Jenifer was an excellent coach for Wharton and was a key part of getting an admit. She helped me understand the perspective of the admissions committee and was vital in getting the best possible version of my application. Coming from a non-traditional background, she was also particularly helpful for ensuring my accomplishments were clearly communicated to the target audience. Highly recommend!
If you’re probably like me you’re reading this right now to make sure that your hard earned money won’t be put to waste. I’m in finance so
I’ve had a poor experience before with another consultant after I paid my deposit they outsourced all the work and it was extremely impersonal and overall poor quality. On the other hand, Jenifer is amazing. She is always there from step 1 (thinking of business school) to step 100 (following up after you started your class). She views this more than just a job and really cares about getting to know you.
There will be times when you’re preparing your MBA application and it may feel daunting but Jenifer will be there to help guide you. Overall A+, don’t hesitate but I’m sure after your first call with her you’ll know shes the one.
I couldn’t have asked for a better coach in Jenny. We worked together for about 6 months. With her help, I landed 3 admits (NYU, Wharton, Sloan) and also a full Consortium scholarship. She helped me craft my story and pushed me to demonstrate where I excelled. Like others have said, she knows the ins and outs of what the programs are looking for.
As an added bonus, Jenny was kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. During one session, I logged on and was stressed about other things going on with work/life. She immediatley sensed that the session would be more productive if we re-scheduled. I appreciate her patience, flexibility and kindness.
I could not have asked for a better consultant than Jen. Bottom line upfront: she took me from a waitlisted applicant to someone on a 50,000 scholarship. In a short time listening to my story, she helped me articulate a core theme for my application, identified specific aspects of my extra curriculars to highlight, and gave me honest constructive criticism and praise throughout the application process. I strongly recommend her to anyone considering it. My investment paid out 20 fold.
I worked with Jenifer on my applications for 2 schools.
She’s a world-class coach, deeply knowleadgable about the ins and outs of the MBA application process.
Engaging with Jenifer is not about ājust applying for an MBAā, but the best way to reflect on who you are, why youāre here, and what good you want to do in the world.
She is a compassionate and caring person, and working with her was transformative in many ways.
At a time when every consultant discouraged me, Jenifer took the bet and was there throughout the process to help me reflect, craft, and sharpen my story.
In the end, I was accepted at H / W ($) and Booth.
If you can, I highly recommend to work with Jenifer during your MBA application journey.
During my MBA application process, I had the absolute pleasure to work with Jenifer who truly surpassed all my expectations as a coach and mentor. Through her guidance, expertise, and unwavering support, I was admitted to HBS, Stanford GSB, and Wharton / Lauder. She has my unequivocal endorsement.
I worked with Jenifer through Fortuna’s comprehensive school packages. Ever since my first conversation with her, she showed complete investment in me and my story as someone from a lower income, diverse, immigrant background. She dedicated a lot of time and energy to get to know ME – understand my journey, character, and aspirations – outside of just the applications, which made me feel like I always had a trusted friend and supporter in my corner throughout the process.
Once we had established a strong foundation, Jenifer amazed me yet again with her incredible talent for storytelling and coaching. She spent countless hours between R1 and R2 helping me reflect on all the pivotal moments and meaningful experiences in my life. Given her extensive coaching experience, Jenifer always knew the exact probing questions to ask to get me to reflect further and bring out truly authentic stories and ultimately helped me craft essays I was proud to submit. Her comments were always timely, thorough, and thoughtful, and made a meaningful difference in my writing process.
Jenifer is truly a one-of-a-kind coach, and her expertise, passion and dedication are unparalleled. I will always 100% recommend her to anyone going through the process.
Jenifer is a spectacular coach, a true gem! Her guidance throughout my MBA application process was invaluable. With her seasoned expertise, she transformed a complex task into a smooth, manageable journey. She diligently helped refine my essays, highlighting my strengths and experiences. Her insightful advice was instrumental in my acceptance into UC Berkeley Haas. My success is undoubtedly intertwined with her dedicated mentorship. For anyone seeking a committed, knowledgeable, and inspirational guide, I highly recommend Jenifer. She doesn’t just coach – she empowers!
I had a very disappointing prior MBA admissions round where I was rejected without interview from 5 schools. My motivation was at an all time low. However, in 2022, I decided to give another attempt at GRE and approached Fortuna Admissions. Despite a not so decent GRE score, Matt from Fortuna gave me immense confidence that I still deserve a place in Top 20 due to my impressive and diverse work experience. I was paired with Jenifer and we instantly connected due to her prior experience working with people from my background. Jenifer and I immediately deep dived into our applications, and I sincerely believe her strongest skill is bringing out my unique perspective. She helped me identify that trait and very skilfully coached me to leverage it in my essays.
Her ability to keep up my confidence throughout was much appreciated and although she denies it, she is indeed my counsellor/ therapist. If you are looking for someone who will go above and beyond (she was up till 2 am once reviewing my essays!) and will be as passionate about your success as you are, Jenifer is your go to person and Fortuna Admissions is the way to go!
I will now be attending Darden in the fall of 2023. Thank you Jenifer for helping me achieve a dream which I believe was nearly next to impossible.
