In the second half of the year, you will be completing an Academy devoted to areas like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Digital Enterprises and more. Which Academy interests you the most and why? The Consulting Academy interests me the most because I come from a financial auditing background. We provide audit opinions to our clients as well as report to management on our various audit findings which helps grow the client’s business and helps to improve on their shortfalls. The Consulting Academy holds the promise of honing my analytical prowess, enabling me to tackle intricate issues whilst leaning on my financial acumen.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Indiana Kelley’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Kelley has an amazing collaborative culture which resonated with me right from the get-go. Everyone I interacted with was ready to help and I knew that I wanted to have my MBA journey within a supportive environment. During my interactions with past and current students, what stood out about Kelley was the school’s involvement in building the personal career development of its students. I am a young Ghanaian woman who has obtained the rare opportunity to receive a world-class education. My main goal is to leverage the skills and exposure gained at the end of the program to make an impact that matters! I have no doubt that the Kelley community is the right place to receive the requisite support on this journey.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Indiana Kelley? As an avid supporter of more women leading, I look forward to joining the Kelley Women in Business Club because as Robert Ingersoll said, “We rise by lifting others.” Again, as a true foodie, I would never pass down an opportunity to sample good food from diverse cultures and thus, I would be thrilled to hop on this experience with the Kelley Food Club.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: The biggest accomplishment in my career so far is getting promoted twice in the span of eight months within the same year. Due to my resilient nature, I went above and beyond to take charge in leading an audit engagement which was complex and beyond my responsibilities as an audit associate. I delivered and met the client’s expectations leading to overall client satisfaction.

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? My goal post-MBA is to become a management consultant where I can effectively utilize the knowledge, skills, network, and resources that I will acquire in Kelley to make an impact in the African community.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Indiana Kelley’s MBA program? As you embark on this journey think about who you are. What are your strengths, weaknesses, passions, and values? Reflect on what you have learned throughout your professional career, education and working in a team. How can Kelley help you get to where you want to be is a reflection that will establish your career trajectory? Network with alumni and current students on their Kelley journey and determine if it will be an excellent fit for you.
