I came across Saagar and his consulting services quite by chance, through a mutual connection between us. At the time, I was endeavouring to go through the entire MBA process myself but with an interview and three weeks of time in hand, I was at a loss on how to prepare for the final step towards my MBA aspirations.
Enter Saagar. In his 30 minutes ‘no-nonsense chat’, he transparently shared his well thought out, structured approach to interviews, something I could not have possibly otherwise conceived. I came to realize that MBA interviews aren’t something that you just wing, but rather they require careful deliberation and practice to ace. His video material, mock interviews and volleying sessions helped instil within me a great deal of confidence and self belief, which resulted in an extremely positive interview, by the end of which I was all but assured my admit into the MBA program of my dreams.
Saagar is a great person to work with. He strikes the perfect balance between being encouraging while also brutally honest, both instrumental in preparing me for my interview. Despite his busy schedule, he makes it a point to be available to answer questions, reassure you and just generally ease the nerves leading up to the big day. HUGE thank you to him! Keep up the fantastic work.
I found Saagar in probably the most unlikely place – Reddit. After having multiple free profile evaluations calls with other MBA consultants, I feel I connected best with Saagar. From the outset, he gave me candid feedback and outlined a rough roadmap for me to help maximise my chances. When I was finally done with my GMAT re-attempt, Saagar was ready to hit the ground running to begin assisting on my applications, which was very important bearing in mind that I was already late in the application timeline.
The ‘information gathering’ document he sent me is one of the highlights of the application process. Even though it is quite lengthy, it is an incredible tool for self-discovery and really provides the stepping stone for putting forward an incredible application. The tool forced me to go in-depth in the highlights of not just my professional and academic career, but my personality as well. And the follow-up calls with Saagar helped me brainstorm these highlights and traits with him, to further expand on the stories and their impact. The work done in this stage really helped me structure my essays and tailor them to the differing application requirements for various B-schools.
The best thing about working with Saagar was that his feedback was never sugar-coated. He would tell me what I should highlight and always point-out things that needed re-working. The mock interview process, too, was well thought out and helped me prepare for any curveballs that might arise in the actual interview. I saw an incredible turnaround in my interview performance during the mock interviews and that confidence really helped me on my interview day. Overall, I feel, Saagar didn’t look at me as just a client, but as a friend who he wanted to succeed. And that reflects in his dedication towards the number of edits, mocks, brainstorming sessions, and feedback sessions even at odd hours of the night. This helped me put across a well-rounded application and secure an admit at one of my dream schools.
Thanks to his guidance, I ended with an admit to Oxford. Although I didn’t attend the school owing to renewed planning to expand my startup, I would thoroughly recommend Saagar to any applicant uncertain about navigating the MBA application process.
Saagar is very diligent and sincere in his “big brother” advice. He is flexible with respect to timelines, and does not restrict his opinions based on the number edits/iterations etc. He offers a great mix of structured and unstructured methods for applications. For example, he is able to break down interview questions such as “Why MBA” or “Why this school” into structured responses while ensuring delivery is natural and powerful.
He also does not think of the application journey as solely that. I started engaging with Saagar months before we started working together and I realized how he genuinely wants the best for the people he work with. He never pushed me to work with him, or changed his outlook once we started working together. His advice and opinions may not always be what you’d like to hear, but he knows what he is talking about. I have had many conversations with him about things that were hard to accept for me, but Saagar was patient throughout the process and always prioritized geniuine, well-meaning advice over everything.
Saagar’s recommendation of switching over to the GRE was also a key strategic move that helped me with my admit to Kellogg!
Working with Saagar was one of the best decisions I made in my MBA journey in 2022. Thanks to his guidance, I earned admission to Georgetown’s full-time MBA program—but the transformation went far deeper. Saagar is not your average consultant; he’s a coach, a challenger, and a believer who brings out the best in you.
From day one, Saagar pushed me to elevate every element of my application—essays, resume, and even letters of recommendation. He holds a mirror to your potential and challenges but doesn’t let you settle for anything less than ideal. Where others might steer you toward safer options, Saagar inspires you to aim higher—with conviction.
His feedback was sharp, honest, and always actionable. Every draft improved dramatically. And through it all, he remained relentlessly supportive—like a big brother in your corner, genuinely invested in your success.
If you’re serious about your MBA dreams and want someone who won’t just polish your app but help you grow through the process, Saagar is the one. I can’t recommend him enough.
Back in 2022, I kick started my application with a tight timeline in R2 because of retaking GMAT. The call with Saagar gave me confidence when I was so exhausted with GMAT. The process of “self-discovery” guided me to rethink my stories and the hours’ calls with Saagar helped me to choose the most convincing stories for the application.
Saagar helped me streamline the process and, most importantly, helped me in a very efficient and effective way esp. interview mocks. This was my first application – Saagar’s honest feedback when the essays / interviews mock were not well-prepared and encouragement when we improved helped a lot. I then was able to assess where I was and where I should focus on. The experience also indeed helped me re-discover myself and be reflective as a person.
All in all, I got admitted to INSEAD and IMD. Thank you team for the help! Would highly recommend Saagar.
More than showcasing your accomplishments, the MBA application journey is about understanding yourself and each of your life decisions. In a way, it is like unprompted therapy. Hence, who you take along on that journey, is as important as choosing the right school. That’s where Saagar came in.
