Lindy should be your go-to MBA Consultant. She is extremely knowledgeable about the application process. What I was most impressed with was her responsiveness and flexibility. I felt as though I started the process for R1 applications last minute but Lindy prioritized quick responses to my questions and very timely review of my application materials so that I was able to submit everything comfortably on time. Lindy is also very kind; every interaction with her was a pleasure. I was accepted to Columbia Business School Class of 2026 and cannot thank Lindy enough for her helpful guidance throughout the application process.
Working with Lindy was a seamless experience during my MBA application journey to CBS J-Term. Not only was she incredibly responsive and dedicated, but she also made the entire process feel effortless, thanks to her easy-going and approachable demeanor. The guidance she provided on my essays was both insightful and transformative, elevating my narratives to a higher level of clarity and impact. Throughout the entire process, I felt confident and supported, with the reassuring sense that I was in the best hands. With Lindy’s expertise and unwavering commitment, I’m thrilled to be embarking on a new chapter at CBS. I wholeheartedly recommend Lindy to anyone seeking a trusted and personable advisor in their MBA admissions journey.
Lindy was an incredible resource, she helped me stay motivated and organized during the application process. She is responsive and never too busy with her clients. I was so thankful to have been referred to her and will absolutely recommend her to my friends applying to business school.
Because of Lindy, I was accepted into HBS, as well as Ross, Darden, NYU, Sloan, and Haas with 75%+ scholarships at each. Before working with Lindy, I was overwhelmed with the MBA application process. I struggled with the structure and confidence to deem an essay “done.” Lindy went above and beyond: from being a sounding board for my ideas to essay reviews and even providing interview prep. She continuously checked in, offering encouragement ahead of submissions, keeping me on track toward deadlines, and celebrating my wins as they came. Lindy is genuinely invested in the success of those she works with, and it shows in the care she exercises in every detail and each step along the way, well beyond essays. The many scholarships I received after working with Lindy more than made up for the fees. I highly recommend Lindy to anyone looking to start their MBA application journey!
Lindy was such an amazing resource throughout my MBA application journey. She was my biggest cheerleader and helped me to put together an application that I was truly proud of. She is always available and very timely in providing feedback. In many cases, she was the positive reinforcement that I needed to get through the process. With her help, I was accepted with scholarships to Wharton, Kellogg, Darden (full tuition), and Georgetown McDonough.
The MBA application process can be stressful and overwhelming. Lindy is a godsend, and I highly recommend her to be anyone’s MBA coach. Lindy will coach you on thinking through your essays and develop strategies to enhance your application based on your circumstances. I received offers with full rides to UVA Darden, NYU, and Cornell; this would not have been possible without Lindy. Even when you are at your lowest points in the process and doubt kicks in, Lindy will hold you accountable and get you back in the game. Lindy is incredible and is invested in your success just as much as you are. Lindy’s efforts and commitment have impacted not only my life but my family’s life, as I will be the first in my family to attend a world-class MBA program. Thank you, Lindy and Ivy Advisors, for everything!
Lindy really went above and beyond to help me prepare my application. I think she was particularly helpful in providing the perspective of a Columbia Business School alum. With her help and feedback, I felt I was able to write very compelling essays that demonstrated a strong mutual fit and showed I had done my research on CBS. Moreover, throughout the process, Lindy had the utmost confidence in me and that really pushed me to put my best foot forward and believe that I could actually get in. For anyone looking to hire a consultant for MBA admissions, Lindy should be your go-to.
I highly recommend Lindy!! She is incredibly kind and personable, and her advice and guidance have been so helpful on my MBA journey. She is thoughtful, easily accessible, and very responsive. I initially was just looking for someone to read over a few of my essays, but Lindy went above in beyond in how she thought about my overall strategy and helped me craft my approach for working with my recommenders. It’s been so nice feeling like I’ve been able to work with someone who has my back and has helped me do my best work in this process!
