Hi, I’m Britt. As a professional development coach, I help my clients uncover their defining characteristics, their deepest values, and their future desires so that they can make choices they are proud of and get what they want out of their lives and careers. I love hearing people’s stories, and I believe everyone has a unique perspective to tell. Working with me means you’ll be more self-aware, self-confident, and excited about whatever you’re doing next.
After undergrad at Georgetown and my MBA at HBS, I worked in the Bay Area startup scene. I led a licensing business and managed 200 client relationships for a fast-growing food tech company. Before business school, I spent three years at Monitor Deloitte working in strategy consulting for clients across pharmaceutical, industrial, consumer products, and non-profit industries. Whether you’re just starting to think about an MBA or know exactly where you want to go, I would love to help you through the process.
At MBA Protocol, we believe that creating a life of meaning, impact, and fulfillment is the only outcome that justifies the significant investment of time & money required to earn your MBA. We also know that to be truly sustainable, your MBA must align with your post-MBA career goals and that many of you are wondering about the return on your investment.
When you’re thinking about ROI, we urge you to think about total return. Think pay plus purpose.
Your individual path to purpose will be unique; no two will be alike. But the most successful MBA journeys require these three things: deep personal reflection, values definition, and communication skill-building. And, yes, that begins in the application process.
All our programs at MBA Protocol are designed to help you gain breakthrough MBA admissions results and prepare in advance for MBA recruiting. Only by beginning with the end in mind can you truly maximize the ROI in both increased earnings and joy and fulfillment throughout your post-MBA career.

The first time I hopped on a call with Britt, I knew she was the consultant I wanted to work with. Applying to Bschool was extremely daunting for me and Britt’s friendly demeanor and can-do attitude were exactly what I needed to keep me going, After I completed Career Protocol’s self-discovery exercise, I was amazed at the tidbits Britt was able to pick out and help me to draft a cohesive narrative around my life. While I wasn’t exactly sure of my story going in, we were able to identify my goals, key values, and decisions I’ve made in line with them. I would note this wasn’t an easy process and we came back to the drawing board several times. Since then, I’ve noticed this deeper understanding of myself has helped me gain confidence and served me in all aspects of life, not just in applying to Bschool. Throughout the application process, I was grateful for the structure Career Protocol provided, in particular the curriculum on story-telling which kept me on track and making progress. Further, Britt’s essay comments always began with kind, encouraging words to keep me going, and she helped me tease out the crucial stories that best exemplified what I was looking to share. I seriously could not have asked for a better teammate in this process and I am so grateful to have met Britt and been able to work with her. And I got into top schools I would never have dreamed of!! I was admitted to my dream school, Harvard, as well as Wharton, Booth, Columbia, Tuck, and Yale with some solid scholarships. None of it would have been possible without Britt’s guidance and I am forever grateful.
I came to Career Protocol through a friend’s recommendation, and I knew that they were the right fit for me after my first call with Britt. Compared to other consultants I had spoken with, Britt and Career Protocol led with understanding my values and my unique story. What really sold me about the process at the outset was the deep dive at the start of the process into who I am as a person and the stories that have illustrated that throughout my life. For me, that was the most important factor – I knew that by working with Britt I would be able to stay completely true to who I am and what I care about in my application. One of the most powerful parts of the Career Protocol process was the initial self-discovery exercise in which I worked through a structured reflection document that Career Protocol developed to holistically uncover what mattered most to me. Britt then took all of this stream-of-conscious writing and helped distill for me the most salient points and helped me understand the direction I wanted to take in my applications. This process helped me feel confident that I was putting my best foot forward while also giving schools the most realistic experience of who I am. This also definitely held true throughout the process – from brainstorming essays to helping me figure out what to highlight on my resume. Britt also had a way of keeping me motivated during the darkest parts of the process and was always available to patiently talk through the stressful moments. I am BEYOND grateful to Britt for all of her insights and thoughtful questions that helped me better understand what I wanted out of this process – AND I got into two of my dream schools with scholarships that I never even dreamed possible. I cannot thank Britt enough and would recommend Career Protocol to anyone who is looking for a consultant who will help you be the best version of your authentic self in applications.
If you are serious about maximizing your B school application potential, look no further. My experience with Britt was truly lifechanging – and helped me gain acceptance to my M7 dream school I initially thought was well out of reach!
When I set out to begin the MBA process, I had no idea where to start. Having gained acceptance to a company scholarship in August, it was clear I was already behind the curve to even make round 2 application deadlines. I had not studied for the GMAT/GRE, started essays, networked, or even done much research on the application process (I come from an industry that typically does not get to do this). In short, I was lost. Fortunately, I discovered Career Protocol via a friend who spoke highly of how it was helping him (he would late be accepted into his dream M7). I was set up with Britt – and the rest is history!