At a time when I was juggling daily hospital visits, MBA prep and startup responsibilities, Saagar brought the much-needed clarity and structure to the mess. He never rushed to tick a box on his consultant duties. Instead, he adapted his process (which, might I add, is incredible and perfected to a T) to my unpredictable schedule while holding me accountable in a quiet, consistent manner. I always felt like I was moving forward, even on weeks I couldn’t even get a line of text down on my essays.
I remember a moment when I had fallen behind on a key application and was considering skipping that school altogether. Instead of letting it go as most other consultants would have, Saagar reset the roadmap. He worked overtime around my energy levels, and helped me submit a strong, thoughtful application that laid the foundation for all my other applications.
What stood out was how he balanced empathy with realism. He challenged my assumptions, asking me why I believed certain things about my story, and helped me develop conviction in my own narrative. His interview prep was similarly surgical. He wouldn’t rest until you build muscle memory around the fundamentals which can, then, easily be tailored to each school. He goes above and beyond to provide each of his candidates individual support and follows up diligently to get each application in, multiple days in a row.
Thanks to Saagar, I got into IIMA PGPX, McCombs (30k USD scholarship), ISB and IIMB EPGP and also, came out of the process clearer, more confident, and much more self-aware.
If you’re looking for someone who will match your intensity without overwhelming you, who brings equal parts discipline and depth to the process – I recommend Saagar. In the guise of a consultant, he has been a guide, a mirror, and occasionally, a much-needed taskmaster.
Working with Saagar and Ambi was truly transformative. As a younger candidate without the typical MBA profile, I was initially overwhelmed about how to present my story. But from day one, they brought clarity, structure, and genuine care to the process.
Together, Saagar and Ambi helped me build my entire narrative from scratch. They took the time to deeply understand my background, aspirations, and values—asking insightful questions that helped me unearth stories I hadn’t thought to highlight. What felt like scattered experiences at first soon turned into a cohesive, compelling story that genuinely reflected who I was.
One of the biggest challenges was striking the right balance between professional achievements and personal growth. Their feedback was always sharp, constructive, and incredibly honest—ensuring my essays remained authentic while being strategically positioned for each school.
A standout moment was with my IESE application. I had nearly missed the deadline and was feeling stuck. Saagar immediately stepped in, worked with me intensively, and helped me pull everything together under intense time pressure. Without his calm, focused guidance and belief in my story, that application wouldn’t have gone through—let alone led to an admit.
Thanks to their support, I secured multiple interview invites and ultimately chose to matriculate at IESE. More than anything, Saagar and Ambi made a daunting, emotional process feel purposeful and empowering.
If you’re looking for partners who will not only refine your applications but help you discover your story and own it with confidence, I can’t recommend Saagar and Ambi enough.
I got in touch with Saagar and was pleasantly surprised that our initial conversations were not just about the prospect of me applying and whether I would fare well, but actually about whether the MBA made sense for me at this point in my career, where I was on the younger side. Saagar scheduled multiple conversations with me in order to first ascertain whether an MBA made sense or not, rather than discussing the application strategy. I think this, in a nutshell, summarizes Saagar’s approach towards the MBA applications — authentic, personalized, and process-driven.
Convinced by his approach, I went ahead and signed up with him. Over the next few months, he coached me through creating and crafting my profile in terms of filling my gaps in extracurriculars, as well as taking on more impactful projects at work, to ensure that by the time the application deadlines arrived, I was ready to go. This was especially critical because I had only two years of experience, which meant that I was significantly younger than most candidates applying — and I was on the lookout for high scholarships.
I particularly recall the deep exploration during his life story calls, where he was able to piece together a lot of my personality traits through self-reflective exercises that I think have helped me even beyond the MBA application itself. When it came to the actual applications, I think he is an absolute beast at ensuring that your authentic narrative is coming out on paper, come what may. He was very rigorous in terms of minutely going through every word on my essay, critiquing it ruthlessly until we reached the perfect version.
I remember a couple of times I was a little anxious about hitting the deadlines in time, but he was very reassuring and extremely confident about what he was doing, and in the end, we did manage to hit all our deadlines. His expertise also came to the fore during the interview preparation phase. As someone who’d not given too many formal interviews, I was a little raw in that area, and he was once again unrelenting in terms of scheduling multiple mocks, framing each of my answers, and walking me through the nuances of each school’s interview preferences.
To no surprise, I encountered absolutely no surprises during any of the interviews, and most of the questions were those that we were already prepared for. I think his meticulous approach — the fact that he really followed up and ensured that I was prepared — was a testament to the accountability he brings towards his applicants.
I was able to secure more than five interview invites from the schools we applied to and finally ended up with admits from UCLA Anderson (with a $120,000 scholarship), UNC Kenan-Flagler, USC Marshall (with a $60,000 scholarship), Texas McCombs (with a $30,000 scholarship), and Vanderbilt Owen (with a $114,000 scholarship). While these are great programs, I think along the way, thanks to his mentorship, I was able to visualize where I wanted my career to go. I had an honest chat with him in terms of maybe wanting to explore further in my career before coming back and reapplying, and again, to his credit, he was extremely candid in terms of his views. Eventually, I decided not to take up these admits.
