P&Q: How does your program integrate other disciplines, such as the liberal arts and STEM, across your curriculum to provide students with a more interdisciplinary experience in business school?

Stabile: “Our curriculum is designed to expose students to multiple disciplines. For example, we combine rigorous finance and strategy foundations with courses that draw on psychology and technology studies. The expansion of our AI-related offerings is a recent illustration of this approach, ensuring that MBAs can develop cross-disciplinary skills to understand business in its full societal and technological context.

We also integrate core courses that deepen students’ understanding of the relationship between business and society – a crucial context in an increasingly fragmented global landscape. In Period 3, MBA students take “Business and Society” courses on Ethics, Political Environment, and Public Policy, which explore how businesses navigate social responsibility, engage with regulatory and political systems, and address market and policy challenges. Students learn to approach business challenges with a ‘societal-focused’ mindset – preparing them to lead responsibly and create value not only for organisations but also for society at large.”

P&Q: What are two ways that your program is incorporating Artificial Intelligence into your programming? How do they better prepare students for the future world of work?

Stabile: “First, our curriculum now includes a full suite of electives on AI — from technical fundamentals to applications in entrepreneurship and sustainability. These courses also explore the ethical and governance dimensions of AI, helping students understand not just how to use these tools, but how to lead responsibly in an AI-enabled world.

Second, we bring AI into our research and cross-curricular activities. The INSEAD Human and Machine Intelligence Institute (HUMII) is focused on promoting faculty-led research and thought leadership that explores how AI is transforming business and society. On top of this we are offering practical support for business leaders and entrepreneurs, helping them embrace the potential of AI through initiatives like the AI Venture Lab.”

P&Q: What types of educational and career support do you provide to alumni after graduation? How does it make them more valuable to employers during their careers?

Stabile: “The value of the INSEAD MBA extends far beyond graduation. Our alumni are supported by a comprehensive Lifelong Learning programme, which offers both digital and in-person opportunities to refresh skills, explore new fields, and stay ahead of business trends. This includes online and in-person masterclasses, live and on-demand webinars, faculty-led pop-up programmes around the world, and access to a curated library of thought leadership.

We also provide career development resources at every stage, from mid-career transitions to executive coaching and sector-specific workshops. Coupled with one of the world’s largest alumni networks — currently more than 72,000 members across nearly 200 countries — these opportunities enable our INSEAD graduates to keep advancing, whether they are switching functions, moving across industries, or stepping into C-suite roles.

This commitment to lifelong learning and community ensures that the INSEAD MBA is not just a one-year experience, but a platform that delivers value for the rest of a graduate’s career. Alumni are able to continuously sharpen their skills, adapt to new challenges, and bring fresh perspectives back to their organisations, making them more resilient and valuable to employers at every stage of their professional journey.”