I started my MBA journey with very little knowledge of the application process and Lindy’s guidance was invaluable. She completely devotes herself to learning your story and teaching you how to make that story compelling to admissions committees. There were many points in my application process where I lacked confidence in my ability to get into any program. By the time I finished working with Lindy, I was accepted into many schools with great scholarship opportunities. As I am now starting my MBA program, I’m realizing that Lindy’s guidance prepared me well beyond the application process. Her advice, along with the advice of her many connections, has given me a huge advantage in the recruiting process for future career opportunities.
I was admitted to GSB/HBS/Wharton and I could not have done it without Lindy’s help! She was incredibly organized and thoughtful and was my biggest cheerleader throughout the process. She helped me think through my future and shape my story. She was always available to support and encourage me whether I was taking the GMAT or preparing for my interviews. She was instrumental in ensuring that my story and authentic self came through in my application. I could not thank her enough for giving me the confidence and making the application process seamless. I will truly miss working with Lindy, she is an incredible person and thought partner.
Lindy truly helped me create the best application possible for each and every school. I received offers from 7 different schools (Tuck, CBS, Wharton, Cornell, Yale, NYU, and Ross) and Lindy was there the entire time to walk me through each and every part of the process. She helped me navigate my personal story and stuck with me all the way to interview prepping and college decision-making. I don’t think I would have been able to draft such compelling essays without her help and would recommend her without a doubt.
I worked with Ivy Advisors for my HBS application and the help offered was without a doubt invaluable. During the essay exploration/writing phase, the process was very introspective and I was able to flesh out the story I would ultimately tell in my essay. I will admit, however, that my assigned coach was a bit slow to respond at times and when I was invited to interview, I brought this to Lulu’s attention and she was incredibly understanding and generous. To make up for this, she went beyond the services I paid for and offered me two free mock interviews with two separate experienced coaches, both were wonderful (s/o to Coach Sarah and Coach Alana!). This proved to be the game-changer in my preparation because they tailored their questions around themes that matched what my HBS interviewer ultimately asked. After my interview, Lulu reached out to check how I felt about the interview, which I appreciated! All in all, I would recommend Ivy Advisors to any prospective MBA applicant. Lulu and her team really know their stuff and it showed every step of the way! Thanks again!
Where to even start. Thanks to Lindy’s expertise and support, I was admitted to all three of the Top 5 programs I applied to and received scholarship offers from two. I couldn’t be prouder of the application materials we developed together. Lindy’s brainstorming process gave me an unbelievable level of clarity and direction in my essay writing, and we kept revising until the end products were flawless. When interviews rolled around, she helped me understand exactly what to expect, workshopped key answers, and was eerily accurate in predicting the background-specific curveball questions I’d be asked. Most importantly, she helped me to feel confident and comfortable, and I walked into those interviews at my absolute best. Thinking back to the beginning, Lindy has been an incredible partner and advisor from day one. I’m so thankful for her down-to-earth, clear-eyed perspective on how to navigate this gigantic life decision. She helped me with questions ranging from which programs to apply to and in which rounds, who to request recommendations from, and when, whether to take the GMAT again or just move on with my life… Lindy, thank you for your positivity and impeccable standards. You are so talented. I don’t know how yet, but I’m going to figure out some way for us to work together again.
It was such a pleasure working with Alana in crafting my CV and essays for my grad school applications. She was very responsive, available for impromptu chats, and I felt she was truly “invested” in my story and how to best bring it to life in the essays/resume. Was ultimately admitted to the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and am grateful for having been paired with Alana through Ivy Advisors in preparing my applications!
Lulu was an amazing guide throughout the entire process! She first gets to know who you are, understands your background, aspirations and goals to best position your profile for the schools you are applying to. Still, what I found most helpful is that she pushes you to dig deeper into who you are and why are you applying, this led me to highlight things that I never even thought of highlighting. She is there for any questions or doubts throughout the process and gives you honest feedback. I could not recommend her enough.
