As part of my entrepreneurial experience, I co-founded and built LiveKampus.com, an innovative service for university students looking to live off-campus. Livekampus provides a simple cloud-based, housing intel app for schools in Africa, with Nigeria as the pilot. My team of two and I have since gone on to gather over 2000 bed spaces, 1000 registered users, and some amount of booking requests on the platform. As proof of concept, we were part of the 1000 companies selected out of the 50000 companies that registered for the 2017 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurial program, after which we received a $5000 grant to help scale the business.
Following my graduation, my short-term goal will be to gain industry experience in the US mainly transitioning into a technical product management role at a high growth startup or fortune 500 company, after which I intend to go full-time into entrepreneurship. I have a passion for technological innovations and how they can be used to create enabling environments for indigenous entrepreneurs and local products to solve problems for Africa’s ecosystem, which ties into my long-term plan to return to Nigeria and create this reality

Hi, it’s Jennifer Jackson from Stratus Admissions. You have so much to love in your profile! Your impressive entrepreneurial work in tech innovation, helping students and underserved populations in Africa, will be extremely attractive to adcoms. I think Ross would be a great fit. Your GRE is the main challenge I’m seeing here, as it’s substantially lower than the average at Ross. You’re coming from an under-represented demographic so that will be helpful but I would recommend re-taking the GRE if possible and trying to score higher. I also think you should be more explicit about your …

I also think you should be more explicit about your ST and LT goals after the MBA. What I see is your career aspiration, which is nicely worded, but they’ll want to see more clearly exactly what you see yourself doing after school, and how the MBA is integral to that goal. Wishing you lots of luck!