After speaking to several local and international consultants and being discouraged by a few, I was fortunate enough to have connected with Jenifer. When I reached out to Fortuna Admissions, I was very impressed by their approach of letting me have chemistry calls (also known as the free consultation call) where I was able to speak to 2 recommended coaches based on my profile and requirements. Both my chemistry conversations were remarkably positive, but with Jenifer, I connected instantly because of her genuine and warm personality and the fact that she took the time (and even went beyond the scheduled time) to get to know ME and MY expectations, even in our free consultation!
From the very beginning, Jenifer was incredibly insightful, organized, and professional – qualities that I was looking for in my MBA coach. She took the time to get to know me as a person, my history, my goals, and my unique strengths and weaknesses, and then crafted a personalized plan that catered to my needs, including recommendation reviews, essay reviews, and interview preparation.
I received an acceptance with a $20K scholarship from one of my top 2 schools. I truly believe that I could not have achieved this success without her help. Jenifer was instrumental in helping me find and articulate my vision and story, something that I had been struggling with for months. Jenifer was also very flexible with her approach. For example, there were times when I wanted to brainstorm some stories/ideas with her and felt that a call would be a better use of time as opposed to sharing a draft and she patiently agreed. Also, I appreciated the fact that she connected me with another Fortuna coach for the Mock interview since she was from one of my target schools.
There were times in this journey when the nerves got to me but my favorite quality about Jenifer was that throughout the process, she was a constant source of encouragement and support. Conversations with her would instill in me a sense of calm and confidence, which I think was the game changer in my MBA application journey.
Overall, I would highly recommend Jenifer to anyone seeking the perfect combination of an expert guide and a support system in their MBA application journey. She is truly exceptional, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her!
The MBA application journey seemed extremely daunting and overwhelming as I needed help figuring out where to start. I decided to talk to consultants to find someone who deeply understood my journey to help craft a meaningful essay. After talking to a few consultants, I knew within the first 20 minutes of my call with Jenifer that she was the person I wanted to work with, and I told her immediately on the call.
I had many hurdles to overcome and reframe to help piece it all together, and Jenifer helped me focus on the most important aspects to really pull my story together. From the beginning, she helped me narrow down the target schools to perfect my resume. I was extremely satisfied with the final resume, and I continue to use it (with some tweaks) for internship applications. I was able to present my best self to the admissions committee and got accepted to Wharton and CBS. I even got a significant scholarship and fellowship in one program!
Apart from being a great coach, she acted as a great friend/mentor with my best interest at heart when I mentioned concerns about my career path. Jenifer genuinely cares about her client’s success and helps them grow throughout the entire MBA application process. She has left an impact on my life and my career. I look forward to attending Wharton and joining the class of 2025!
After multiple sub-par introductory calls with a few consulting firms, I was warmly greeted by Jenifer on our introductory call (first free consultation). Immediately, her liveliness and sincere attention toward my goals persuaded me to sign up for Fortuna’s 2-school package.
Throughout my working with her, Jenifer and the coaches at Fortuna never forced me to buy additional hours. All hours were used incredibly wisely and I was able to submit multiple applications with immaculate details and serious thoughts. With the consultations, I was able to discover who I was as a person deeply and decided to apply to Wharton, which was not an option I originally considered due to the school’s infamous (and may I say, very wrongly characterized) focus on Finance. I received a final offer from Wharton, and am thrilled to start my chapter at my new alma mater.
Jenifer was my go-to mentor and someone I immediately sought out when I met roadblocks – and every single one of those moments, she had the magic of making sure I believed in myself during the process and guiding me to the right track. I would without a doubt recommend her to any prospective applicants. I don’t exaggerate when I say that I couldn’t have gotten in to Wharton without Jenifer and Cassandra (my coach) – Jenifer’s expertise in many years of MBA admissions was a godsend to me.
I worked with Jenifer Raver from Fortuna Admissions as part of my MBA application journey, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an admissions consultant!
Thanks to Jenifer, I was accepted to 3 out of 4 of my target schools (including H/W) and waitlisted at the GSB.
From the beginning, I knew I wanted someone āin my cornerā to root for me while providing expert guidance throughout the application and interview process. Jenifer was the best coach I could have asked for. As an international student/third-culture kid, I knew I had a unique story to tell, but wasn’t quite sure how to bring this forward in my application. Jenifer saw this from our very first intro call, and we instantly bonded thanks to her experience working abroad and living in Southeast Asia. Over the next few months, Jenifer helped me narrow down my target schools, patiently walked me through each essay/app requirement, and acted as an empathic sounding board as I reflected on experiences that shaped who I was, and where I was hoping to go. This was especially integral as I crafted my narrative on āWhy MBA.ā
Like an expert storyteller, Jenifer spent countless hours combing through my essays and helped me weave a cohesive narrative that connected both past and present, professional and personal. As we transitioned to additional applications, Jenifer shared clarity on what each school was looking for and gave insider knowledge on each schoolās unique culture.
I also appreciated Jeniferās proactivity ā early on, she helped me update my professional resume to be MBA-friendly while helping me shape a comprehensive recommender package (the contents of which ultimately came up in my interview!)
After my applications were submitted, Jenifer hosted a series of mock interviews for each of my schools, culminating in detailed debrief sessions where she played recorded clips and provided feedback on how I could do better. Jenifer was incredibly respectful and encouraged me to be my best authentic self in each interview.
Looking back, I donāt think I wouldāve been able to embark on the time-intensive and highly introspective MBA application process if it werenāt for Jeniferās guidance. Her personable and genuine approach to coaching immediately dispelled any fears I had about the often-daunting process. From hourlong essay workshopping sessions to shorter messages that shared āgood vibesā on interview days, Jeniferās dedication to her clients shines through.