Alana was an incredible coach and mentor, always going above and beyond to help me best position myself in my best possible light. Through her guidance, I was able to manageably navigate the application processes for HBS and Stanford GSB, both of which ultimately admitted me. She was always happy to rearrange her schedule to accommodate my needs throughout the application process, making me feel like a priority. Her advice was impeccable and a huge difference-maker for my applications. She was incredibly responsive as well, regularly being able to chat at a moment’s notice. I cannot recommend her enough!
I really enjoyed working with Lulu and am very grateful for her help throughout this process! I would highly recommend her and Ivy Advisors to anyone going through the MBA application process.
From the start, Lulu took the time to deeply understand my story and guided me to think through how to best frame it. I had many ideas and she spent a lot of time discussing each with me until I felt comfortable that I had pinpointed the most authentic story that really drove into who I am. She is incredibly candid in her feedback, and really pushed me to write the best version of my story even if it took more iterations. She also helped me think specifically for each school what I wanted to highlight in a way that captured the nuances of the different programs. Lulu was very accessible, responded quickly, and always had very thorough and well-thought-out responses to my questions. She was also incredibly helpful in preparing for interviews! Ultimately, I was admitted into HBS, Wharton, and Sloan and I’m confident that she helped me put my best foot forward.
Alana has keen insights and expertise on building a stellar resume and helping the candidate really show their true selves in the essays. Her turnaround time on the different documents I sent her way was impressive and went above and beyond to check in on the next steps if I was taking too long to send over a deliverable. From a cost perspective, I recommend candidates who have their GMAT and initial resume/essay drafts in order to make the best use of time.
I had the pleasure of working with Lindy throughout my application experience. Anyone who has applied to MBA programs knows how daunting the process can be but Lindy made it so simple and organized our time together in a way that was extremely efficient.
Even when I was dealing with personal matters and conflicting priorities, Lindy remained supportive and diligent with me; providing me the structure I needed without being forceful or insensitive. She was extremely thoughtful and really took time to get to know me in order to help me craft my story; getting me admitted to all my top choices. I had a really great experience working with her.
Ivy Advisors was extremely helpful to me through the MBA application process and I highly recommend the services they provide. I was concerned that my test scores were not as high as I had hoped and Lulu guided me to put together applications that fully represented me. She gave me the confidence I needed and helped me discover the unique parts of my background and story. We worked through numerous revisions on essays until we both thought they were just right. I was accepted at the two schools I applied to and am so glad Lulu helped get me there.
I was matched with Alana through Ivy Advisor’s Ivy Scholars Programs. First off – I’m so grateful to Ivy Advisor for providing a program like Ivy Scholars. As someone who works in a nonprofit most of my career, I didn’t have a lot of savings but knew I wanted to invest some money to ensure I didn’t have to reapply next year. The Ivy Scholars program allowed me to have some support (3 schools) without paying the amount of money I would have had I gone through another service. I knew what schools I wanted to apply to (you will be asked as part of the application process), so I didn’t need that support from her.
Overall, I’m so thankful for Alana’s support. My essays were one area that I knew I would struggle with the most (particularly with some school essays). Alana was able to provide very specific feedback that really made me push my thinking. She was always eager to ensure I understood why she was giving the feedback that she was and made sure I understood the next steps I had to take. Overall, she really helped me to ensure my voice and story were captured in my essays.
Applying to business schools has definitely been one of the most challenging things I’ve done. Between working full-time, studying for the GMAT, speaking with students, and writing essays, things can get overwhelming pretty quickly. Alana helped me keep sane and on track, and I am so excited to share I was accepted to three schools – UCLA, Ross, and Wharton!
My experience with Lulu at Ivy Advisors has been nothing short of stellar! I had the pleasure of working closely with Lulu and Christine, they helped me tell my story and put my best foot forward applying to competitive MBA programs I got accepted to Haas!
