Consulting: Who’s Happier – MBAs Or Undergrads?

AN ANALYSIS OF THE SAMPLE

By the numbers, there were 2,500 MBAs who completed the Vault Consulting 50 survey, with 64.61% being men and 26.11% being women (The remainder preferred not to answer or self-describe, with .38% calling themselves nonbinary). 63.41% of the MBA sample was Caucasian; Asian (14.54%), Hispanic (4.97%), Black (2.59%), and Multi-Racial (2.11%) participants were also represented (with, again, the remaining 11% declining to answer this question).

The consultants who hold strictly a Bachelor’s degree is slightly more diverse. The 3,636 respondents were divided into 53.02% men and 39.6% women (with the remaining 8.5% declining to furnish a gender). Caucasians accounted for 65.32% of this sample, follow by Asians (14.6%), Hispanics (4.8%), Multi-Racials (3.56%), and Blacks (2.28%).

The whole survey sample covers 9,365 respondents. By gender, it is broken out 57.54% men and 34.28% women. The survey respondents include Caucasians (63.98%), Asians (14.99%), Hispanics (4.63%), Multi-Racials (3.02%), and Blacks (2.53%).
