Shammi is passionate about helping others tell their story. She believes the MBA admissions process is not just a means to an end, rather a journey of self discovery and finding one’s voice. She takes a holistic view of a candidate’s personal and professional achievements and aspirations, making sure all the pieces of the application work together to create a compelling vision of what the applicant would bring to the MBA classroom.
Shamm’s diverse set of professional experiences across industries, sectors, and geographies allows her to work with candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds. With an MBA from Stanford GSB, Masters in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School, and an BSc from MIT, her academic training spans business, public policy, and engineering.
She began her career as an environmental engineer with AECOM, one of the largest infrastructure engineering firms in the world. However, her love of international development took her back to her home country of Bangladesh to help start a company in water manufacturing. After two years as General Manager of WaterHealth Bangladesh and seeing the fundamental healthcare challenges the rural population faced, she joined a startup called Jeeon to help design a telemedicine platform. That experience ignited a love for product design and user research which led her to work as a design thinking consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Singularity University. A major motivation for applying to Stanford’s MBA program was the school’s close collaboration with the Hasso Plattner School of Design (d.school) where Shammi took advanced courses to deepen her design skills.
Shammi completed the concurrent MBA-MPA/ID degree between Stanford and Harvard in 2018. She is currently a Product Manager at Google in Sunnyvale, CA with a focus on global payments, a role that brings together her love of user-focus, global products, and transformational impact brought about by seamless, digitized payments for billions of people.

Working with Shammi was a great experience. She has a knack for asking the right questions, which helped me refine and evolve my story. Shammi guided me in shaping my application into a cohesive and compelling narrative. Her feedback was always tactical, clear, and actionable, making it easy to implement improvements quickly.
Thanks to her support, I was accepted to Wharton!!
I had the privilege of working with Shammi, and it was truly an inspirational experience. She took the time to dive deep—getting to know me as a person, understanding my passions, motivations, and helping me translate that authentic energy into my MBA essays.
Her approach was incredibly personalized, and her exceptional knowledge of what each school looks for allowed me to make those pivotal tweaks that made all the difference. As a result, I was admitted to 4 out of the 6 schools I applied to, with scholarships!
Beyond the outcomes, this process gave me a deeper understanding of who I am, what I stand for, and how I want to shape the next two years of my MBA journey. I can’t recommend Vantage Point enough!
Shammi asks very insightful questions and listens very curiously. She is good at summarizing and synthesizing key themes about your profile and story and ensuring you reflect those in your application and essays (and keeps you honest). In her feedback on essays, she is very tactical, actionable, and pointed which allows for easy and direct improvement after she reviews the draft.
Shammi was an excellent guide and partner through the application process. As a dual MBA/MPP candidate, I particularly appreciated Shammi’s clear-sightedness and knowledge of both processes to help me stay organized and comfortably meet all of the deadlines. Together we thought through “Why MBA?” / “Why MPP?” / “Why X school?”, with Shammi asking thought-provoking questions and listening closely to help me turn jumbled thoughts into a clear and successful application story.
Shammi was great to work with! She did a great job helping me shape a compelling, authentic story up front, and then was very responsive as we iterated to convert that story into a set of cohesive essays. With her help, I was accepted into HBS! I highly recommend Shammi to anyone and everyone looking for admissions support.
As a non-traditional applicant applying to MBA programs, I found Shammi’s feedback extremely helpful in presenting my story in the best way possible. She helped me identify unique aspects of my job that I took for granted. With Shammi’s help, I got into my dream school – MIT Sloan this fall. She is patient, insightful, and extremely helpful! Thank you, Shammi!
I worked with Shammi on my HKS application, and she was extremely helpful. Shammi helped me go from initial ideas to fully polished essays in less than three weeks. Her review helped me refine while still staying authentic to my original story.