When choosing an MBA consultant, it’s very important you are getting expert advice from someone who knows the process inside and out, and that is where Ivy Advisors really set themselves apart!
Leaning on their first-hand experience, Lulu and Christine gave me the straight talk I needed to avoid common pitfalls along the way, and taught me insider tips and tricks, like how to make your knowledge of the program really shine through and how to highlight the most unique and strangest aspects of your story!
When it comes time to choose an MBA consultant I highly recommend Ivy Advisors!
I worked with Alana for >6 months on a sensitive career pivot. Her dedication, knowledge, and candor were instrumental in allowing me to sequence my transition from one industry to another. Alana continued to go above and beyond throughout the process – promptly providing resume feedback, taking the extra time to go over interview prep, and counseling me through offer negotiation. I recommend her to all of my friends, who have had similar experiences! 10/10.
So thankful for Ivy Advisors and the role Lulu’s team (shout out to Coach Christine) played in my MBA journey. Coming from a non-traditional background (teaching and school operations), lower-end stats (i.e. GPA, GMAT score), and being an older candidate (31+), I struggled with battling the infamous imposter syndrome! Coach Christine was there to get me back together and guide me throughout it all. The why MBA question was tough to put together, but she was able to ask great questions to dig in deeper on my WHY. Ultimately, I was able to get my story down and share my passion for public education in my essays. Grateful to say that I had a successful outcome in the end and wouldn’t have been able to get there without Coach Christine and Lulu’s team!
Lulu was amazing to work with. Not only did she do a fantastic job finding ways to make my application stand out, but she also was incredibly responsive whenever I needed her. From initial brainstorming of ideas to crafting essays and then interview prep, I was blown away at the level of detail and thoughtfulness she put into my application. I cannot thank her enough and would recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch consultant.
I’m not sure I would have found the success if it wasn’t for Lindy! She was fantastic and helped in every aspect of the application, even in areas that I wasn’t even thinking about.
She had a detailed plan and time schedule starting with organizing my resume and later organizing and tailoring my essays to be much more school-specific while still being genuine. Just when I was feeling good with our progress, she wanted to take it another layer deeper to make sure it was perfect. For the interview process, one of my weakest areas, she was INCREDIBLE at helping me find the confidence I needed.
Finally, I also was amazed by the amount of time and interest Lindy took in crafting my story and getting to know me personally. Not only did it help me put together the best application I possibly could have, but it also made me look within and really think about what drives me.
Net/net, I was admitted to my top choice with a significant scholarship. Being from a low-income/first-gen background – this is an incredibly life-changing event for me. I could not recommend Lindy enough!
I had a fantastic experience working with Lulu. I started my MBA application journey not sure how to express my goals and story.
From the first phone call, Lulu started helping me tie together my experiences, and helping me think through the themes that were the most important to me. Ivy Advisors provided all the necessary materials I needed to brainstorm and I knew I could trust Lulu with any question. Lulu was there to support me for resume building, advice on how to approach recommenders, questions on whether I should re-take the GMAT, how to answer the short answer questions on an application, how to cut 50 words off my essay, and how to improve my mock interview performance.
She was quick to respond to all my questions and I could tell she put in a LOT of thinking into each essay feedback. Lulu was exceptional at identifying my strengths and making them shine in my application. At the same time, she helped me work through the weaker portions of my application.
I entered the MBA application process with high ambitions (only M7s) but very little insight into the application process. After feeling stressed from the uncertainty, I looked into partnering with a consultant and was referred to Lulu by a coworker. From the start, I knew I’d made the absolute right choice – MBA candidacy is more than just GPA, GMAT, and work experience, and Lulu’s guidance was a game changer! She helped highlight aspects of my background that I thought weren’t relevant for MBA apps, but turned out to be critical in building a well-rounded narrative. In addition, she was an invaluable resource when it came to strategizing, as having all the talking points is only half the battle – putting everything together in a compelling, concise framework is really what sets a candidate apart.