Along the way, I think I not just got his help as a consultant for my applications, but gained a mentor who’ll hopefully continue guiding me not just on my MBA, but beyond it in my career as well. I think he’s extremely passionate about ensuring that his applicants succeed — to the extent where he is going to probably follow up with you more than you follow up with him. He’s extremely sure of his craft, and to anyone who is looking for an authentic, personal approach towards their MBA application narratives, I cannot recommend anyone more than Saagar. Go with him with your eyes closed — he’s your best bet out there, especially if you have an unconventional profile or gaps in yours.
After a burning my hands in R1, I got in touch with Saagar through LinkedIn to discuss my situation. I had some interviews but was confused on how to prepare for them. Saagar empathetically understood where I was coming from and gave me advice accordingly as we set my stance for further apps and interviews.
What stood out to me throughout was Saagar’s direct communication style – he didn’t beat around the bush and was unafraid to give me honest feedback that I needed. Further, he was always available to answer to my questions – patiently, and optimistically answering them. There are three key moments that stand out during my experience with him –
First is his advice and feedback during the video essay and interviewing phase. A seasoned communicator, he knew the ins-and-outs of the process. His tips and coaching was invaluable as I felt better prepared through the interviews.
Second is his mentorship during the waitlist phase. His guidance was instrumental in navigating this tricky phase, strategically sharing actions to keep in touch with the admissions teams from some schools while simultaneously drafting applications for others.
As a result, I landed multiple admits and had tough choices to make in terms of geography. And this is where he came through again. We had multiple calls where he patiently listened through my apprehensions, thoughts, helping me dispassionately evaluate the pros and cons of my options. I can confidently that his advice was critical in my final decision of attending Yale amidst multiple admits!
Overall, I would whole-heartedly recommend Saagar to anybody looking for help on their MBA applications. He knows his craft very well, but most importantly, he is patient, diligent and truly on your side throughout the process. It was a great experience interacting with him.
As someone who got admitted to INSEAD and other schools, I’d like to share my experience with Saagar that helped me build my application.
The process to enter into your ‘self discovery’ is very well made and really help to dig into your stories, success, failures, goals etc.
Saagar really helped me to structure my thoughts and put the best of me into the application. I found it very difficult to respect the word counts of the essays and Saagar has been very helpful to organize my ideas and summarize them in the essays.
Finally, Saagar gave me very useful tools for the interview process and the many mocks we did together put me in the best condition to pass that exercice.
Thanks to Saagar, I not only got my dream school but also learnt a lot about me and how to highlight the best part of my profil and clarify my goals
If you’re looking to apply to business schools, especially the top European programs, you’ve come to the right place. Do not think twice—go with Saagar!
Unlike most applicants, I found Saagar after my first round of applications and a rejection from INSEAD. At that point, having already gone through the daunting application process once and losing hope after paying hefty fees to a previous consultant, I was understandably hesitant. However, I decided to do a “ding analysis” with Saagar. Even during our initial call, Saagar’s genuine investment in my journey was evident, and despite my reservations, I felt confident enough to invest and reapply to another set of schools.
What makes Saagar unique is his complete dedication to you as a candidate. His goal is always to guide you to the best possible outcome, even if it challenges your initial perceptions. I deeply appreciated and valued the life discovery exercises and insightful discussions he offered, which helped me craft an authentic and compelling narrative for my applications. As part of one of the most over-represented demographics—Indian engineering males—Saagar’s approach allowed me to distinguish myself clearly, showcasing my personality and goals in a unique, powerful way. When reviewing my final application, I was genuinely amazed by its strength—something that simply wouldn’t have been possible without Saagar’s Narratives!
Thanks to his support, I received interview invitations from Ross and London Business School. Saagar continued his active guidance through rigorous interview preparation, even staying up late to accommodate my US timezone. His approach went beyond basic preparation, providing targeted “volley sessions” to ensure I was ready to tackle even the most challenging interview questions. This preparation was crucial to acing my LBS interview—something I genuinely don’t think would have been achievable without his support.
Throughout the process, even during moments of stress and anxiety, I knew Saagar had my back and would deliver on his promises. If you’re searching for an MBA consultant, look no further—Saagar and Ambi are truly the perfect choice.
Finally thank you once again Saagar and Ambi, for helping me get into my dream school LBS and also helping me get the unexpected interview at Ross!
Alright, where do I start? Saagar, this guy gets it. I came from crunching numbers and diving deep into analytics, but my GMAT score? Let’s just say it wasn’t the highlight of my application. I was skeptical at first, but Saagar, he had this different vibe about him. He wasn’t about the scores or the typical ‘sell-yourself’ strategy. No, he was all about what makes you, well, you.
He got me to talk about my love for anime in my essays. Yes, Japanese anime! I never thought my binge-watching could help my MBA app, but Saagar showed me how my unique interests could tell a story about who I am and stand out. And the clock was ticking; we were running against time with deadlines just around the corner. Saagar was up late, sending edits, jumping on calls, pushing me to refine my stories, making every minute count.
And you know what? He even had me shooting for the stars – INSEAD and LBS, schools I felt I had no chance. His interview prep was where we he came into his own – practical, straightforward frameworks, and mock interviews so thorough I knew exactly what I was going to say before I said it. He’d time my answers to the second, pinpointing the moment I’d lose focus and helping me tighten it up.
Then the unbelievable happened – I got the admit. INSEAD and LBS with scholarships! It was all Saagar – his dedication, his belief in me, his attention to detail. He wasn’t just a consultant; he was a mentor who really cared. And that made all the difference.