Britt knew right away how compressed my timeline was for round 2 applications, but never once sounded the panic alarm. To provide some context when it was all said and done – I took several GMATs and GREs (including one GRE in December) to get the scores I needed. During this “chaos”, Britt was supportive, optimistic, and kept me on track with everything else for my applications. Her ability to identify my strengths and then market those in my essays and resumé was nothing short of remarkable. During our brainstorming calls, she would provide the needed perspective to “dig deeper” and find what I was truly trying to convey. She knew how to break down some of my industry specific jargon and how to market it so anyone could understand. I should note, this sort of help goes well beyond B school!
Britt kept me on track. I would tell Britt, “just give me a timeline for these essays that I should be meeting.” She took this to heart, drafted me up a timeline for the entire essay process, and held me to it! It forced me to work on all aspects of my application instead of getting locked in on test scores. Her feedback on essays is no-nonsense. If they do not meet the mark, she lets you know it! With that being said, the dialogue is never negative and there is always a clear way forward. You know when you are hitting submit that you have the best product possible!
When it was over, I successfully submitted applications for several schools on time. Later – when interview invites started to arrive in January, Britt immediately provided the best interview prep I have ever had in my life. Upon showing up to my interviews, I felt confident and ready. Career Protocol’s Wharton TBD prep was perhaps the most valuable experience during my entire process! With Britt’s help, I was accepted into Wharton, CBS, and UVA. As someone who went from being totally lost on the entire process in August – to hitting submit on applications in January, I can state with a fact it would not have been possible without Britt and the Career Protocol process. My life is now forever changed for the better.
Thank you, Britt!
Working with Career Protocol made a very stressful process so much less anxiety-inducing. Knowing that I had someone who could help talk through the 1,001 questions swirling in my head made it so much easier for me to focus on the most important and often hardest part about the MBA application – getting the words on paper.
Britt was to work with. The process of looking within to discover what matters most to you requires so much vulnerability, but Britt established a comfortable, judgment-free zone from our first call. I genuinely felt like I was talking through my thoughts and concerns with an old friend, rather than a professional consultant. Ultimately, even though I didn’t get into my reach school, I felt like I put my absolute best application forward as a result of working with Brit – plus the Discovery process coupled with all of the tools in the Career Protocol portal definitely helped me nail my interview at another top school, where I’ll be enrolling with a scholarship!
Britt helped challenge everything I knew about the MBA application process and my future. Having a traditional background in Investment Management, I wanted to take the safe route and write about wanting to do finance, post-MBA. Britt could immediately tell that this was not my passion, and that I was trying to write a story that made sense on “paper,” Recognizing this, Britt and I scrapped my previous essay drafts, and we started the whole “discovery” process over again. Britt spent over an hour unpacking my hobbies and passion projects to come up with my most authentic story. If it wasn’t for Britt, I would have never realized my true passion or have the courage to follow my dreams, which ended up being a complete pivot from my current career.
Apart from helping me realize my true passion, Britt also significantly shaped my storytelling skills. She taught me the value of the four C’s, eventually shaping my current writing style. Working with Britt through all her feedback/edits, I’ve learned that it is more powerful to write a story that is clear and concise, rather than writing one filled with platitudes and fluff.
I completely underestimated the MBA application process, and never anticipated how difficult and self-reflective it would be. Having said that, I honestly couldn’t have gotten through it without Britt. Her cheerfulness, constant support and honest feedback kept my spirits uplifted, and kept me honest throughout the process. She believed in me even when I was too nervous and scared to believe in myself! Thanks to Britt, I got into my dream school and will be starting at Wharton this fall.
By the end of this entire process, Britt has become a friend, and I still plan to send her panicked emails at 6am looking for advice/guidance. I highly recommend Britt if you’re serious about getting into the school of your dreams and discovering yourself in the process.
Upon doing my own research on consultants last year, I had intro calls with many firms. During my call with Career Protocol, there was a differentiating authenticity that was like a breath of fresh air. It was like talking to a close friend who happens to have all of the knowledge you need to help you in your MBA applications and will also shoot you straight. Working with Britt in this process has been such a gift (who would’ve thought anyone would ever say that about MBA applications)! She’s been a trusted guide, mentor, and listening ear. She saw parts of my story that were strongest for each individual application; parts that I didn’t always realize were even noteworthy. She helped me get accepted to 6 out of my 7 target schools and waitlisted at my top reach school. I was awarded full-tuition scholarships at 2 schools and had a total of ~$450,000 in scholarship offers across 6 schools. Working with a consultant is a big financial investment, but I truly could not have gotten accepted to these schools, especially with massive scholarships, without Britt!
I simply cannot say enough good things about Britt! She is one of the most cheerful, supportive, and insightful people that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She made an immense difference, and I am extremely grateful to have had the chance to work with her through what would have otherwise been a very stressful few months.