I was fortunately accepted to my #1 choice and will be off to Cambridge to join Sloan’s class of 2023! I’m really excited about the next two years and I don’t think it was possible without Lulu’s help!
LULU IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Not only was I admitted into Wharton, but I also received a very substantial merit-based scholarship! After feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the MBA process in the months leading up to the application deadline, I decided to seek professional guidance. While I was initially wary about the idea of working with a consultant, my first conversation with Lulu quickly eased any worries. She was very professional, always provided direct feedback in a VERY timely manner, and forced me to dig deeper when articulating my story. Lulu and her team are organized, structured, and most importantly, they do an amazing job of tailoring your sessions around your individual story, profile, and needs. If you are searching for a consultant to take your candidacy to the next level, LOOK NO FURTHER. Lulu & IVY Advisors will provide you with the tools you need to succeed!
I decided to apply for multiple MBA programs with a VERY short time frame, and I mean genuinely short. I knew that because of this I had no time to mess around so after consulting with all my network it was clear that Lulu was the person for the job.
What I like best about her is that she’s not only a fantastic advisor as the rest of her 5-star reviews will show, but she’s also an incredible time manager (and boy did I needed that). I was working full time and finishing another M.S. and she kept me on track with reminders and reaching out directly when necessary.
Believe me when I tell you this, applying to MBA programs is not just about being able to write an essay or having a good GMAT score. The biggest part of it is juggling all the requirements at the same time and no one does time management like Lulu does.
At the end, I got accepted to my dream program and I only have Lulu to thank for that. Give her a try and feel free to email me to thank me later!
I worked with Lulu and found her to be a great mentor and a wonderful coach.
I learned a lot about myself because of the way Lulu approached our work together. She was very professional and her feedback was always straightforward and constructive. She was instrumental in helping me identify my story. She did this by talking to me and getting to know me. She would ask pointed questions and was able to highlight stories that brought to light a cohesive theme.
I definitely recommend working with Lulu’s team at Ivy Advisors. Their coaching allowed me to see what I knew about my candidacy through an MBA-experienced lens. Their process convinced me that I could get into top schools.
Ivy Advisors’ coaches know what it takes to get into a top program because they have gone through the journey.
Ultimately, you will have to put in the work. If you decide to work with Lulu’s firm, know that the coaching you will receive is of top quality and will allow you to put your best self forward in an application.
I met Lindy through mutual friends and when she found out I was interested in getting an MBA, she made herself available to me immediately. My road to the MBA was long and included switching from the GMAT to the GRE and really honing in on my story. Lindy was there the whole time advising me on strategies to beat the test and helping me craft and create the perfect essay to capture what I wanted my applications to reflect. She was honest, patient, and efficient – I loved working with her!
Pressed against time and against all odds, Lindy took on the challenge to work with me and get my application ready in a matter of two weeks! Yes, I said two weeks! I will never forget our first call, her attentiveness to hear my story and understand where I come from was essential to crafting a strong application. She is EXTREMELY organized and has an outline strategy, so that we don’t waste any time and have all our work complete. She was so invested in my process that she even had her partner, family, and friends cheering me on. I felt so much love and support. Without a doubt, her heart is all in! Lindy – words can never come close to my gratitude. You helped get a first-generation Latinx get admitted not only to a top 10 MBA program but also receive a Dean’s Fellowship in ROUND 3! We truly achieved what seemed nearly impossible! Gracias!
Lindy is amazing! It was tough applying to MBA programs from a non-business background. Lindy made a brand new process super approachable and was able to help craft my story and make sense of my career path. She helped me develop an application strategy for each program I applied to and coached me throughout the interview process. She was kind, personable, understanding, and really took the time to get to know me and my background. I would work again with her in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again!