For anybody who thinks they have issues in their profile, Saagar’s your guy. He is not only skilled at creating a compelling narrative but also really makes you believe that you can punch well above your weight when you feel you have no business to.
Applying for an MBA is a daunting journey, but having Saagar as my consultant made all the difference. In every single call, he took the time to truly understand my story, creating such a comfortable environment that I had no problem sharing even my vulnerabilities and insecurities. He didn’t just focus on my work experience—he went all the way back, asking about the shows I watched, the books I read, my school journey, sports, and leadership experiences. Reflecting on all these aspects took effort, but the way he wove them together to position my story was incredible.
A lot of his questions were deeply thought-provoking, especially when he pushed me to uncover the intent behind my actions. It wasn’t just about listing accomplishments—it was about truly understanding who I am. Looking back, I can confidently say this whole application process has made me more self-aware and confident about my abilities and journey.
What truly stood out was his unwavering support. He was always patient, incredibly responsive, and quite literally held my hand through the entire process. On submission deadlines, he didn’t just check in—he stayed up with me, guiding me through the final touches and ensuring everything was perfect until the very last minute. His dedication went far beyond what I ever expected, even staying up multiple nights to help me navigate forms and last-minute essay edits.
Beyond the application, his mentorship during interview prep was truly exceptional. In the initial days, he personally coached me on how to craft my answers around major themes and deliver them with confidence. He conducted multiple mock interviews early on, providing detailed, constructive feedback that helped me refine my responses. As the interview dates got closer, he kept the environment extremely positive—checking in every day, motivating me, and ensuring I felt prepared and self-assured. Saagar isn’t just an education consultant; he’s a coach, a mentor, and a true well-wisher. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your success and will go above and beyond to ensure you put your best foot forward, I can’t recommend him enough!
Thanks to his guidance, I have been admitted to USC Marshall and UNC Kenan-Flagler, both with a 50% scholarship, and I’m still waiting on more results!
I was introduced to Saagar through mutual connections, and thanks to him, I managed to get an admit to the USC Marshall MBA program. My experience working with Saagar was fantastic.
Right from the beginning, what impressed me the most was his commitment to my success. He was diligent in ensuring he completely understood my background through an exhaustive process of gathering data points and organizing calls. The life story call was particularly beneficial in helping him craft a personalized strategy for me. He provided specific directions on every essay, which he meticulously reviewed. His magic template framework was invaluable in guiding me through the entire process.
There were times when I required extensive hand-holding, and Saagar was always available, irrespective of whether it was late at night or early in the morning. Another standout aspect of his coaching was his interview preparation. He is excellent at breaking down the interview process into a structured program. The repeated mock interviews gave me insight into the types of questions I might encounter. His exhaustive approach ensured that almost all the questions I faced in my MBA interview were ones I had prepared for in advance.
Through this deep, reflective process, I gained a better understanding of my career goals and became a sharper communicator. Though I eventually did not attend USC Marshall, I emerged from this experience more confident and focused. I would highly recommend Saagar to anyone looking for help with their applications. If you want someone passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to your success, look no further.
I ironically met Saagar when I was close to signing up with another top admissions consulting firm. I came across him on reddit when I was looking for feedback on the said consulting firm. He offered me his famous “30-minute non-salesy, non-bs calls” and during the call, I felt an instant connection. His open and frank communication style and his structured way of defining my plan of action resonated with me and I decided to sign-up with him.
During our application strategy session, it became evident that my test scores could be a challenge. I had taken multiple GMAT attempts and thus was hesitant to go through the grind again. Saagar went out of his way to motivate and coach me. He connected me with past clients who had aced the GRE and constantly followed up on my progress, something that was not part of his JD.
Saagar has his unique way of uncovering hidden gem stories – “Life-story calls”. During this four hour session Saagar, Ambi, and I went through each phase of my life discussing each at length. This session was immensely useful in uncovering experiences that would have otherwise been forgotten.
His magic template approach allows one to clearly understand how they need to structure essays, making effective use of available word limit and conveying the intended message. His interview prep approach and coaching helped me to better structure my answers and made me much more confident in presenting my narrative to the interviewer.
Thanks to Saagar’s help I received multiple interview invites across M7, T15s, and T20s and have also received admits from two of my target schools (awaiting few more results).
In summary, I will whole heartedly recommend Saagar to anyone who is looking for end-to-end help with their B-school applications. Saagar is someone who is extremely diligent and constantly goes beyond the norm for an admissions consultant. He becomes personally invested in your success. Working with Saagar you not only get an expert admission’s consultant but also a great friend who is always there with you with his incredible elder brotherly advice.
I had multiple conversations with different consultants, but Saagar was the only one I returned to when I was sure I would be applying this year. He never hesitated to give me his time when I shared my story and tons of concerns. Going from consultants who gave me just 20 minutes to explain my background to Saagar, who spent two-hour-long calls answering all my questions, made all the difference. He is truly a notch above when it comes to being present and invested in this process. Even before I officially signed up with him, Saagar meticulously created a personalized list of schools tailored to my profile. His deep understanding of what different schools look for in candidates was evident in how thoughtfully he put that list together. From the moment we started working on my applications, Saagar was incredibly thorough in crafting my story. He always has a strong vision for each of his clients, but he never imposes his ideas or dictates what one should write. Instead, he challenges you with tough love, multiple revisions, and a lot of hard work. Throughout the process, he remained highly approachable via WhatsApp and calls, ensuring I never felt like I was doing this alone—he was a true mentor. The result was that my essays sounded exactly like me. They still had my natural voice, captured the best bits of my life, and still felt compelling. I was extremely satisfied with every essay I submitted, which is a huge deal. For the video essays and interviews, Saagar and I practiced relentlessly for the schools I got interview invites to. He accommodated all my scheduling requests, often making himself available at odd hours. His storytelling skills are incredible, and I am certain I absorbed some of them through our mock sessions. By the time I went into my interviews, I felt confident and well-prepared, all thanks to Saagar and even converted my top choice T15 school. Looking back, working with Saagar was one of the best bets I made.
