Nottingham University’s Business School offers an intensive one-year MBA that will help students develop key theoretical concepts, learn how to adapt and use their skills in a practical business environment, and stand out in the competitive job market. Nottingham is centrally located in the UK with excellent transport links to other major cities and famous for being the legendary home of Robin Hood. The city has a thriving business community, with many startups and large corporations nearby.

Nottingham’s MBA offers a rigorous curriculum that covers all aspects of business management. Students learn from highly qualified faculty members who have years of experience in the business world, and the cohort is highly diverse and global, with a strong international focus and attracts students from all over the world.

Key elements of the MBA include the team consulting project, where students will practice consulting a real-world client.

The curriculum incorporates working through real-world projects, interacting with industry professionals, and participating in internships and experiential learning programs. The program places a strong emphasis on personal and professional development, with workshops and seminars on leadership, communication, and other soft skills that are essential for success in today’s business world. MBAs can customize the degree through a range of specializations, including finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation, marketing, and international business.

The B-School offers many optional abroad experiences, but the one required is the International Business Week, where students travel to a different country to learn about its business culture and practices. The trip includes company visits, lectures, and cultural activities.

“Business Practice week was by far one of my favorite parts of the fall semester. I loved the exposure to different industries. Being able to further my education and learn while helping the community – there is no better feeling,” says MBA Jacquelyn Laughlin on Nottingham’s website.

Throughout the degree, MBAs have the support of the MBA Talent Program, which includes workshops on career planning, networking, and job search strategies, as well as personalized coaching and mentoring. The MBA Business Lab is open to MBA students working to develop entrepreneurial projects and their own business ideas. The Business Lab provides access to resources such as mentors, funding opportunities, and workshops on entrepreneurship.

Overall, Nottingham’s MBA program is a challenging and rewarding experience that prepares MBAs for a successful career in business.
