Blast from the Past:

Is Cheating Up in Business Schools?

Cheating? In business school? Really?

Of course, most business students say that sarcastically. After working for a few years, most MBAs have seen the worst from their peers. They’ve watched them steal ideas, take shortcuts, and knowingly blame others for their failings. Chances are, a few of them will find their way to business school to plagiarize reports and crib off friends. It happens in all walks of life, right?

Indeed it does. In the wake of the 2008 financial collapse, some pundits charge that such amoral slipperiness among business students has dire consequences for everyone else. Question is, how many students are doing it?

According to a 2014 study from Rutgers University, that number is almost irrelevant. In an atmosphere filled with hypercompetitive overachievers, the key questions are, ‘What do students consider cheating’ and ‘why doesn’t anyone report it when they see it?’ To find the answers, click on the link below.