I worked with Saagar during my MBA application process, and his guidance was invaluable. He helped me dig deep into my motivations and passions, making me realize what truly made me a well-rounded candidate. For example, I initially felt that I didn’t have good extracurriculars then he conducted a call in which he went through my personal life in detail and found things like my success in strategy games or solving Rubik’s cubes could make a case for my analytical ability.
His structured approach to essays provided a clear framework that made the writing process much more manageable. Some school-specific essay questions were particularly challenging, and I often struggled with how to approach them. However, Saagar consistently provided insightful strategies that not only clarified my direction but also helped me showcase my strengths in the best possible way.
His interview prep was also extremely helpful—thorough, practical, and focused on improving both content and delivery. Thanks to his support, I felt well-prepared throughout the interview process.
I have received admits from Ross, Tepper, and Kenan-Flagler so far with admits still coming in.
I had the pleasure of working with Saagar as my MBA consultant, and I can confidently say that he played a pivotal role in my MBA application journey.
When I first started, I was panicking about the tight timeline — just one month to turn around my applications. But Saagar’s process-oriented, organized approach quickly put me at ease. From the start, I felt that I was in safe hands. He guided me through each step meticulously, helping me craft well-rounded and compelling applications.
One of the most valuable aspects of the process was the brainstorming session we had. It gave me the opportunity to deeply reflect on my personal and professional experiences. He then created a detailed master document on my background, which became a cornerstone of my applications. This document helped me articulate my story in a clear and authentic way.
What really stood out was how Saagar helped me tailor my applications to each school specifically. His attention to detail and understanding of each program ensured that my essays were not only strong but aligned with the unique culture of each school.
Saagar also went above and beyond in preparing me for the interview process. He helped me practice video interviews and was always there to check in, even when I occasionally slacked off. His dedication and commitment to my success were clear every step of the way.
The results were beyond my expectations. I received interview invites from all the T20 US colleges I applied to. Saagar also helped me prepare for these interviews, managing his time last minute to accommodate my sudden requests. I’m thrilled to have received two admits so far — Owen Vanderbilt with a more than 60% scholarship and UNC Kenan Flagler. I’ve also been waitlisted at Kelley and am still awaiting results from other schools, but I’m extremely pleased with the outcome, especially considering the tight timeline and minimal stress.
What truly sets Saagar apart is his intuition and understanding of people. He quickly grasped my personality, strengths, and weaknesses, which not only helped me craft better applications but also gave me a deeper understanding of myself. This has been a learning experience and a rewarding one at that.
I would recommend him to anyone looking for an MBA consultant. His professionalism, dedication, and insight are unmatched.
As I embarked on my MBA application journey, I was seeking guidance and direction, and close friend recommended Saagar to me. From our very first conversation, I became pretty sure that Sagar was the one I will be working with. That was the confidence and assurance I got from the call. He was knowledgeable, understanding and on the point.
As we had discussions about my target schools and suitability of my profile, unlike many others out there, he did not sugarcoat reality. Instead, Sagar was open, straightforward, and provided honest insights, helping me to calibrate my expectations realistically.
Saagar guided me closely with application process. Coming from a manufacturing background, I have had many experiences of handling tough and challenging situations, but I was not clear how to articulate them or relate them to my essays in applications. In our reflection calls, Saagar patiently listened to all of them and gave invaluable insights of how these experiences can be used to showcase my skills and personality in the application by creative a narrative. Saagar gave the framework and life to my stories which really stood out in all my applications.
Saagar was always approachable. Understanding my apprehension to video essays and interviews, Saagar put many hours in helping me prepare thoroughly and build confidence. Reflecting back, there is tremendous change in my approach to answering questions through mock sessions. This helped me develop structure and clarity to my answers which kept the interviewer engaged and captivated. It helped to me clear all the interviews I have attended and get admits from my target schools. I had a fantastic experience working with him. I would strongly recommend Saagar to anyone looking for help to get into their target MBA schools.
Reaching out to Saagar for my MBA application turned out to be the decision that completely transformed my journey. Coming from a tech background and aiming for a shift into product management, I knew I had the experience but wasn’t sure how to frame it for the MBA leap. Saagar became the architect of my story, helping me connect the dots between my past work and my future ambitions.
A particularly challenging moment was after Round 1 of applications. Despite a strong GMAT score, I faced rejections from top B-Schools, leaving me devastated. I approached Saagar then and his help resulted in admits to multiple schools, including USC Marshall with a scholarship!
Saagar stepped in not just as a consultant but as a friend, dedicating countless hours to help refine my application narrative, align my career goals with my past experiences, and identify the key strengths I needed to highlight. His guidance was crucial in transforming my application for the better.