Lulu and her team undeniable experts in this space. I’ll start with the broader team and then go into Lulu, who was my advisor, as she has become a close mentor and trusted sounding board even after this application process.
**Program:** Trust their process. I their candor and honesty throughout the process. They will definitely work with everything you have (and more that you didn’t even know you had) to propel you to get you where you want to go. Every component of the process, from start to finish, is methodically structured to help applicants get organized, focused, and prepared to build and tailor their stories around the schools they’re applying to. The program has embedded deadlines for each component of the application – including brainstorming deliverables which I thought were some of the most valuable exercises in terms of writing the essays. This piece of the writing process is foundation for pretty much all your essays. The brainstorming piece actually takes a month where you work 1:1 with your advisor to really pull out the key pieces to outline your essays. I can’t stress enough how valuable this initial upfront investment in time was for me. Lulu, who was my advisor, worked 1:1 with me to elaborate on parts of my essays that I wouldn’t have picked up on had I gone through this process on my own. Lulu and her team truly experts in this process and it extends to every part of the application including your resume, recommenders and recommendations packages, and even the interview phase. The interview prep phase was also incredibly robust and prepared me to really make sure I was putting my best foot forward.
**Lulu:** Lulu is amazing. I actually wasn’t planning to apply for the class of 2022 because I didn’t think I had enough time to prepare my story to get seriously considered by HBS, GSB, or Wharton. After speaking with Lulu she motivated me to go for it and actually just focus on HBS and GSB. I was a bit skeptical at first but once I started the process, she really helped me realize that her motivation was fact-based and she actually did think I could put something together to get considered. These personal statements get quite personal so Lulu and I got to know each other quite well, which is actually very important when it comes to interview prep because the advice is tailored to your specific strengths/weaknesses and their in-depth knowledge of the interview process. Lulu helped me get into HBS, which was my dream school. I’ve gained so much trust in her insights and expertise and she’s known on the advisory board of an education startup I’m leading while on deferral from HBS (I deferred because of COVID). Lulu was also someone I spoke to about my decision to defer and she was instrumental in helping me think about my options in the right way.
Lindy offers clear communications and strong support throughout the application process. Having been through the process herself, as well as her vast experience working in recruiting and admissions, Lindy was able to be empathetic to the process while providing concrete guidance. Some of the most helpful parts were talking through my motivations for applying to business school, identifying good fit schools, reviewing my applications, and preparing for interviews. As a result, I was accepted to every top program I applied to, including a full-ride offer to an Ivy League school.
I was introduced to Lulu and Ivy Advisors by a friend that was also on the business school path. During our first discussions, Lulu took the time to listen to my story, goals, and to give me valuable feedback regarding my expectations. Since I came from a non-traditional background, I really wanted to partner with an advisor that understood the value of my experience and that could help me synthesize my story to ensure I had a cohesive story. Lulu and the team gave me the roadmap and tools in order to be successful. Even though I did not get as great of a score as I wanted to, the discipline and prep that Ivy Advisors gave me, led me to interview at both the GSB and Sloan (and I even got a scholarship with Sloan!). I honestly believe that I would have not been a successful candidate without Ivy Advisors. I am thankful for their passion, how accessible they were throughout the whole process, and how they never gave up on me even in moments when I lost hope (dreadful post-test blues). Instead, they gave me hope and helped me push forward! The Ivy Advisors team treats you as individuals, they don’t have an agenda – they truly care about each applicant – and I felt that. I will ALWAYS recommend Ivy Advisors to anyone on their B-school journey. I am incredibly thankful for all of their relentless support! Look no further if you want to be a successful business school applicant.
I started the application process with the intention to DIY everything myself as I was only applying to HBS and Wharton. However, in December I found myself stressing out while working a 60+ hrs fulltime job and trying to get higher GMAT scores and start on the essays. My friend who got into HBS last year recommended me to work with Lulu so that I could manage the process more smoothly. I did not call any other consultants after I spoke to Lulu since she just simply sounded right to me.