One of the first things that I did with Britt was a “discovery” process – basically, filling out every detail of your life. Hobbies, accomplishments/failures, the lemonade stand you had as a kid, etc. Britt made the exercise fun, and also helped to identify key themes & stories. I think this was a really smart way to start. The result is a summary of key accomplishments/failures (perfect for brainstorming essays and prepping for interviews!) and I found myself referring back to this document throughout the application process. The exercise also puts you in a reflective mood, which is critical as you start with applications. Britt really wants to get to know you so that she can help as much as possible, and she makes that evident right off the bat.
Writing essays was incredibly easy with Britt’s encouragement. Britt took all of the stress out of the process. She was quick and responsive with feedback on my drafts and went above and beyond to make sure my essays were perfect. On two occasions when we weren’t thrilled with my drafts, we decided to scrap the essays entirely, hop on the phone, and brainstorm again. I completely trusted Britt’s opinion (she’s a literary genius!!!) and when she said an essay was good to go, I stopped worrying about it and moved on. Thanks to Britt, I never second-guessed an essay and felt completely confident with what I submitted.
Britt also helped with a fair amount of soul-searching. Going into this process, I wasn’t entirely convinced what career I hoped to pursue post-MBA. While I’m still not 100% sure, I’m now A LOT closer than I was, and Britt helped me learn about and understand a few potential career paths that I was able to get very excited about and speak to in interviews.
Interview prep with Britt was spot-on, and she was able to perfectly capture the tone of interviews for particular schools. She also helped to coordinate a group interview with other Career Protocol clients to help me prepare for Wharton’s unique TBD interview format. It was great to get in a few dry runs and calm my nerves before the actual interviews!
After 6 months of working with Britt, I was accepted into every school I applied to – Booth, HBS, Kellogg, MIT, and Wharton – and with some scholarships as well. I am convinced that I could not have done this without Britt’s help. I am very thankful to have had her as a coach (and now as a continued friend)!!
Britt was phenomenal every step of the way in getting my application to be the best it could be. She spent countless hours upfront carefully listening, brainstorming and helping me craft my story based on my personal and professional experiences. Once that was locked in, she helped with many (MANY) revisions of the essays to make sure that every sentence played a role in shedding new light on my overall story.
I particularly appreciated Britt’s flexibility to work around my travel-heavy schedule to find times that were convenient for me…and probably not so convenient for her.
Once I received my interview, Britt quickly scheduled a mock interview and spent a significant amount of time providing invaluable feedback on everything from my speaking cadence/intonation to which of my stories made the most sense for certain responses (a true reflection of how much time Britt spends to really understand my background and personal & professional experiences).
I highly recommend Britt without any reservations. It is in no small part because of Britt that I will be joining her own alma mater at HBS this fall!
Britt was a trusted advisor, an encouraging cheerleader and a supportive friend throughout the entire application process. Although I haven’t met Britt in person, she was very straightforward and provided honest feedback. All our communications were done through Zoom or email. Zoom was a great tool (Britt is in SF and I am in East Coast) for us to communicate.
With the Irresistible MBA Application Package, I received help on school selection, essays, and interviews. After an initial telephone chat, Britt had a two-hour “get-to-know-me” session with me and this session proved to be mutually beneficial.
I really appreciated the short 2-business day turnaround time — reliable, and I managed to plan my schedule. It also forced me to work quickly, and hence received Britt’s feedback quickly. For one of my essays, we did over +10 times of revisions. For one of my other essays, I wanted to make some pretty big last minute changes. Britt was very patient and understanding. She went for the extra mile to help me to submit it on time, even though it was very stressful given the tight timeline.
When prepping for interviews, the Irresistible MBA Application provided so many useful resources and it really opened my eye for MBA interviews and general job interviews! Britt did mock interviews with me, provided feedback and cheered me on for the upcoming interviews the next day!
Britt was also brilliant during the “letters of recommendation” process. When one of my recommenders kept “missing deadlines”, I was very stressed. Britt helped me draft the email (without sounding too desperate or impolite) and even prepared me for some alternative solutions.
Additionally, Britt provided invaluable emotional support during the application process. I was the only one in my social circle to pursue an MBA and I couldn’t tell anyone at work. Even though I had serious doubts, Britt always cheered me up and made me feel hopeful and positive about my plan.
After 6 months of working together, I managed to get into EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL I worked with Britt!! I couldn’t have done it without Britt’s help!!
Britt was truly amazing to work with! Applying to business school is a lot of work and can be really stressful at times. Britt was the perfect guide in leading me through the process. Before working with Britt, the task of writing out a personal statement was daunting. In my first hour of working with Britt, she helped me reflect to find the story that I wanted to tell. More importantly, I discovered this process could be fun when working with someone who cares and exudes positivity. As we continued to work together, she challenged me to reflect deeply and to stay true to myself and my voice. And, when I was feeling stressed out, she was a cheerleader to keep me on positive and help me hit my deadlines. But, it didn’t stop there, she gave me all the guidance I needed to ace my interview. As a result, I got into not 1 but 2 of the schools of my dreams. Thanks again Britt!