I highly recommend Jenifer to anyone looking for a consultant that will help bring your best self forward to the MBA admissions committee. You will not regret it!
I had such a delightful experience with Jenifer, who helped me build my story end-to-end for my application. From our very first call, I knew that Jenifer was the perfect advisor for me as she helped me build my narrative, bringing out strengths that translated to what my specific school was looking for, particularly since my MBA program of interest had an international twist. Jenifer was so kind, and thoughtful yet so diligent in ensuring that every aspect of my application that I put forward to the admissions office was intentional, which I truly appreciate! Although I made it to the interview and was not admitted to my school of choice, in hindsight, I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without her! I highly recommend Jenifer because she is the epitome of what you would call a mastermind when it comes to building a cohesive, memorable, and impactful MBA application – she is just THAT great! Thank you, Jenifer, for everything!
I worked with Jenifer on my mock interview for HBS (which I ultimately got admitted to) and had a wonderful experience! I also had the pleasure of working with Jenifer at the beginning of my MBA consultant search process and she helped me decide to work with another Fortuna client. Jenifer is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. She is very generous with her time and gives you very honest and candid feedback. She is also excellent at simulating the intense experience that is the HBS interview! Thanks so much, Jenifer
I worked with Jenifer through Fortuna admissions for my MBA applications, mostly focusing on INSEAD. Jenifer had absolutely sold me on her genuine and warm personality the first time I met her through the free consultation call. I decided to purchase the 8-hour package to work with Jenifer or refine my resume and essays and polish my interview skills.
Throughout the process, she continuously encouraged me to be myself and be authentic with the stories I shared in my essays. She patiently reviewed all my drafts and helped me hit some impossible word count limits. Her positive attitude is something I cherish the most throughout this very challenging application process
I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of an MBA admissions consultant.
I had an amazing time working with Jenifer! She was not only a great coach but also a friend throughout the process, which was something that really helped me power through all the requirements.
She was super accommodating, structured, detail-oriented, and very insightful about the process! Early on, I requested if we could have constant catchups (because it was something I thought would help me keep track, being very busy with work) and because of that, we ended up chatting once a week before work! I always looked forward to every conversation because there was always something new to learn from her each week.
Our conversations were also very fun, we would talk about how life was in our respective countries, especially during COVID-19. I would also share stories about what was happening at work, and she would share how things were at her end. It was great! Aside from that, she would also take the time to genuinely listen to all my different questions and potential apprehensions, and would then provide advice and her thoughts afterward.
I also really enjoyed my mock interviews with her! She made me feel very comfortable during these interviews, where I had the chance to lay out all my different thoughts and insights, and this really helped me control my nerves during the actual interviews. Her comments and feedback were also spot on, and I really appreciate all the coaching I got here.
Overall, I had a great time and got admitted to NYU. I couldnāt have asked for a better outcome, and I am very grateful that I got the chance to not only work with Jenifer but also get to know her! I canāt wait to meet up with her (in person) in the next few years whether in Singapore or in the US!
If you are looking for someone who can advise (and mentor) you well – give you concrete and actionable feedback in a timely manner, but at the same time also ensure the process is enjoyable, then I would definitely recommend Jenifer 100%.
While I was applying to European MBA schools, I started looking for the help of consultants as I wanted to polish my essays (I am an international student) and get the proper guidance along the process of applying to the schools. I arranged around four first free calls with different consultants to get the right feel of the person with whom I will be working. By the time I finished a call with Jenifer, I instantly knew that I wanted to work with her. She not only showed her profound experience in guiding students to success but also expressed a warm-hearted and caring personality. During the few hours that we’ve spent on essays, Jenifer provided critical ideas on how to strengthen certain points and pointed out what could be left out. What is more, Jenifer constantly gave encouragement and kept my motivation up, which is important in the tedious application process when you might doubt yourself. Finally, as I had only a limited amount of time before round deadlines, Jenifer was quick to provide updates and feedback. In the end, I received an admit to INSEAD, my dream school, and I highly recommend Jenifer to any applicant. Thank you so much, Jenifer!
After shopping around the different consultants and being told by a few that I didnāt stand a chance I met Jenifer. Our first conversation was incredibly encouraging and warm. These qualities carried on while we worked together.
Jenifer was able to take the swirl of confusion in my head to calmly and expertly work with me to put together great applications.
Working with Jenifer was great as she genuinely cared about me, my journey, and my goals. Our meetings started off candidly, speaking about each otherās lives and we quickly formed a strong working relationship. She had a great balance of directness, passion, and supportiveness – which is exactly what I needed.
Overall, I highly recommend Jenifer! She also supported me in setting up practice interviews with other more aligned specific school interviewers at Fortuna.
From being told I didnāt stand a chance, I got into 2 schools and 1 with a $15k scholarship too!
I worked with Jenifer through Fortuna admissions for my INSEAD application. I was apprehensive of the cost of Fortuna’s consultancy when I was initially scouting for a consultant to work with. However, one free consultation call with Jenifer was all that it took for me to know that I wanted to work with her and her only. I took Fortuna’s 1-school full package
She strives to bring out the best in you throughout the application process and she helps THE REAL YOU truly shine on the application. She patiently worked her magic through all my drafts and helped me hit some impossible word count limits. Despite her claiming several times that she isn’t my therapist, she helped me dig really deep and process my thoughts into an application that I was 100% satisfied with.