I worked with Lulu on an hourly basis. She had been so efficient and pushed me to thinker harder and deeper in my “soul searching” process. She not only helped me with the grammar and eloquence of the sentences but also guided me to tell my story in different ways that would cater to each school.
Although I didn’t get into HBS, I got into Wharton with a decent amount of scholarship. In hindsight, if I were to work with Lulu with a “complete package” from July or earlier, I probably would have got into HBS…
Lulu is the BEST! She took her time with me and guided me through my thought process. Her approach is unlike any other as she encourages, pushes you, and checks on you whenever she has not heard updates. I appreciate her jumping on the phone when I needed her the most and available even through the holidays. Her help encouraged me and allowed me to cross the finish line. All of my colleagues I send to Lulu and it’s because of attention to detail and personal approach.
Beyond getting good professional advice, I valued working with someone who believed in me and cheered me on with unwavering conviction. Lulu was that person. She took the time to understand my goals and my story and served as a quasi-life coach throughout the entire process. In the end, I got into my dream school and learned a lot about myself in the process of introspection
Lulu and her team are incredible! I received acceptance from my dream school, Stanford, in addition to receiving acceptance to Wharton, Kellogg, Haas, Anderson, and Ross – all with close to full-tuition merit scholarships (with the exception of Stanford which does not offer merit scholarships). I attribute this success to the Ivy Advisors Team and their personalized dedication to their clients. Lulu worked closely with me to help me hone in on my strengths and better message my opportunity areas. She invested ample time to understand who I was as a person to better help me develop my genuine application story. Lulu and the Ivy Advisors team truly invest their time, energy, and heart into each of their clients. The team is fast, effective, and completely candid. What I appreciate most about Lulu is that not only does she invest in your application, she invests in you as an individual, making sure you have the resources to succeed beyond the business school application process. I have referred several colleagues and friends to Lulu – all of whom have gotten into remarkable business schools themselves.
I only applied to one dream school and was accepted!
What I enjoyed the most working with her is being able to identify my true self. She structured sessions and asked questions that allowed me to think through who I am. She was a life and career coach. Honestly, these sessions alone were worth the investment. Getting into a top MBA school made it even better.
Throughout the process, she was always available and quick to respond. Her feedback was honest and straight to the point. I was able to package up my application within three weeks, despite my hectic work schedule.
If you want to work with someone sincere, transparent, effective, and supportive, look no further.
“You have to do the work.”
I was a repeat applicant. Once I started working with Lulu’s team I was pushed to think deeply about why I want and need an MBA. I was afraid to “speak my truth” and Lulu helped me find concise narratives that were both true to me and my community while also using frames that admissions staff could easily understand.
In my first cycle I spent more time thinking about studying for the GMAT and penning essays than actually working on them. The accountability Lulu and her team bake into our processes force us to be honest about how we spend our time.
Most powerfully, she believed in me more than I believed in myself. This “gauntlet” of a process initially pushed me to be cynical. But with the community and support infrastructure Ivy Advisors has built I was always reminded “I can do this”.
Now I am part of the Chicago Booth community and am excited to support future Ivy Advisor pre-MBA applicants!
I’ll first begin with the broader Ivy Advisors team and state that they are unified, specific, organized, and share a meaningful perspective in an additive way. Across the minor contact I have had with other members in the organization who were not Lulu, I felt taken care of and like I was a priority.