Britt was a wonderful coach, cheerleader, and friend throughout the application process. She is great at digging deeper into experiences and helping with self-reflection. She even saw things in my story that were more interesting than I thought they would be. No matter how I felt going into our calls, I always felt calmer and more confident afterward. Britt was the perfect person to help make a very daunting process less intimidating. By the end, I really felt at peace knowing that I’d put my best foot forward, and I ended up with over $500,000 in scholarship money! I would definitely recommend working with Britt to anyone who wants to walk away from the application process with no regrets.
As someone who probably had more resources than the typical applicant (strong network of applicants and alumni, firm sponsorship, etc.) I couldn’t have done it without Britt’s help. The process is already challenging, but Britt helped give me the confidence to get through it all, especially with some personal tragedies in the midst of it all.
Big picture: I picked Career Protocol because of 1. Angela and Britt are fun and lighthearted, and incredibly supportive (I could tell immediately from our first call), and 2. their approach to consulting is to teach you how to take these skills (resume writing, storytelling, interviewing, etc.) with you forever on your career path rather than just on these applications.
Some details: Resume editing was fantastic (I hate that I’ll have to change my perfect resume eventually), mock interviews were very helpful (Wharton group and HBS), and essay help was invaluable (tons and tons of versions with in-line comments and overall comments/summaries). Britt was also very responsive to any and all of my one-off requests or questions I had. I did not get into the two schools she helped me on essays with (admitted reaches), but her help carried over into all my other applications (strategies, paragraphs, interview prep, etc.)
At the end of the day, I was a stronger applicant, a better professional, and simply put a better person, for having worked with Britt and can’t recommend her enough.
Britt was integral to my business school application process and I couldn’t have done it without her! After having introductory calls with multiple potential consultants, I chose Britt because she was enthusiastic, positive and upbeat, but also constructive and honest. I felt like she would be my partner, advisor, and cheerleader along the way- something I didn’t get from others. And I was right! Britt helped me get started right away, providing a roadmap of the steps to complete. The wealth of resources she provided helped me make progress at my own pace, while she provided guidance every step of the way. Britt was most integral to helping me craft my essays- really pushing me to dig into my history and helping me write an effective and compelling story. I definitely would not have ended up where I did without her feedback and guidance! Britt was also extremely helpful in prepping for interviews- asking the tough questions and providing constructive feedback (but always in a positive way!). She helped me feel prepared and confident going into each interview. Finally, and possibly, most importantly, Britt helped reassure me throughout the process. Especially in times when I felt stressed or under time pressure, Britt was always there to help. Britt was so easy to work with and I always felt better after talking to her. I’m so happy to have had Britt as my advisor during the application process, especially since I was accepted to multiple schools!
Britt was absolutely the best person that I had on my team during my business school application process. She was a cheerleader and partner more than just an admissions consultant, and this made all the difference to me!! You cannot go wrong working with Britt and Career Protocol. She supported me end to end with my applications – right from identifying the right schools, to appropriate recommenders. I was relatively late to the process itself and was also overwhelmed with work during the time. Britt helped me break it down to smaller chunks so that it was more manageable and also set deadlines for different tasks. And it was not just about the applications. She gave me tons of interview prep and practice, and we went over many different questions and scenarios. She also paid close attention to the way I was delivering, and helped me build the confidence that I so badly needed! This took the nervousness and tension out of the actual interviews and made them seem really easy. When I was waitlisted in one of my dream schools (a top-ranked school with really low acceptance rate), she guided me with a comprehensive waitlist strategy, which ultimately resulted in an offer from that school!! Britt went above and beyond to establish a personal connection right from the start. It was not just about essays and recommendations. She was very invested in my personal stories (that we discuss upfront in a self-discovery process), and helped me highlight many facets of my personality in an authentic way in my essays and interviews – there is no way I would have been able to do this on my own! Our conversations and discussions during the essay writing process helped me truly define what I wanted to get out of the program. I loved how she helped me get over the inhibition I had for writing and helped me discover my voice and tell MY story through the essays and other short answers in my applications. Above all, Britt has been a strong motivator and advocate for me all the way, and I strongly recommend working with her!
When I was exploring options for which MBA admissions consultant to go with, I stumbled across Career Protocol. After an introductory call with Angela and Britt, I knew I wanted to work with Career Protocol. Britt and I worked extensively to distill highly technical language into terms that a high school student would understand, which helped convey the impact of my accomplishments very well. It took a lot of edits for the essay and the resume to get to that simplified state and Britt was very patient throughout the whole process. I loved how Britt could convey very incisive feedback on my essays and resume without demotivating me. She kept to timelines and never missed a deadline. On the interview prep call, Britt asked organic and insightful questions that prepared me so well that the actual interview was a cake walk. She was my absolute cheerleader throughout the whole application process. I would highly recommend working with Britt if you are planning to apply to B-schools!!