Working with Jenifer was such a pleasure and made my MBA application process so much more enjoyable. She took great care in listening to my stories so that I could write up the perfect essays. We had such great rapport that I opened up to her about some parts of my life that I only opened up to my closest friends. She took great care even after the essays were done, making sure that I was well prepped for the interviews. She would check in regularly and send good vibes my way when she knew an interview was coming up. I would strongly recommend Jenifer to whoever is afraid of starting their MBA journey. 10/10 she will support you and give you the full confidence you need! Thank you, Jenifer!
Jenifer came highly recommended to me by a close friend who had worked with her in a previous cycle and earned admission to GSB (along with several other amazing programs). Iām so grateful for that introduction: from my very first phone call with Jenifer, I knew that she cared deeply about getting to know me and helping me tell my story.
Iād decided to work with a consultant relatively late in the admissions process and initially felt stressed about the timeline. I was applying to 3 schools, and I had to retake the GMAT, brief my recommenders, update my resume, write my essays, and fill out applications all in the span of about 10 weeks. Jenifer put me at ease and helped me put together a realistic game plan to tackle all of this. She was incredibly supportive and spent hours helping me craft my personal and professional stories in a way that was authentic and compelling. Her guidance and wisdom were instrumental in helping me put together the best applications possible for all 3 schools.
Thanks to Jenifer, I was admitted to HBS, GSB, and Wharton (with a scholarship!). I cannot recommend Jenifer highly enough to anyone who is looking to apply to an MBA program ā sheās incredible!
I cannot recommend Jennifer enough. I reached out to her pretty late in my application process, but she was ready to dive in immediately! Her intimate understanding of the Wharton/Lauder process really allowed me to fine-tune my personal story to stand out better in the applicant pool. Jennifer’s ability to dig in and ask hard questions of her clients really pays off on the essays, and her support and guidance made the application process super smooth and rewarding for me!
After conducting thorough due diligence of +10 admission consulting firms (basically, I had a 30-min call with those +10 admission consulting firms), I decided to work with Fortuna for two reasons.
Firstly, Fortuna has a lot of experience in this industry. Secondly, contrary to other consulting firms, Fortuna was really trying to understand my need from the initial call vs. other consulting firms were trying to sell me their packages/offers during the first call… I disliked this second approach. My initial call was with Jenifer!
Jenifer was not my direct coach but provided me with her ideas and recommendations during the middle at the end of my admission preparation. It was certainly valuable to benefit from her experience.
I will be joining Stanford GSB next September 2022. I am so happy!
Thanks, Jenifer!
I worked with Jenifer on two schools, and she was patient and made herself accessible throughout the whole process. The application process can be extremely stressful at times and it was a game-changer having Jenifer to guide me throughout it. She provided me with a lot of great advice and insight that was helpful to the other schools that I applied to as well.
At the end of the day, I believe that with her help – I was able to put forth an application that I was extremely happy with.
I had my first consultation call with Jenifer. When I told her about my background, she immediately helped me formulate my story, which had similarities with her own. She also paired me with the perfect coach thereafter. Jenifer continued to work closely with me as my second reviewer. She gave valuable input to my essays and made both me and my coach rethink the strategy and storyline we were going for. She challenged several points, for which I’m grateful as I was able to dig deeper and bring out a solid and well-knit story to support my applications. Jenifer was also very prompt with her responses and always stuck to the promised turnaround time. I appreciate her guidance and support throughout my MBA application journey
I worked with Jenifer on a number of applications. With each one she helped me to understand the uniqueness of that school and how I could build the most competitive application for each one. She helped me dig deeper into my past to uncover the stories and events that would resonate with admissions, events that I would have probably overlooked. All in all, a great guide to have in my corner as I went about this process.
I worked with Jenifer on a 3-school package and cannot say enough positive things about my experience working with her. Despite going through many ups and downs around testing, waitlists, etc. Jenifer kept me at ease every step of the way. She really challenged me and helped me bring the best story out of my life and career in my essays and resume. She was very supportive of me in the programs I chose to focus on and the interview prep she provided was vital in me securing acceptances. Her sage advice and guidance throughout helped me to achieve my goals and to secure a scholarship at one of my top schools. Working with Jenifer was an absolute blessing, she was extremely personable and compassionate while remaining professional and timely with all of our correspondence (despite a near 12-hour time difference between us). If you are looking for a coach, Fortuna is top of the list and has plenty to offer, but Jenifer stands out the most from my experience. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone going through the MBA application process!
I worked with Jenifer on an hourly basis as I had already drafted my essays when I first started working with her.
I was deeply amazed by Jenifer’s work ethic. She used the time very efficiently – she wouldn’t need a lot of time for each draft essay review but she raised lots of good points for me to consider and improve on every time. She also turned around comments promptly. She challenged me to deep dive into the essay prompt and helped me brainstorm powerful personal stories that I could use.
I was very pleased with how much my essays improved after a few revisions. Working with Jenifer has been the best investment for my MBA application. Aside from essay reviews, I also got application and career advice from Jenifer. With her help, I got into LBS (one of my top 3 schools) in round 1.
