Hi Ms. Social Impact AKS, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Sounds like you have had a strong impact on your local community through your volunteer work and your mentorship which all business programs will appreciate. Hi Ms. Social Impact AKS, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Sounds like you have had a strong impact on your local community through your volunteer work and your mentorship which all business programs will appreciate. What I am not getting a sense of from your profile is your leadership experience professionally and would want to dig in here more. What professional experiences will you leverage into a social impact role? What type of company do you want to work at to create a social impact – consumer facing, tech, service oriented? These are the details that really bring your story to life and can make your story sound authentic and be clear on your goals. While each of these programs will value your community experience, you want them to fully understand the professional experience you will bring to the class and how they have built a foundation that you are expanding through business school. Your GRE score gives me a bit of pause for the schools you are looking at – since your score is below the 330 average at Yale. While this is only one piece, without a more clear picture of your professional experience it is tough to gauge. I would consider looking at some other schools with strong ties to social impact like Ross, Duke and UNC to round out your list to increase your odds. Best of luck!