Saagar’s commitment shone through especially during the essay writing phase. I was stuck, unsure of how to articulate my story compellingly. Saagar’s insights were invaluable here; he pinpointed exactly what I needed to focus on, making the essay not just better but deeply personal and reflective of my journey. It was his ability to see the potential in my story and his dedication to showcasing it in the best light that truly made the difference.
Thanks to Saagar, not only did my application improve significantly, resulting in interviews from all the schools I applied to, but his efforts also led me to secure multiple admits with substantial scholarships. It’s rare to find someone who goes beyond the role of a consultant to become a lifelong mentor. Saagar did just that, going above and beyond to connect me with alumni and current students, preparing me meticulously for interviews, and always being there to offer support and encouragement.
For anyone looking to make their MBA dreams a reality, especially with the added challenge of scholarships, Saagar is the mentor you’re looking for. His unparalleled dedication, insight, and ability to bring out the best in your story are what sets him apart. I started this journey looking for a consultant but ended up with a mentor and a guide who was instrumental in turning my MBA aspirations into success
I reached out to Saagar when I only had ~20 days left to apply to my target schools, INSEAD and LBS. He luckily had a spot left and could accommodate me, however, he warned that it would be an intense ride as there was a thorough process he followed to ensure his applicants have a well-stitched application.
He however promised to match my pace, and over the next 3 weeks, he followed through on his promise by checking in on me regularly to ensure I was writing my essay drafts on time even with my extremely busy schedule.
He also made sure I didn’t compromise on the video essay component of my application and asked me to practise with him as many times as required, until I felt confident to tackle that component of the application.
In the end, I was able to submit a quality application just in time. I’m confident this wouldn’t have been possible without Saagar and Ambi burning the midnight oil alongside me and smoothing out the rough edges of my essays. The life story session and content gathering document were critical components that allowed me to introspect and enabled them to bring out aspects of my personality that I wouldn’t have showcased in a B-school application otherwise.
I’m not sure how conventional admissions consultants work, but I can confidently say that if you spend enough time on your application with folks at The Narratives, you will be able to submit a high-quality and well-rounded application. In case you’re a chronic procrastinator like myself, don’t fret, they will have your back. 🙂
Saagar and AV played a pivotal role in my MBA application journey, leading to my admission to UNC with a full scholarship. From day one, they provided incredible support, helping me craft a story that showcased my unique background and strengths. They pushed me to reflect deeply, uncovering accomplishments I hadn’t even considered significant—like leading a small team during a challenging project or driving results in an unconventional role—and helped frame them as key highlights of my profile.
Their interview preparation was transformative. Saagar conducted over 20 mock interviews, offering detailed feedback that refined my answers and boosted my confidence. When I struggled to articulate my MBA goals, he helped me align them with program values in a clear and authentic way.
What set them apart was their commitment—they were always available, providing thoughtful guidance and encouragement every step of the way. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, I achieved results beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Saagar and AV to anyone navigating the MBA admissions process—they truly make a difference.
When I started navigating the daunting MBA application process, a friend referred me to The Narratives Inc. At this point, I had already talked to a few consultants, but I clicked with Saagar right away. His deep understanding of the application process and remarkable emotional intelligence set him apart, helping him truly understand the real you and your stories. I wanted someone who would have a no-nonsense approach, and Saagar is just that. Saagar’s content-gathering document and storytelling sessions were incredibly effective. They pushed me to dig deep into my own experiences and craft an authentic narrative about myself. During these sessions, Ambi helped me uncover my failures and areas for personal improvement—which not only added depth to my application but also gave me new self-awareness. Saagar brings a unique mix of structured thinking and creative storytelling to the process. His guidance on how crystalizes complex life events and goals into compelling narratives elevated my essays. He doesn’t just guide; he challenges and inspires you to sculpt your story to its best form, ensuring your personality and values shine and the application reflect the “Real” you. When it came to interviews, Saagar’s volley sessions were invaluable. Having been a public speaker for years, I initially didn’t think I needed much help. But his mock sessions elevated my clarity and articulation to another level. This was especially evident in my interviews with U.S. schools, where the structure and expectations differ from EU programs. Saagar is highly professional and has a remarkable ability to keep the application process on track. Even when I felt things were delayed, he guided me with clarity and helped me push through to meet deadlines—calming me down and sometimes even working with me late into the night. His approach keeps you accountable while making sure the process stays focused and efficient.
Thank to Narrative Inc I have able to secure admission at Insead (my dream target), HEC Paris, UNC Kenan-Flagler ($$100K)!
They’re not just experts—they’re partners who genuinely care about your success.
Saagar was instrumental in my MBA journey. He brought structure, direction and calm to the application process’s chaos. Saagar took the time to understand not just my profile but who I am, and my values and goals, which set the tone for the process. Saagar approached the school selection criteria with pragmatism but also left some space for ambition. His deep insight into the selection criteria of each school ensured I was portraying my authentic self in a language the school understood. Saagar paid close attention to every step of the process. He went the extra mile to connect me to people and help me research and understand each school. Saagar took the time to debate and challenge my views and ideas. Saagar subscribes to a very high standard of quality and work ethic and leads by example. His outcome focus meant he spent as much time as necessary iterating each essay to make it the best possible. He is also very conscientious which makes working with him easy. Saagar paid extra attention to my interviewing skills and ran multiple mocks with me until he believed I was truly ready and comfortable. He was truly invested in my success. There was a time when I had given up and checked out of the process and Saagar gave me some much-needed tough love; he grounded and pushed me forward. Saagar was a caring mentor, a hard taskmaster and an encouraging friend when the time called for it. My year at INSEAD would not have happened were it not for Saagar.