Jenifer came highly recommended to me by a friend, and in turn, I can fully endorse her services to any future applicants. She helped me in the application process by thoroughly reviewing and providing feedback on my resume, essays and short answer responses through at least a dozen iterations. We also did a mock interview that was incredibly helpful in building my confidence for the real thing. Beyond that, Jenifer genuinely put in the effort to get to know and mentor me through the application process. The value of her time and advice is readily apparent in my application (especially if you compare my first essays to the final ones), and I will happily recommend her services to anyone going through the application process!
I worked with Jenifer to build out my Wharton application. She was very helpful in helping me craft my narrative, encouraging me to think creatively about my options, and was incredibly good at helping me create a differentiated profile for myself. Jenifer went the extra mile for me after I was rejected and helped me build a plan for next year!
I worked with Jenifer throughout the entire INSEAD application process. Jenifer was able to provide a wealth of knowledge alongside bespoke advice to help me achieve an R1 offer. Through our detailed initial consultations, Jenifer was genuinely interested in my life and as such, was able to guide me in crafting my own story, showcasing and balancing both my strengths and weaknesses.
I worked with Jenifer over the course of this past year to apply to dual-degree programs. She was great to work with ā she was detail-oriented in reviewing my materials, and very responsive in making herself available whenever I had a question. She struck a good balance between talking me up so Iād feel confident (especially during interviews) while also telling me the truths that I needed to hear. More than that, she was a wonderful person to have on my team during the application process ā she genuinely cared about me and made sure my story was authentic to me ā which was only possible because she took the time to get to know me. Her mentorship went beyond just my applications. I am grateful for her help and look forward to staying in touch with her.
I worked with Jenifer on my applications to 2 leading schools in the UK and I must say that I was really satisfied with her services. If you are serious about maximizing your chances at any leading business school, then Jenifer is a must-have on your team. Jenifer’s strengths are:
(a) She will push you (and that’s a great thing!): This is by-far her biggest strength. During my applications, Jenifer gave me a lot of advice that felt like more work. She stress-tested each line in each material I gave her, and she never let even the smallest detail go unaddressed. While this means that you will work harder at your application, it also means that the quality of your application will be that much better. I could see that I was able to articulate my story much better because of Jenifer’s constant focus on refining my material to bring out the key message clearly. And it was hard work as well, but Jenifer’s ability to communicate her advice with empathy meant that I was always assured that the extra efforts were worth it.
(b) She will go above and beyond for you: I reached out to Jenifer just a month before the deadline for my target school. It was obviously very tight, but over the next one month, Jenifer ensured a 100% record in turning around materials within 24 hours, even on weekends. I wouldn’t have been able to submit my applications in time. Had it not been for Jenifer’s support, I do not think I would have been able to meet the deadline.
(c) Jenifer is straightforward: Last but not the least, Jenifer will not shy away from pointing out deficiencies in your material. And that’s the sign of someone who cares about your success.
I am glad that I chose Jenifer to help me on my business school journey.
From the first time, we talked I knew I could trust Jenifer. I have only good things to talk about Jenifer while we worked together for many months.
While working with her, I could tell that she cared about my success and my goals. She will build your confidence and lead you to the right path. Even when she is busy, she will make time for you and spend as much time as needed to help you. I feel that a consultant like Jenifer is very hard to find, with her commitment and passion she has put out into helping me achieve my goals.
Many like me during the application will feel stress and anxiety, but just talking with Jenifer has allowed me to turn this stress and anxiety into confidence.
I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a consultant that would commit to helping your goals. I believe working with her was the best choice and I believe I have built a lifelong relationship with her. Thank you so much, Jenifer!
Working with Jenifer has been an amazing journey. I felt the instant connection with her right during our first initial call and I decided to work with her, even though I was still undecided about the consulting companies right before the call. She was more than just a coach, but also a mentor at the same time. She supported me at some of my personal decision and genuinely had my best interest at heart, and would look out for my wellbeing in this somewhat taxing journey of MBA application. I could always trust her to have my back as she would encourage me on my GMAT journey, reassure me during my application process. I felt supported and not so alone in this arduous application journey.
Her turnaround on my essay edits was really fast and she would make sure the little details were captured right down to the last edit, all so under a tight timeline. She is dedicated and positive, always making sure I’m putting in the best version of myself in the application.
Thank you Jenifer for going through this important journey of my life with me.
I worked with Jenifer for my MBA applications and had a great experience. I felt comfortable with Jenifer from the very first free consultation call itself, and knew that I wanted to work with her as my coach. She truly helped me understand that the application doesn’t necessarily have to check every box (I was applying with only 3 years of work experience, lower than the 5-6 year average at the schools) and that highlighting my strengths and truly embracing my values and presenting them well is more important. I enjoyed working with her both on my essays and interviews. I got great constructive feedback from her on my interviews and it really helped me be more confident at my actual interviews. I would strongly recommend working with Fortuna and with Jenifer.
Jenifer is a coach with a heart. My interaction with Jenifer started during my first half-hour consultation with Fortuna. I had no expectations of Fortuna then, and was undecided in signing up for a coach. But within the first few minutes of our call, Jeniferās warm and friendly persona drew me in like quicksand. There was never a mention of business sale. Our conversation was personal and authentic. It was at that point I knew engaging Fortuna was the right move for me.