Applying to Business School is a difficult, time consuming and intensive process but working with Britt was the best decision I made. My biggest regret is that I didn’t start working with her sooner! I initially sought out help from Career Protocol for accountability with deadlines and help with essays. I had struggled to get an acceptable GMAT score and so was behind when it came to applications and essays. Britt helped me with all that and more, even with a less than ideal timeline! I could not have survived applying to schools without Britt’s encouragement and guidance. I struggled with writing my first application essay but Britt nudged me to get going and then as we worked through draft after draft she provided the perfect mix of constructive feedback and motivation. She challenged me in the best possible ways and helped me get deep to the core of who I am and what I want out of business school. She has an amazing talent to bring out the best in you! I really appreciate how all my essays still sound 100% like me, they are my voice, my experiences, my values, and my goals, just articulated in the best way possible. Throughout the entire process, Britt was a thoughtful consultant who always seemed to have my interests and voice at the heart of it all. Her empathy and ability to get to the core of who her clients are is something that I believe sets her far apart from other consultants! She turned the essay writing into one of the most enjoyable parts of the process. Though I was a bit rushed on time she was always speedy with her turnaround and feedback. This made working through lots of essays and drafts possible. Beyond help with application and essays, Britt has been extremely helpful as I navigate acceptances, waitlists, and rejections. I could not have gotten into business school without her, having Britt has a friend and a consultant during such an intense and crazy application process made all the difference. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone applying to business school! Having someone as smart and empathetic as Britt on your team is worth every penny. She will challenge you and guide you and help you bring out the best version of yourself in the applications. I recommend working with Britt to anyone starting off on their journey and only wish I had found started working with her sooner!
I originally wanted to work with an Admissions Consultant to keep me on track with deadlines. Britt and Career Protocol, however, went far beyond keeping me on track. Britt taught me to push beyond the surface with my essays and get to the deeper, more meaningful points that would further separate me from other candidates. She armed me with a knowledge and appreciation of self-reflection, a process that though difficult, is critical throughout both this process and one’s career. I have walked out of this experience more confident in my unique abilities and strengths and aware of my areas of growth, both of which will serve me well as I start school next fall at my first choice program. If I could emphasize anything about Career Protocol it would be that what I learned over the past few months with Britt not only served me during the application process but also will continue to help me stand out during business school and beyond, in whatever I choose to go for. Thank you, Britt!
I cannot say enough great things about working with Britt. At the beginning of the application process, I was completely overwhelmed. Britt and Career Protocol gave me the sense of structure I needed to know where to start and what to prioritize. Britt instilled confidence in me time after time (I had lots of mini panic attacks along the way) and helped me BELIEVE that I could achieve my B-school goals. Working with Britt allowed me to apply to five schools in a single round while working a demanding consulting job (it’s not easy!!). Ultimately, I got into multiple top schools and will be attending my dream school in the fall. Before meeting Britt, I would’ve never imagined that this was possible. A few things that I loved the most about working with Britt and Career Protocol: Constructive yet encouraging feedback: This is the most important quality and what sets Britt apart. Her comments on my drafts were always a perfect balance of encouraging and constructive – direct but 100% judgment-free. It helped me even ENJOY the essay-writing process towards the end. Even when I wasn’t sure where my story was heading, Britt was able to find positive things to highlight and practical tips and areas to focus on. She’d ask questions that would force me to really dig deep on what I was trying to convey, and each round of feedback always resulted in a more compelling draft. Self-discovery exercise: I loved that working with Britt began with an intense self-discovery exercise where you have to look into yourself and tease out what makes you ‘you.’ I also really appreciated that Britt took the time to go through what I had written and started shaping early on the best stories to highlight in my application. With that said, it should be stressed that Britt only serves as a guide to help you discover your own voice, and never as an authority figure who dictates what stories you should be telling. Other administrative perks: Working with Britt made managing my recommenders and keeping straight the never-ending to-do list a breeze. Thanks again, Britt! A few other excellent qualities of Britt as an MBA consultant/life coach: 1) Britt is an excellent listener and makes you feel valued for your input. 2) Britt brings her infectious laugh and positive attitude everywhere. 3) Britt is always on time for calls and essay turnarounds. I highly recommend working with Britt to anyone starting their MBA journeys. You will love working with her, most likely get into great schools, and walk away having made a great new friend and mentor.
