Hi Ms. Marketing Manager, Lisa Cummings of Stratus Admissions here. While you are in the range of your target schools stats, I am giving you 25% odds now. That may be low but I would need more information give a more accurate estimate. From your blurb, it sounds like you have 3 different roles in the 4 years since you graduated from college. While early in one’s career it is not unusual to make a number of switches, I’d want to know more about what the drivers of those changes were and how you used one role to progress to another. Ditto with your big life wins. What were examples of those tests and multi million dollar impacts? Specifically, what role did you play in those successes? As a former marathon runner myself, I like the fact that you ran for a charitable cause. Kudos to you! However, as a former adcomm at MIT Sloan, I read thousands of marathon stories over the years so I would suggest that you maybe pick a different extracurricular to focus on if possible to give you a better chance of standing out. Who knew there were so many would-be MBAs who also run marathons?! Are you involved in any other extracurricular groups or activities? What about during your time at BC? Often those activities and clubs provide a great opportunity to develop and demonstrate leadership skills, another thing that schools are looking for. With more information and detail, I suspect that your odds will increase. Best of luck!