Even though Jenifer was not a direct coach to my application, she played the role of a pseudo mentor and friend throughout my MBA application journey. She checked up on me every other week to see if I was doing well, giving me support and guidance to navigate through the gruelling 3-month process and life in general. She was genuine in getting to know me as a person person, including my personality type and values, and was tremendously prompt in answering my queries (+my occasional need for emotional support š). I believe that Jeniferās care for people comes from a place with a high level of empathy, which is rare today. Her support is pivotal to me realising the importance of happiness in life, which led to me express this in my writing, and gaining acceptance into my dream M7 school.
If you are looking for a coach who cares for you regardless of your background, has strong credentials and experience ie. Wharton school, and has a genuine heart to see you succeed, look no further – Jenifer is the person for you.
I worked with Jenifer from last May for my b-school applications and she not only helped me get into my top choice school, but she also helped me navigate a very difficult year and ensured I produced the best application that I could put forward. I struggled a lot when I was not able to crack the GMAT and apply in round 1, but her belief and faith in me and my capabilities kept me going, eventually resulting in me getting a 700+ score and an admit. She completely understood my aspirations and goals and even believed in what I wanted to do in my life and that was really important for me as it made working with her so effortless. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t be going to b-school if it weren’t for Jenifer and her guidance. She’s an excellent coach, an amazing mentor and a dear friend now. I would 100% recommend her to anyone applying to the best b-schools in the world.
I was introduced to Jenifer by a friend of mine who had already worked on his MBA application with her and he was very happy with Jenifer as he got admitted into some of the most highly-ranked programs. I must say that Jenifer far exceeded my expectations. I worked with her for almost a year, a period in which she helped me in every aspect of my MBA application journey. After understanding my interests and objectives, Jenifer helped me find the right schools for me and motivated me during my GMAT preparation. Despite I wasnāt yet a client of her, she was constantly helping me and giving me precious suggestions on how to reach my goals. My first GMAT attempt did not go as expected, but she motivated me even more and I took the test again. After my second attempt, we decided what would have been the best school I could have applied to since I did not want to apply to many schools. After this choice, she spent many hours helping me find my best qualities and strength points first, and then with my essays and interviews preparation, no matter whether we had to have our calls at late night hours or over the weekend. Thanks to Jenifer I made it to the interview stage with my top school and I am now waiting to hear the results! I honestly say that I couldnāt have done a better job without her help and I would not hesitate a second in choosing Jenifer again! Thanks Jenifer!!!
I had an amazing experience working with Jenifer! Not only did she help me with my application, like other reviews here said, but she was also a great mentor, and I learned a lot about myself from her during the process! I decided to apply to MBA mid-year last year, quite late, and storytelling/essay writing is definitely one of my weaknesses. MBA application can be an extremely stressful and vulnerable process, but Jenifer was very patient. She learned about me in detail to make sure I can tell the best stories about myself to admissions. It was so easy to connect and open up to her, and from her global experiences, I felt like she really understood my experiences living in different countries and working in a global environment. As an M7 admit, I definitely could not have achieved this without her!
I worked with Jenny on my MBA application this year and she was very professional and helpful in inspiring me and preparing my application package. We communicated frequently to solve the problems during this application process and she acted more like a friend, she guided me and encouraging me to thrive. I got my dream offer and I am more than just grateful to Jenny!
I worked with Jenifer as a Round 2 candidate for the Class of 2023. As a reapplicant, I worked with an Admissions Consultant to identify ways to strengthen my application since I knew how competitive the process would be this year due to the pandemic. That said, I’m grateful to have found Jenifer! I purchased an 8-hour package, and within this brief period, she took the time to get to know me and went above and beyond to offer guidance on my essays, interviews, and overall story. When interacting with her, I felt like I was speaking with a mentor I have known for years.
She was genuinely interested in ensuring that I put forth the best application out there, and I suspect that not all Admissions Consultants put forth this level of care and effort when engaging with their clients. She is truly a gem :).
Working with her made the overall application process feel less stressful as she did a great job of keeping tabs on deadlines, sending me reminders to follow up with her, etc.
With her support, I am delighted to say that I will be attending my dream M7 school – Wharton – this fall. Thank you, Jenifer! Overall, I had a wonderful experience working with Fortuna, from the initial consultation to being paired with Jenifer. I would highly recommend it to anyone who feels that they need support (even as a reapplicant) when applying for an MBA program!
I worked with Jenifer for 6 months applying to 5 different schools. With her help and guidance, I was invited to interview with four of them. All schools are very competitive top MBA programs.
Jenifer is an amazing person and coach. She goes above and beyond in getting to know her clients in order to cater to the best story about them. We built an amazing relationship that I am sure will last for good. She is very genuine in her feedback and guidance which what candidates need the most in preparing their applications.
I consider myself very lucky to have worked with her. You are great Jenny!
TYK!
I was initially hesitant to use a consulting service given the financial commitment, but now as a new M7 admit I can confidently say that it was worth every penny!
I chose Fortuna for hourly services after having an initial consultation that was head and shoulders above the consultation that I had with another firm. I was fortunate to be paired with Jenifer, who was a fantastic mentor and a kindhearted person. She brought out the best in my profile and helped me thread together my unique story in a way that I couldn’t have done entirely on my own. She was also an invaluable support system when those inevitable pre-submission doubts crept in. The application process can be draining, and Jenifer is definitely someone you want in your corner.
Overall, I highly recommend Jenifer, especially for those looking for hourly packages and for help editing essays/preparing for interviews. In sum, she knows her stuff, will help make your application shine and is just a great person who truly wants to see her clients succeed – thanks, Jenifer!