With Britt’s help, I got into my top choice school with a full-tuition scholarship and a living stipend! I honestly wouldn’t have been able to get through the grueling b-school application process without Britt. I started the process crunched for time since I decided to apply late, which made me feel super stressed out. Britt helped calm my nerves especially as the deadlines approached and ultimately helped push me through the hump to make sure I got to the finish line. What initially drew me to Britt and Career Protocol was her/their emphasis on getting to know me as a person, rather than another candidate with statistics. I came from a non-traditional background for b-school. For me, imposter syndrome was real and Britt really helped me get past that through her discovery process at the beginning of our working relationship. She helped me learn about myself and realize all the cool things I’ve done, which was extremely helpful for writing essays and interview prep. Throughout the entire process, Britt was kind, positive, motivating, and most of all, reliable! Britt is amazing – I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone looking for a top-notch consultant!
I am so thankful I decided to work with Britt and Career Protocol during my business school application process. I spoke to a few other consultants as I was doing my research, but I was immediately drawn to Britt because of her friendliness, energy, and very unique tone vs the rest of the market – everything about her exuded creativity and fun, which is what I knew I needed to add to my application (coming from a very traditional finance background). Britt got to know me so well in so little time and encouraged me to take risks in my essays that I wouldn’t have done on my own. When I began working with Britt, I had already applied to GSB once and gotten rejected without an interview. I used a classic consultant for a 2-3 hour package to review my essays and found it pretty unhelpful. At the very beginning, Britt said let’s scrap your old stuff and start from scratch – let’s uncover everything great about you. We went through a discovery exercise that took some time but was WELL WORTH IT. By the time I had listed out all of my life stories, goals, role models, and everything in between, I had so many options to work with for my essays. I previously could only think of one story about a mediocre leadership position I had in college, but Britt brought out a story about my creative side that I never would’ve even thought about focusing my applications on. Aside from helping you structure your strongest essays, in the beginning, Britt was with me through every other step of the process. She gave me encouragement when I was feeling nervous before interview decisions and got me through one of the toughest weeks. She prepped me for my interviews thoroughly and gave me blunt and candid feedback about my rambling on with responses (this came in super handy on interview days by the way). She also gave me the best advice on how to handle a waitlist process for nearly 4 months – without her, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to calm my nerves and remain patient for so long. The result? I got admitted into an awesome healthcare MBA program and admitted off the waitlist from HBS, my dream school! Thanks again Britt and Career Protocol for getting me this far. I will take the valuable skills taught from all the online tools with me to business school and beyond. If you’re hesitating on whether to get a consultant or which consultant to get – don’t think twice! Sign up with Britt and Career Protocol. You won’t regret it!
I cannot recommend Britt and Career Protocol more highly. Instead of the coach/player relationship I was expecting, Britt made it clear early on that we were partners in my application process. She did not simply want to get me into the best business school possible – she wanted to get me into the right MBA program for me, at the right school. Britt guided me seamlessly through the grinding process of applying to elite MBA programs when I had no idea what to do next. Britt pushed me not only to focus my true voice and goals into my applications, but she also inspired me to dream bigger. Many of the MBA goals I have reached today were once unthinkable – until I met Britt. The most important piece to know about working with Britt is that she will take your raw materials and help you package them in a way that will make sense to a reader or interviewer who doesn’t know you. Britt spends a lot of time frontloading on your goals, dreams, accomplishments through a discovery doc that outlines your professional and personal life up until application time. This step is critical and unique to career protocol and Britt. After writing down all my life experiences in one place, I never had to brainstorm before writing an application essay. All the possible topics had already been summarized and vetted between the two of us! Additionally, since Britt knew me so well from this document, she could keep me on track when the excitement or stress of applying for MBA programs got to me. She would ask me things like, “Why do you want to apply here? Why are you including this example? Does this sentence help express to the adcom what your goals are?” – which is key to expressing yourself clearly and concisely. When I think about my time with Britt, the main theme is her ability to go above and beyond to tailor the experience to me. She never had me complete any work that wasn’t essential to the process. She never once missed a deadline or turnaround time for communication – often beating the deadline when she knew I had an application due soon. And finally, Britt even went so far as to connect me with students and alumni from her personal network at the schools I was applying to – sometimes just so I could see if the school was a good fit! If that is not the definition of “above and beyond,” I don’t know what is. If you want to get into the school of your dreams, that is a perfect fit for your personality, goals, and learning style, and you are willing to work to get there – you cannot go wrong with Britt. The only mistake I made in the entire process was not reaching out to Britt and Career Protocol earlier.
Working with Britt is like working with a therapist. After each phone call, I felt the pressure was lifted. She made it all okay. She is an incredible sounding board offering perspective and guidance and was somehow able to take my messy career history and map it out to help me create a story that made sense, to me and to the admission committee. She also did this in an insanely quick turnaround period – I’m a procrastinator and reached out for help one week before the HBS app was due. She gave a super clear structure to a daunting process and having her hold me to timelines made all the difference. Her feedback on essays was direct and honest, no sugar coating what I was doing wrong, but she kept my confidence going the whole time, and she was on the phone whenever we needed to talk through an issue. Whatever you do, get Britt’s help!
