About the Program

Wake Forest’s Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) is recognized as one of the top programs in the country due to its world-class faculty, internship opportunities, and unmatched CPA pass rate success.

Program Format and Schedule

The MSA a two-semester, 30-credit hour master’s degree program that begins in August and graduates in May.

The curriculum* consists of 15 hours of required core coursework, elective coursework options, and provides tracks in Assurance Services, Tax Consulting and Financial Transaction Services (exclusive to Wake Forest).

An optional third semester is available that includes the opportunity to pursue a paid internship—a major benefit of the Wake Forest MSA program. This nine-week paid position provides real-world experience during the busy season. This is great for students who enter the program without previous internship experience or those who want to gain additional experience with a company prior to accepting a full-time offer.

Non-accounting majors are also encouraged to apply. 30% of program graduates enter with majors other than accounting.

**Students who have not completed foundational coursework in accounting and finance are required to complete those courses on the Wake Forest campus during the summer prior to beginning the program in August.