I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect when I sought a coach for my MBA applications, but Jenny Raver far exceeded any of my expectations. The application process is a mentally, emotionally, and time-wise taxing journey – I couldn’t have done it without Jenny’s patience, personalized guidance, and incredible ability to connect the dots across my life/accomplishments in ways that enriched my belief in my own potential. If you’re looking for a coach who knows the process inside out and has your back beyond professional success, I would look no further than Jenny, with whom I look forward to staying close with over future milestones in life.
When researching for an MBA admissions consultant, I interviewed with two MBA admissions consultants and decided to go with Fortuna because Fortuna took the time to get to know me, my background and understand the reason why I want to pursue an MBA prior to assigning me with a coach. After the initial chat and based on my background/school of interests, Fortuna connected me with Jenifer.
It was truly a pleasure working with Jenifer and the Fortuna team. Jenifer is a very knowledgeable coach and she genuinely cares about her students. I chose the 2 school package with Fortuna and worked closely with Jenifer on essay writing for two schools and one mock interview. Throughout the essay editing phase, Jenifer provided great feedback and helped me find inspiration to write essays that tell a compelling story to the school admissions. When I was invited to an interview from my target school, Jenifer did a mock interview to help strengthen my interview answers and made me a stronger candidate.
I also worked with a few other Fortuna consultants with resume and resume editing. Jenifer and the Fortuna team made the lengthy MBA application process a memorable and fun experience.
With the team’s help, I was admitted into my target school! Jenifer is an excellent coach, and I highly recommend her and the Fortuna team if you are looking for an MBA admissions consultant.
As a reapplicant, I was trying to figure out how to improve my application. Even though I went to Jenifer late in the application cycle, she helped me through every step in detail. Her consistent guidance and support were amazing. I discovered new angles to my stories through our discussions. Jenifer’s warm and encouraging approach made the application process enjoyable. Throughout the application cycle (including closer to the deadlines), Jenifer remained extremely professional and responsive. When I was traveling to different time zones, Jenifer still managed to find windows to speak with me even on short notice. Her commitment and open communication made working with her very easy.
After securing admission in a top program, as an international student, the pandemic has brought a fair bit of uncertainty. Jenifer has been very helpful in guiding me along even during this time. I discussed changes in my personal situation and the impact on my MBA plans with her. As always, Jenifer has been immensely supportive with advice and with crafting the perfect message to the admission teams.
From the initial call to working with my coach to director reviews, I felt strongly that the entire experience with Fortuna was personalized. From the beginning, my coach Jenifer was keen on building strong connection with me so that she could get to know me professional and personally. The connection made it possible for her to later personalize strategies and guide me to realize my full potential in applications. At every step, she provided me support thoroughly and patiently. No matter what situation I ran into, I felt I could rely on her expert opinions to exam my actions to take. It brought me peace of mind especially as I had an unconventional background with few connections in the B-school cycle. Along the process, I often came to her with my own research and opinions. Her deep insight into business schools and many years in the education industry allowed her to positively challenge my thoughts. Those challenges only made my logic clear and writings truly reflect my characters. Moreover, although she managed multiple clients concurrently, she was able to provide a lot of personal attention to my cases and successfully managed all deadlines. I would credit it to her strong time management skills, clear communication, and genuine care to the people she works with. I interviewed many coaches before I signed with Jenifer, and later confirmed it was a wise decision. All in all, Jenifer is an excellent coach and a good friend. I highly recommend Jenifer to everyone who has the guts to take a shot at his dream schools.
I worked with Jenifer Raver to prepare for my Team-Based Discussion. The 1-hour session I had with Jenifer as she reviewed my mock TBD and provided feedback to prepare me for the main TBD, made me build a very strong connection with her because she’s so caring, patient, and very insightful.
I wish \ worked with the Fortuna admission team from the beginning when I applied to other schools. I believe I would have gotten all because of the kind of personalized support and extreme attention to detail that I had from Jenifer. I couldn’t think of any better person to work with next time than Jenifer and the Fortuna Admissions.
I’m grateful to have had the good fortune of working with Jenifer. She helped turn the tedious application process into a pleasant and rewarding experience and was both a guide and mentor to me.
When I began exploring MBA programs, I was uncertain if my profile would be appealing to the top-ranked schools, and wasn’t sure which parts of my professional and personal background to emphasize. Jenifer was extraordinarily supportive, patient, encouraging, and earnest in her approach, which helped ease my anxieties — a lifesaver for a worrier like myself! Jenifer helped me explore and find hidden strengths throughout all dimensions in my background, which allowed me to craft a cohesive story that was both authentic and showcased my non-traditional sides as unique assets.
Jenifer was also extremely accommodating to my working style and generous with her time. When I needed her to be more hands-on she was there to help, and when I preferred to drive the process she was very understanding and regularly checked-in to see how I was doing, which I really appreciated.
Beyond being happy with my applications and school results of being accepted at a top program, I truly appreciated the opportunity of getting to know and work with Jenifer, as she helped me grow in the process. I highly recommend working with Jenifer and the Fortuna team!