The B-school application process can seem like a daunting black box, but it was nice to be guided by a sherpa-like Britt and Career Protocol. Her fast turnaround time and responsiveness were really helpful – it is nice that the expectations were clearly laid out from the start and cadence of the review was clearly established. I can’t even begin to count how many drafts she helped to read! I appreciated being able to talk through my essays and have interview practice. Through it all, Britt provided a judgment-free space and truly boosted my confidence. Her optimism and upbeat attitude was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise crazy process.
Working with Britt is a really positive experience. She provided great resources and suggestions, and always prompted me for self-reflection, which helped uncover my personal stories. The career protocol website also provided a lot of structure and resources, which made the application process straightforward. Also, what I appreciated the most was Britt’s positive energy, especially during such a long, hard application process. Britt made me feel supported throughout the application process, and I would recommend her without any hesitation!
Britt is the Best! I worked with Britt after an unsuccessful round of MBA applications where I had worked with one of the “big name” MBA application consulting firms. The difference was night and day. While the other firm provided some vanilla guidance and grammatical editing, Britt helped me find MY voice and ensured it leaped off the essay pages. Britt dove in from the very beginning to really understand who I am and what makes me unique and then was able to help me craft my applications to ensure that it is ME applying to the programs, not some watered-down caricature of myself. We’ve all felt the terror of reading through an essay prompt and then just staring at that blank page, paralyzed, not knowing even where to start. Britt DESTROYS that dreaded blank page. She is incredibly good at helping you sift through potential approaches to an essay and then most importantly helping you identify the right one that will help the school really get to know YOU. We balanced vulnerability and failure with triumph and successes – ensuring throughout that MY voice and personality shone through. The application process with Britt was so smooth. I was drowning during my applications – a demanding PE job, a family at home, and studying for the GMAT all pulling me away from my applications. But from the very beginning, Britt was able to lay out a perfect cadence of reviews and intermittent deadlines to ensure everything had enough time for rigorous review before submission. It made the process so much easier for me. In the end, I was perfectly at peace with the materials that I submitted, knowing I had given the schools the best opportunity to get to know me. It was up to them to decide if I was right for their class. I was accepted to my top choice school and simply could not have done it without Britt!
I was someone who had almost no MBAs in their personal and professional networks when starting the application process. Through it all, Britt was more than an admissions consultant – she was a cheerleader and a friend whose support and belief in me never wavered, even when I had my own self-doubts. I have never met someone who is so genuinely enthusiastic and optimistic, but who could also take an essay and be brutally honest about its faults when needed. Applying to six top MBA programs (including 3 M7s) all Round 1 was difficult, but Britt helped me minimize timeline-induced stress and ensure every piece of every application was it’s absolute best. I didn’t want to write an essay for what “School X wants”; I wanted to be true to my story and myself, and just put the best version of myself out there. Britt and Career Protocol have the same philosophy. With Britt’s guidance and insight, I ended up loving every single piece of every single MBA application I submitted. I was ultimately admitted to five of the six schools I applied to, including 2 M7s, all with merit scholarship. A year ago I was wondering if I was good enough, if my story was interesting enough, and if the schools I wanted were truly possible. Now I’m enrolling at my dream school with an 80% tuition scholarship – I attribute this success to my decision to work with Britt. If you feel like you have the stats, but need help with the stories, do yourself the favor: invest in yourself and your future right now, and work with Britt. I cannot thank her enough for what she’s done for me!
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Britt during my recent b-school application round. More than anything, I appreciate the holistic approach Britt took that I think was critical for me to feel more comfortable through the whole process, better understand myself and my motivations, and ultimately create more honest and compelling applications to reach my goals. From the beginning, Britt was always friendly, upbeat, and generally a pleasure to work with. She was a fantastic guide to reflecting on my accomplishments, goals, and stories. She showed an uncanny talent for analyzing what I told her and identifying the strands that tie everything together that even a therapist might not find. Sure, plenty of these realizations you could work through on your own, but Britt helped me accelerate that process greatly so I could bring to bear better ideas for my essays and ultimately craft an application that went a level deeper than what I might’ve created on my own. Britt also went above and beyond in building a real connection with me, which was invaluable for this difficult process. She was always a trusted source for any quick question I might have, but more than that she was also there as a friend when things were tough. At one point, I was pretty bummed out from second-guessing myself after a key interview, and what really meant a lot to me was that Britt went out of her way to give me a call and talk through what I was feeling — that’s not something I can imagine most coaches in this field doing. From our work together, I was even able to reach application nirvana: that point where you’re comfortable putting it down, hitting submit, and being completely at peace no matter the result. And I truly mean that; not every application got the result I wanted but I was truly okay with that, feeling confident that I had put my best foot forward and without regrets. Ultimately, Britt was invaluable in helping me present the best version of myself in my applications, and I was able to receive an offer from my top choice program. If you’re looking to apply or reapply for a top MBA program, I give her my highest recommendation.