Now, with respect to Lulu. She is more than a consultant. While I received the necessary preparation and guidance for my essays, applications, and recommendations, a bulk of the time I spent to Lulu was on strategizing and planning. We spent hours across days and weeks think through how to optimize the most out of my application and being introspective as well as my work experience which became challenging at times given the full workload I had as junior private equity professional. Lulu is always available, regardless of her being based out of the west coast (email or text). She is well studied, takes genuine time to learn about her fellows and beings to decipher trends in your story, educational, and work experiences that help you compose a strong application and packet. She also helps you see your blind spots, her relationship with several alums and admissions personnel is a differentiator because it provides unique access and insight into the process. Lastly, Lulu is a problem solver, this because evident as I hit a challenging moment in my process, and she found a solution. This is what you should expect from Lulu who is an HBS alumnus, problem-solving, high engagement, strong management of your process and room for vulnerability. I highly recommend her service.

Lulu and her team always provided pragmatic feedback and a clear path forward throughout my application journey. As someone who worked across multiple job functions/industries, I was anxious about how to coherently present my experiences. Lulu was able to draw out my unique elements and very effectively guided me to craft my personal story. By working with Lulu, I was able to prepare a package that I felt was both truly authentic, and the best push for my candidacy.
After dozens of calls with consultants that all started to sound the same, a friend recommended I reach out to Lulu, and it didn’t take long before I could hear the uniqueness in her approach and caring for me (and my application) as an individual. Go to Lulu if you want the following, which you can’t get anywhere else: 1. An individual approach to YOU and YOUR story. This seems obvious, but most consultants I spoke to couldn’t tell me anything about my story back to me after hour+ long “consultations”, and they were all ready to throw me into the same worksheets and frameworks they throw their other hundreds of applicants. Lulu heard my story and immediately understood how to put it on paper in a very specific way that worked for me before we were even officially working together. She also worked with me to put together a consultation package that worked for me and better targeted the time necessary for my application. 2. A true team approach, not just a single consultant assigned to your file – where reviews would have notes from multiple editors and advice/practice would come from a holistic team matched up for the most appropriate pieces of the application. 3. Someone that goes above and beyond and beyond – You will definitely see if you work with her. Thanks to Lulu and her team, I was accepted to HBS and could not have been happier with the support I received to confidently get there. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Working with Lulu and the Ivy Advisors team gave me the confidence to apply to top MBA programs and completely elevated all aspects of my applications. Lulu’s support covers the entire application – she helped me transform my resume, essays, and interviewing skills. More importantly, she pushed me to dive deep to truly understand my motivations and accomplishments which was key in being able to tell an authentic, compelling story.
Lulu was also very quick to give feedback on essays and other documents (typically within hours) helping me meet my Round 1 application deadlines. I also could not have done it without her honesty and direct feedback.
In retrospect, I would 100% work with Lulu again. Thanks to her and her team I was accepted into HBS, Wharton, and Sloan!
I heard about Lulu through a friend from Venezuela who recommended her Ivy Fellows GMAT Program. I joined her class in desperation after being stuck for 1yr+. Just in two months, I was able to increase my GMAT score by 100 points!
Lulu continued to help me throughout my business school application journey after I was done with the test. I always wanted to go to Harvard Business School but the reality is that I did not believe my profile and background were good enough to apply. However, Lulu made me feel I had everything needed to succeed in the application process. This was definitely not just business for her; she REALLY put her heart into every essay, resume, or recommendation revision she sent me back (even after revision #50…). It was stressful to think deeply about my motivations, goals, career aspirations, but thanks to Lulu’s mentorship and coaching I was able to dig deep and put my best application forward. If it wasn’t for her, I would have never applied to HBS.
Lulu is a professional when it comes to MBA applications and career coaching but this is not what impressed me the most about her. She inspired me to believe that I could get in and to be more confident about my accomplishments. This world is much better because of people like Lulu and the whole Ivy Advisors team. Thank you for the amazing experience.
Lulu was my MBA coach and she helped me in invaluable ways. First, she is highly knowledgeable about the application process. Second, she actually cares about her clients and pushes back when something isn’t working. Lastly, she works with the army of a team, instead of being a stand along consultant working in a vacuum. The Ivy Advisors team-based model is something that truly helped me in my application process. Thank you all!!!