I got in touch with Saagar thanks to my husband, who had worked with him previously and seen successful results. I was at a critical stage in my career where I had to make a strong case for business school, despite my unconventional background as both a content creator and a marketing strategist. I felt I needed someone who could truly understand the uniqueness of my experiences and effectively translate them into a compelling MBA application. Additionally, securing a scholarship was a pressing need, and choosing to work with Saagar ticked all these boxes. Ultimately, I was admitted to the UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA program with a full-ride scholarship, and I believe working with Saagar was the best decision I made.
Saagar stood out to me in multiple ways. First was his data-gathering process. Given my unconventional background, he was incredibly patient, dedicating hours to understanding where I came from. For instance, he reviewed past interviews I had given and even browsed through my Instagram playlist of reels to gain a deeper understanding of my work. His attention to detail was unparalleled, as he delved into every aspect of my childhood, schooling, and college education to craft a holistic narrative that gave me an edge.
Second was his assistance during interview preparation. Having had limited experience with interviews, I was quite nervous. Saagar’s deep understanding of MBA interviews and his ability to pinpoint the right stories stood out. He introduced me to his unique story map framework, which helped us quickly identify and refine multiple stories across various themes. Through rigorous mock interview preparation, he ensured I delivered my responses with confidence. A moment that stands out was the day we did three mock interviews, with the last one wrapping up at 2 AM—just in time for my interview. His commitment and positivity helped calm my nerves and kept me motivated throughout.
Third was his guidance on my application essays. His “magic template” provided clear structural guidance for every essay, giving me a sense of direction. I valued his openness to debate and his ability to push me toward more impactful narratives. I remember one essay where I initially preferred a particular incident, but after a thoughtful discussion, Saagar convinced me to choose a story that ultimately made a stronger case for my application.
Overall, my experience with Saagar was outstanding. He is a powerhouse—a coach who pushes you to your limits with empathy and precision. His expertise is unquestionable, and his commitment to my success was evident at every step. He transformed my unconventional background into a cohesive and compelling narrative, a story that continues to resonate even after starting my MBA. I would highly recommend Saagar to anyone navigating the MBA application process.
After taking the GMAT and exploring various consultants, I had the chance to speak with Saagar. Among all the conversations, my chat with him stood out!—I felt an immediate sense of comfort and trust. Knowing that he had successfully guided my husband to secure admissions into several top schools only reinforced my confidence in choosing him. From the start, Saagar provided the personalized support I needed for my MBA journey, guiding me through each step of the process.
He helped me build my application from scratch, making my work experience clear and my story compelling. I was especially anxious about the interviews, video essays, and assessments, but he went the extra mile, joining multiple calls to guide me and ease my nerves. His support and personal touch made the entire process so much easier.Coming from a tech background, I didn’t have much experience with case studies or how they worked. Saagar patiently guided me through them, helping me understand and approach them with confidence. He guided me through different techniques for video essays and interview questions, which helped me streamline my responses. I’m sure I’ll continue to use these skills throughout my life! Saagar also involved AV in our calls, which gave me a fresh perspective and was very helpful. Their combined guidance really boosted my confidence.
Thanks to Saagar, I was able to secure admission to my target schools, IESE and ISB, and take a big step toward achieving my goals.
All in all, more than just a consultant, Saagar was a true mentor. He was always available to offer sound advice and became someone I could rely on for guidance with any problem I faced throughout the process.I wholeheartedly recommend Saagar to anyone looking to pursue an MBA. His guidance and support truly make a difference in navigating the application process.
I came across Saagar in the most unorthodox of ways – on an anonymous professional grapevine platform. He was kind enough to offer a very detailed response to a query I had posted. We got on a call the very next day, and there was instant chemistry between the two of us. As I was a reapplicant aiming for schools which are notoriously hostile towards reapplications, Saagar was positive and also very straightforward about the scale of the task cut out for us from the get go. The first step of working with Saagar is a storyboarding session. My session lasted several hours, and was almost therapeutic in nature. Saagar delved into my childhood and extracted examples from my life that I would have never thought relevant from the point of a B School application. Armed with these examples, Saagar helped me weave together a tapestry that captured the very essence of who I was, and which became the backbone of my applications. The actual applications were intense! Saagar is an unrelenting force, and we would often burn the midnight oil perfecting my essays. I pride myself as a writer, but Saagar helped me realize that every word in a B School application counts. He cut out the fluff from my writing as well as my thought process, and helped me structure my mind, a practice which I have since adopted in every facet of life. Throughout, Saagar was extremely patient with me, even when I sometimes started panicking. When it came to the video essay / interview prep, Saagar was simply amazing, and dare I say, somewhat strict. He knew how much work had to be done, and realising I was someone who needed a more hands on approach, he didn’t hesitate to give me a kick on the backside when it was required. We did several mock sessions, and he helped me craft stories covering every aspect / quality that is generally asked in an interview. He dedicated an immense amount of time towards this prep, and was instrumental in me handling my interviews confidently. I have worked with admissions consultants in the past, and its safe to say that Saagar is a league apart. It’s been an absolute privilege working with him. Over the course of the past six months, Saagar has become a mentor, and more importantly, a trusted brother and friend. He is someone whose opinion I value immensely, and he has always gone above and beyond in order to guide and help me, even in very trying circumstances. He is someone whom I will continue to seek out whenever in doubt, and any B School applicant fortunate enough to work with him is truly in incredibly safe hands.