If you know what’s good for you, work with Britt! When I started this process, I didn’t have a vision or any long-term goals. Our work together forced me to grow in places that I definitely needed but did not expect. Now, thanks to our work, I’ve got my head on my shoulders, I’ve got a plan, and I’ve got a huge scholarship to my #1 choice MBA program! Britt was super reliable – I could email her freaking out, and she’d get a call scheduled to talk things through asap, which helped soothe extra anxiety about the process. In addition, her enthusiasm really helped get me through the times of the MBA process that were daunting and difficult. Even when we were on the 10th draft of an essay(!!), every edit felt fresh; Britt’s comments and actionable advice was easy to understand and something I could implement immediately. For one of my schools, we had already COMPLETED one of my essays, but then the school changed it on the website! Of course, I was sitting at my desk freaking out and under severe time crunch, but Britt said, “Don’t worry! We can do this!”, and we did! The resources that are available to you as a client are unparalleled – all the info you could ever need will be right in front of you (when to expect getting an essay back, scholarship info, interview prep documents), and I could reference it whenever I needed. In particular, two things I loved most were the Discovery doc and the interview prep doc. The Discovery doc became the foundation for my entire application because it forced introspection as well as brought out patterns that I didn’t see before. The interview prep portion helped me to confidently and concisely articulate everything I discovered in the Discovery doc and I honestly had a fantastic time interviewing (which I was super surprised by, considering that I was most anxious about that component!). She was my coach, cheerleader, and voice of reason – I’m so SO glad she was my consultant. If nothing else above has convinced you, maybe this will: I’ve really enjoyed working with Britt so much so that I’ve already put myself on a waitlist for the course YOMO (You Only MBA Once) so that I can work with her again!
After meeting Britt, I knew I could trust her to help me get admitted into an M7 school. From the start, her organization and two-day turnaround on essays gave me the confidence I needed to feel great about my application. I knew that with Britt working with me, I would submit my best application possible. As a minority MBA candidate, I trusted her to uncover some of my most vulnerable life stories to create essays that I’ll cherish forever. That trust allowed me to not rely on any outside advice from school alums or friends during the entire process. Once my essays were complete, it felt as if Britt had known me better than some of my closest friends and family members. Her constructive criticism and her amazing storytelling ability gave me confidence in my MBA package and removed any anxiety I had once I hit submit on my applications. Without Britt, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to share such vulnerable essays and I definitely would not have had the same confidence to apply to only top 10 schools. I couldn’t see myself working with anyone else and I’m happy I got to have such an honest, genuine coach by my side the entire way!
Britt supported me in thinking through a career change. She helped me with both the technical (resume & portfolio, etc) and emotional (confidence building) aspects of taking the next step in my career. She works collaboratively rather than prescriptively and is incredibly positive and encouraging while also providing helpful critical feedback.
Britt is a fantastic listener. When I was making changes in my career, she was able to help me get clear for myself what I wanted. She has also provided excellent coaching on actions to take in negotiations to ensure I could get the position and salary I wanted. I know she will make a big difference for anyone about to embark on a big change like going to grad school or taking on a new challenge.
I was lucky enough to work with Britt very early on in my business school search, while I was still making decisions regarding specific programs of interest. Britt’s knowledge and insight into the different programs was unbelievably helpful as I finalized my target list of schools. Rather than just offering blanket advice about the application process, Britt took the time to listen to my story and ask me the appropriate questions that allowed her to really grasp what I was looking for in an MBA program. Britt was amazingly thorough in reviewing and structuring my essay. From the tone of the essay to small grammatical changes and word choice, Britt went above and beyond to make sure that my essays were perfect. I don’t know what I would have done without Britt’s guidance. I felt that I went overboard making sure that I had a finalized product, but Britt was always able to find a couple of additional tweaks that made the essays that much better. From the beginning to the end of the process, Britt’s enthusiasm and energy kept me motivated and focused. In the future, I would never hesitate to ask for her help again and I know that she is the only person I would recommend to anyone looking to pursue their MBA!
Britt is a gifted advisor and counselor, dedicated to not only supporting her clients in their specific business/academic pursuits, but in their holistic wellbeing. Right from the beginning I felt supported by Britt through her helpful questioning around what I sought to achieve and what desirable outcomes would look like for me in our work together. She reframed the experience of developing a resume from a mundane, frustrating, even daunting task, to one that was inspiring, empowering and motivating. She helped me tell my story more accurately and ultimately more successfully through clear, concrete suggestions, totally transforming not only how I presented myself outwardly, but how I felt about my achievements internally. Britt is naturally adept at this kind of work, it comes so easily and intuitively to her, and her passion is contagious. She cares deeply about her clients, and beyond supporting them in reaching their near term goals, she creates lasting self-awareness, self-confidence and growth.
