The International Immersion of 4 weeks duration at SDA Bocconi School of Management is one of the key parts of the IIM Indore’s MBA program curriculum that led me to choose the program. In the latest FT Ranking, SDA Bocconi School of Management is ranked 6th globally. We got an opportunity to spend more than one month in Milan to learn many unique subjects like the Italian way of management, luxury management, Italian Finance Markets, innovation management, and many others. We also had many visits to Italian industries as part of this program. Also, International course experience for this program is ranked 4th in the world in the FT ranking. Through this international experience program, we better understood the European culture and business environment. It helped us in expanding the global network of personal and professional contacts in a significant way. In this program, we can make contacts that can be used later for employment and business opportunities. It also strengthens communication, team-building, and Interpersonal skills. What has been your favorite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Indore? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? Swimming is one of the extracurricular activities that I love the most at IIM Indore. IIM Indore has an Olympic-sized swimming pool that remains open 6 days a week. I used to go swimming every day after class hours. It is one of the relaxing exercises for both mind and body. There are trainers available for swimming to teach us several techniques for swimming. Also, IIM Indore conducts water meditation sessions that help the mind so much after the busy schedule for the day. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My Career has been full of achievements since very early. During the School, I also got 8th Rank in the Regional Mathematics Olympiad, Sponsored by the National Board of Higher Mathematics, Dept. of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. I got 11th Rank in the Talent Search Test in Mathematics. During my graduation days at my college, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, I earned several awards. I got several awards in both Cognizant and Tata Consultancy Services. I got the TCS Contextual Master Award, CLP Faculty Award, and several others from TCS. The list of awards I got in my life is long, but when I look back, I find that my admission to a one-year full-time MBA at the Indian Institute of Management is one of my most significant achievements. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: I joined the MBA program mostly to understand and learn more about Finance and Strategy. One of my most significant achievements is the completion of Financial Accounting and Finance Certification Courses. Here, I received 90% marks from Harvard Business Publishing, a Subsidiary of Harvard Business School. Before joining the program, I was completely aware of what a case study is, but now, whenever we get Harvard standard case studies in the exams, I can solve it in most of the cases. After solving, I feel that to be one of the greatest achievements for me. Something in me changed here. I am in the process of becoming a future leader. What has been your most memorable experience at IIM Indore? Why was it so special? Every day, something unique happens here, something which is memorable. Everything is amazing here, from lying in a swimming pool in the morning or evening to running for classes. The IIM Indore Campus is located at the top of Rau Hills, and the scenic beauty of the campus makes each and every moment spent on the campus memorable. However, when I think of the most memorable experience at my campus, working in groups to complete several group assignments is the most memorable. Each time I start working in a group, I know the importance of teamwork. Anything that looks like a big task gets completed in less time. Along with this, we learned of the life experiences of all others in the group. These experiences are so memorable for me. What do you hope to do after graduation? I have around 11+ years of experience, and I work primarily as a Business Analyst in the role of Assistant Consultant. So, I will initially join a consulting firm after my graduation. I prefer to join a firm in a Management Consulting or Strategic Consulting role. However, in the next 10 or more years, I like to see myself as an integral part of the company and would prefer to move towards the top management CXO roles.
