I’m an LGBTQ, first-generation college student and have parents who are immigrant small business owners. I’ve traveled to ~50 countries and worked abroad in 3 (incl. developed and developing countries). I’m interested in how FinTech can be leveraged as an enablement tool for financial inclusion and SME entrepreneurship (e.g. microloans, crowdsourcing, etc.) around the world.

I’m a former strategy consultant at a tier 2 firm (LEK/OW/Parthenon) who now works in strategy at a midsize commercial bank that primarily serves companies in the innovation economy. Major work win was co-authoring a report with my consulting firm that was published by an leading educational foundation and doing a 6-month exchange at one of my firms’ offices abroad (in a developing country).
I would like to work in the intersection of international development and FinTech by potentially pursuing social enterprise. I’m passionate about travel, culture, and languages and would love a job that takes me abroad.

Hi Mr Global Fintech, this is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions and I am impressed with your background. For HBS, be sure you emphasize the leadership you have. I can see a lot even here—so make sure that comes through in the what MORE they need to know. For GSB, be sure to think big in your goals. Those 2 will be the hardest—I think you could be successful at any of these schools if you put together really strong applications and essays. We’d love to talk to you further if you want to discuss your situation in more depth!