As someone from a nontraditional background, navigating the process of applying to a top business school was completely new to me. Thankfully, Saagar was there to guide me every step of the way and made the entire process feel manageable. What stood out most about Saagar was his genuine investment in my success. Unlike many consultants who cap the number of one-on-one meetings or essay revisions, Saagar was incredibly patient and flexible. For one of my applications, we worked through 17 versions of the essay until it felt perfect. His understanding of top business schools is unmatched. He knows exactly what each school looks for in candidates and uses that insight to help you craft an application that stands out. The content-gathering document and life story sessions were especially helpful. They pushed me to think deeply about my journey, helping me understand my strengths and weaknesses clearly. Saagar’s guidance helped me develop a strong narrative that not only strengthened my applications but also gave me clarity on my long-term goals. His insights helped me land interviews with schools like Stanford, Wharton, and Yale. The interview stage was where I struggled the most, but this is where Saagar’s passion for public speaking and coaching really came through. From refining behavioral stories, to nailing the time constraints, he went above and beyond, running multiple mock sessions and giving detailed feedback. At one point, we even did three mock interviews in a single day. This preparation gave me the confidence I needed to handle the interviews successfully.
If you’re an aspiring MBA candidate looking for a consultant who truly goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Saagar highly enough.
From the very beginning, Saagar took the time to deeply understand my story. He listened patiently and meticulously, unearthing the most compelling aspects of my background to craft a cohesive and tailored strategy. His ability to go deep and extract the best from one’s experiences is unmatched.
One of Saagar’s greatest strengths is his exceptional skill in helping candidates narrate their stories. He invested considerable time getting to know my personality, which allowed him to guide me in expressing myself authentically and compellingly. The narratives we built together were deeply personal, resonant, and reflective of my unique journey.
His interview preparation was nothing short of outstanding. Unlike other consultants who limit themselves to 1-2 mock sessions, Saagar provided thorough and comprehensive training. His “volley” sessions, where he threw curveball questions in rapid-fire style, were invaluable in preparing me to handle the unexpected. The sheer number of sessions and the attention to refining even minor weaknesses ensured I was confident and well-versed with every aspect of my story.
What truly sets Saagar apart is his empathy. Beyond the technicalities of applications and interviews, he was there to support me emotionally. Whether it was calming me down during stressful moments—like when a recommender was unresponsive until the last minute—or helping me manage anxiety when my interview got rescheduled, Saagar provided the reassurance and support I needed to stay focused and perform my best.
For anyone seeking personal attention, a rigorous and tailored approach, and a consultant who genuinely cares about your success, Saagar is the ideal choice. Working with him not only elevated my application but also boosted my confidence throughout the entire process.
The reason I decided to work with Saagar and his team was that since the very first conversation I had with him, I felt a sense of comfort. I believe this is a very underrated skill when people are looking for a consultant.
I knew that the standard requirements from a consultant are something that all good consultants can help me with, given their experience. But I was not looking for a cookie cutter story for my MBA applications. I was looking for my authentic self being portrayed to the admissions committee in the best possible way. And Saagar & team brought out the qualities of mine through conversations that made me aware of my strengths and weaknesses, this guidance in thought process helped me write my story. And the only non-negotiable that every b-school is looking for is your genuine story!
Saagar lived up to every expectation and beyond. At Amazon I learnt about customer obsession and working with Saagar I saw what going above and beyond for your client meant. I will always be grateful to him for being by my side during the stressful times closer to deadlines when he ensured I had someone guiding me through it, burning the night lamp.
In addition, he is amazing at mock interviews and knows exactly what the applicant needs to focus on. As I proceed towards my MBA journey, I am thankful to have made the right choice in choosing Saagar & team for my application journey.
Having spoken with several consultants, there were two things that stood out to me with Saagar right from day 1 – he was genuine, and his approach was not templatized.
I had applied to b-schools before without much success and Saagar was very genuine with feedback on my previous applications and had unique suggestions on areas where I could improve my application. When we eventually began working, what I loved most was that Saagar didn’t follow a one-shoe-fits-all approach but invested significant time in understanding me and my story – from engaging my friends and family to describe my personality to scheduling a life story call to dive deep into my childhood and life choices. Through such unique activities, Saagar was able to unearth unique experiences and weave interesting stories that were initially non-intuitive to me.
Another aspect that I struggled in my previous applications was a problem of plenty. I had so many stories to showcase but wasn’t able to find a common thread or emphasize key elements. Saagar was extremely tactful in bringing all my experiences together and frame a coherent narrative for my prior experience and future goals.
Lastly, the best part about Saagar is going over and beyond and being invested in my success – be it during many essay iterations or pushing me while writing recommendation drafts or spending significant amounts of time getting me ready for interviews. There were several instances where I was satisfied with my progress, but Saagar kept constantly pushing me and as a result, my application reached a new level. And I am very grateful that Saagar did this!
To anyone who is thinking about applying to b-schools, I strongly recommend Saagar – there are several consultants out there with a lot of fluff talking about outcomes and narratives, but Saagar will 100% ensure that you present the best version of yourself in a way that’s most unique to you – which is what most b-schools actually want to see.
