
As someone from a healthcare background, I immediately resonated with Christine during my free consultation and appreciated her willingness to support my applications even though I couldn’t afford a full package. In the limited hours we worked together, she helped me navigate many of the unspoken rules of MBA admissions—something that made a huge difference coming from a field that doesn’t always have the same guidance around full-time MBA programs.
I was fortunate to receive an R1 acceptance to HBS, but Christine’s real impact was helping me see the potential in my story that I hadn’t fully recognized myself. At the time, I was debating whether to apply R1, R2, or even wait another year. Her guidance helped me clarify my narrative and present my experiences in a much stronger and more authentic way.
What stood out most was her generosity. She went above and beyond the time I had booked and offered thoughtful guidance in ways I didn’t expect. I’m incredibly grateful for her insight and encouragement, and I’d highly recommend Christine to anyone—especially those from non-traditional backgrounds—navigating the MBA admissions process.
I reached out to Christine in mid-to-late August after another consultant had told me I was a “very low potential candidate.” Speaking with Christine completely changed the trajectory of my application journey. She was exceptionally professional, had clearly read all of the materials I sent in advance, and asked thoughtful, probing questions about my motivation and personal story. She helped me see how the pieces of my background fit together in a compelling way.
Although I wasn’t able to afford her full services, her advice during the free consultation was incredibly helpful, particularly on the GMAT and essays. Most importantly, though, Christine gave me the confidence to believe that I could actually get in and should go for it.
Six months later, I was admitted to Stanford GSB.
I worked with Christine Patel through mbaMission for my entire MBA application process, from initial brainstorming to essays, interviews, and final decision-making. From the very beginning, Christine took the time to get to know me on a deep level, including my background, motivations, and long-term goals, and used that understanding to help me present a clear, authentic story across each application.
What stood out most about Christine was her balance of realism and encouragement. She was honest and direct in her feedback but always constructive. She also pushed me to think beyond my initial school list and consider programs I had not originally planned to apply to, one of which I ultimately ended up attending.
Christine was extremely responsive, even during the busiest parts of the season and holidays. No matter how packed her schedule was, she always made time for my questions or last-minute edits. I never felt like just another client. She made me feel prioritized and consistently kept me on track with clear timelines and accountability.
Her ability to connect dots across my professional, academic, and personal experiences was another key strength. She helped me uncover themes I had not recognized myself, and she guided me to express them in a way that felt authentic. That authenticity was something she emphasized throughout the process, and I believe it made a real difference in my results.
With Christine’s support, I received offers from Michigan Ross, Duke Fuqua, and Chicago Booth, all with scholarship awards. I would strongly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a consultant who is experienced, strategic, grounded, empathetic, and fully invested in their success.
Christine was incredible throughout my entire MBA admissions process. From our first meeting, she provided great guidance on which schools I may want to consider given my interest in healthcare and what I should be looking at as I thought through my options (without being pushy). As we got into essays and completing the applications, Christine always quickly turned around edits, comments, and answers to my questions (within 1-2 days) and had clear feedback and answers that I could implement to improve my application, making it much easier to make it through what can be a very stressful process. As we did mock interviews, Christine encouraged me to be myself and remain authentic while still being polished and interviewing well. Christine cheered me on throughout the process and her support was instrumental in my ultimate acceptance at four schools (Kellogg, Ross, Kenan-Flagler UNC, Anderson UCLA) including full ride and half-tuition scholarships Kenan-Flagler UNC and Ross, respectively.
Working with Christine was one of my best decisions during my R2 MBA application journey. From the moment we started working together in November, she became so much more than just an advisor. She was a coach, a thought partner, and a source of calm and encouragement that helped me push through tight deadlines with confidence. Christine’s sincere and honest feedback helped me discover dimensions of my story I hadn’t seen in myself. She had a great ability to connect dots I hadn’t thought to link, often revealing deeper themes that made my essays come alive. She also personally invested in my success in a way that went far beyond what I expected. Whether it was turning around drafts in record time (including over the Christmas holidays!) or jumping on calls to help me find clarity under pressure, she always showed up with empathy, focus, and invaluable insights on the admission process. Her dedication was unwavering, and in moments when I was running on fumes, she brought the energy I needed to keep going. What makes her an absolute rockstar is how deeply she cares. Throughout the months we worked together, she believed in me and always encouraged me to stay authentic, pushed me to dig deeper, and always made sure my voice remained at the center of everything I submitted. I began the application process without the intention of hiring a consultant, but looking back, Christine’s guidance was invaluable and definitely played a key role in my admission into my top schools: HBS, GSB, and Wharton. If you’re considering working with her, don’t hesitate. Christine isn’t just a great consultant, she’s a game-changer. I can say with complete confidence: she’s the real deal.
I contacted mbaMission relatively close to my round 1 application deadlines based on a suggestion from one of my recommenders. I was seeking someone to review my resume and essay drafts on an hourly basis and selected Christine due to her strong healthcare experience and Stanford MBA. Working with Christine was the best decision I made during my application process. She put immense effort into understanding my background and goals, was highly responsive even while I was traveling internationally, and cared deeply about my success. Christine taught me how to translate my specialized technical experience into a compelling application story. Each round of feedback helped me reflect more deeply on my accomplishments and purpose. She is a perfectionist with meticulous attention to detail. I was ultimately admitted to multiple M7 schools (including one from HSW) while receiving several significant scholarship offers.