I worked with Jenifer Raver and the experience was truly rewarding. I got into one of the T10 with a scholarship and will be heading there this fall. I remember it was last year this time when I had the first meeting with Jenifer. Having already talked to many consultants who tend to sell you the same pitch and rosy prospect, Jenifer really stood out for her tremendous caring for clients. It was from that meeting I made the decision to work with her and I couldnāt be happier. The application process can be a rocky road filled with surprise (both good and bad). At the time I was the only one applying for an MBA at my office and it felt like I was on a solo mission in a vacuum. Fortunately, the collaboration with Jenifer mitigated that. I really appreciate her being responsive whenever I need her to discuss an idea or the draft, as well as checking on me if not hearing back from me for a while. Sometimes Iām sidetracked because of other things and itās always helpful to have her reminding me of the timeline. Her background as a Wharton grad and admission officer also allows her to offer insight from the perspective that I sometimes couldnāt think of, helping me putting the narrative into perspective and pushing me to think about what I was really trying to convey to the admission committee. Her understanding of top MBA program and experience from working with clients from different backgrounds gave her the knowledge and competence to discuss each programās unique advantages and suitability very clearly. I would recommend Jenifer to anyone who is considering working with an admission consultant and believe her insight would help applicants fulfill the potential to the greatest extent.
I worked with Jenifer to prepare for my Team-Based Discussion. Since I came from a non-business background (military), the Fortuna Admissions team helped me showcase my strengths while also accentuating my personality. After the mock interview and debrief, I grew more comfortable influencing fellow applicants, whom had widely different personalities and backgrounds that I was used to — a skill to improve upon for any applicant! My performance during game day rounded out my application and ultimately helped me secure a generous merit fellowship. Jenifer was insightful, patient, and empowering. Overall, working with the Fortuna Admissions team will give you invaluable glimpse into what it could feel like during game day. Take my advice, you won’t regret it.
I was approved for MBA sponsorship by my employer close to the deadlines for round two and was very stressed and worried due to the time constraint. The decision to sign up for the Comprehensive School Package with Fortuna was the best decision I’ve made this year. Jenifer did a great job in walking me through the process and setting realistic deadlines for each part. She was also very responsive and attentive to my concerns and worries all throughout the application journey. It was evident that Jenifer has A LOT of experience with top program applications and her tips and feedback regarding my essays was invaluable. My GRE scores were not the best, yet Jenifer’s help in putting together and polishing my overall application resulted in me receiving interview invitations from my top choices. I have so far received interview invitations for Harvard, Wharton, and IESE; my top schools of choice. I greatly enjoyed working with Jenifer and the Fortuna team and would absolutely recommend their services to anyone aiming to get into a top MBA program.
I started my MBA applications quite late, around August. A good friend who got into a top 3 MBA program introduced me to Fortuna and I was very lucky to pair up with Jenifer. At first, I was not that articulate in terms of revealing myself or explaining why I want to pursue a MBA at this stage of my career. I had a hard time connecting the dots together, especially for schools like HBS, which requires a deep reflection on my past experience. Jenifer provided me some very informative and authentic feedback. Most importantly, she guided me to get to know myself in a deeper level. She was literally there for me every step of the way. Throughout this process, I had a truly reflection of who I am and who I want to be in the future. That’s why I said Jenifer is far beyond a MBA consultant. Not to mention she helped me land an interview in one of the top 3 MBA programs (FYI, I only applied to 3 programs and Jenifer is 100% supportive). Unlike other MBA consultants who tried to convince you to apply as many as schools, Jenifer understands what I really want from a MBA program. Overall, if you need a career/life/MBA mentor, I highly recommend Jenifer to anyone.
To start off: I got into my first choice school! M7 school, and I’ll be starting this fall! My background: I’m an Asian engineer with a low undergraduate GPA. I did well on the GMAT, but I had some serious disconnects in my story. I was having some real real trouble putting my essays together, as well as a complete application. I applied to 3 schools, and each application was more daunting than the one before. The word limits were too constraining in my opinion. How was I supposed to fit my entire life story into 500-1000 words? How was I supposed to stand-out from the rest of the crowd? What should I even write about? What makes me special? Jenifer helped me do just that. Jenifer, alongside her colleague Judith, at Fortuna admissions worked with me for an entire 6 months, from start to finish. We kicked it off in June whilst I was putting applications together. I’ve never worked so closely with folks before who care so much about your personal story, and are so heavily invested in your success. They asked the most detailed questions that allowed them to gain insight into who I am as a person, and what is it that will allow me to stand-out. All I had to do was talk to them! They helped me with the rest: 1) We started off by developing a story 2) What differentiates me? 3) How does my story play out, and come together? Jenifer was with me every step of the way, and helped me in piecing my essays together, in my own words! I was having trouble conveying certain sentiments, and staying under the word count. This is my entire life in an essay, after all. Jenifer was with me through dozens of edits on multiple essays. Fortuna’s services also completely re-did my resume. Jenifer completed a very thorough check of every bit and piece of my final application, from career goals, resume information, to essays. I was finally invited to interview, and the level of service from Jenifer shot-up. We had mock interviews, the feedback was phenomenal! I was able to practice feedback since she has interviewed many candidates in her experienced role as an admissions director. Fortuna was with me every step of the way, and never did I once feel as if I was forgetting anything, or that I was mis-stepping. Jenifer, Judith, and the Fortuna folks know EXACTLY what they are doing, and their services were worth every penny. I’m starting at my #1 choice school this fall, and I couldn’t have done it without them. To be honest, I was quite lost without their guidance through this time-consuming process, and I attribute my success to their hard work. Huge thank you to Jenifer, Judith, and Fortuna!
