With over 22 years of MBA Admissions Consulting experience, I have dedicated my career to coaching applicants to top business schools. I have helped over 500 MBA applicants from around the globe gain admission to top U.S. and European business schools, often with substantial scholarship support.
I am passionate about helping applicants reach their goals, and I strive to help each client identify:
1- What are the best STORIES and aspects of their life to share in applications, and
2- HOW to best convey those stories in a memorable and compelling way, therefore differentiating themselves in a competitive applicant pool
The MBA admissions world can be overwhelming, especially in today’s information-overload reality. Mindful of that present-day challenge, I help clients navigate and prioritize what needs to be accomplished throughout the process, and motivate and support each client.
Clients say they appreciate the improvement in their applications and yet how everything remains in their own voice. I am always honest, direct, and comprehensive with my feedback and coaching. I also have extensive experience with interview coaching and helping clients present the best possible versions of themselves in that final assessment step.
As a result of my extensive career in MBA Admissions Consulting, I have worked with applicants from across most industries, including finance, consulting, tech, engineering, marketing, consumer goods, entrepreneurship, healthcare, non-profit, as well as less traditional pre-MBA backgrounds such as education, media, the arts, sports, real estate, military backgrounds, and more. No matter what your background or story is, I am confident we can identify multiple key aspects of ‘you’ that are unique and that MBA programs will appreciate, which we will highlight through your applications to maximize your chances.
My background also includes brand management and marketing (which helps me emphasize your personal brand), small business ownership (so I understand cross-functional aspects of business and the importance of an entrepreneurial mind-set), and extensive GMAT/GRE test prep expertise. Additionally, my years working abroad in the UK helped me develop an international perspective, familiarity with elite global programs, and an ability to consider cross-cultural elements in one’s application.
As for my own degree, I chose to earn my MBA abroad at Cambridge in the UK to increase my global business exposure. I supported the Admissions Office at Cambridge and have served as a featured MBA admissions speaker at events across North America and Europe.
Overall, I look forward to getting to know you as a client, and drawing upon my extensive experience working with applicants from diverse backgrounds to help you present the best version of yourself in applications, ultimately allowing you to reach your goals.

Jen is the absolute best. She is really diligent and meticulous about each application and made the process great for both European and Stateside MBA programs. I was very much on the fence about doing an MBA before beginning the daunting process of applying, but she was there every step of the way and really flexible working around my schedule of a 60/70 hour per week (on average) job. Jen also makes the process incredibly fun from GMAT to decision time. I can’t recommend Jen enough (and I’ve sent her two prospective applicants already)!
With Jen’s strong support and guidance, I was accepted into my dream business school programs (Wharton, Anderson)!! I knew very little coming into the MBA application process and Jen was especially impactful in determining my target business schools, strategizing on my applications, crafting my personal statements, selecting my recommenders, and closely reviewing my applications in a short timeline – she really did it all and was a joy to work with! Jen was great to brainstorm with, came highly prepared, and provided strong feedback and insights in all our meetings which helped me write personal statements that I felt truly reflected my personality, background, and career ambitions. Prior to working with Jen, I found the application process incredibly daunting (especially since I was taking the GMAT and working at the same time) and she was able to help coach me through the process and keep me on track so I was always focused on the most important areas. In addition to her strong expertise, Jen’s positivity and supportiveness really made the difference – from taking multiple calls prior to my TBD interview for Wharton to taking early morning calls right before the application deadline, Jen truly went the extra mile to help me accomplish my goal. I highly recommend Jen and am very fortunate to have worked with her. Thank you Jen!!!
I highly recommend working with Jen! Jen was essential in my admission to my dream business school. She is very personable and has a positive energy that lifted my day and encouraged me through the whole admissions process.
Jen supported my entire application and used her extensive knowledge of admission boards to help me become a strong candidate. She is incredibly talented at editing essays and helped mould my story in to a compelling essay. Following the written application, Jen ran three mock interview sessions with me that set me up perfectly for the real one with most questions anticipated. As a full time consultant, Jen has a quick turn around time and was always available when I needed extra help by email or on zoom.
Jen helped steady me through balancing a very challenging work situation with applications, for which I am ever grateful. I couldn’t have asked for a better consultant. I highly recommend working with Jen!!
I worked with Jen through 2023 as I was applying to 2 UK MBA programmes: Cambridge & LBS. I initially chose to work with Jen because she had completed her own MBA at Cambridge and I liked her approach when we had our initial free consultation.
Going in to my application I had a strong career track record and University grades, however my GMAT results were well below average for my target schools, due to my quantitative incompetence (I wont be designing airplanes any time soon). I was unwilling to take the GMAT again, so instead worked with Jen to create applications that focussed on my strengths on 2/3 selection criteria.
The process was enjoyable, Jen is challenging but great to work with, her knowledge on how to present myself through an MBA application was invaluable throughout each step in the process. Ultimately , I received scholarship offers to both of my target programmes – as such I highly recommend working with Jen for anyone considering an MBA consultant in the future.
My dream was to attend a full-time MBA program abroad, but I knew it would be a steep uphill climb. With no international living experience and what most would consider ‘average’ test scores and GPA, I realized that effectively crafting and communicating my story and motivations would be critical to strengthening my profile. Thankfully, I reached out to mbaMission and was referred to Jen, an expert in European MBA program admissions. The main areas I worked on with Jen were developing my essays and resume, navigating the application process, and preparing for interviews.
Jen is a thoughtful and thorough consultant who positioned me for success. She is an extremely talented essay editor who understands exactly what admissions committees seek in personal statements. Jen provided school-specific insights that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own and advised me on how to effectively weave them into my essays. Additionally, she was instrumental in interview preparation, helping me frame my stories and prioritize what each school values, all while delivering candid feedback in an uplifting manner. She tailored this preparation to whether I was interviewing with an alumn or an admissions advisor, and I can honestly say that our mock interviews were incredibly reflective of the real experience.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Without her assistance with the essays and interview prep, I am certain I would not have been accepted to INSEAD, the school I will be attending. Jen was very supportive and responsive throughout the entire process, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get into their stretch program!
I 100% recommend working with Jen. I worked with her on my Oxford and Cambridge applications last year, where I was accepted into both. Jen has been an MBA consultant for many years now, so it’s no surprise she’s so knowledgeable and experienced. In addition, she’s a very personable and friendly person which made working with her that much better. Given that she works full time with MBA Mission, she is extremely responsive, quick to respond to emails / give feedback, and overall a complete professional. Don’t hesitate working with Jen 🙂
I started working with Jen on mock interviews after being invited to interview for LBS, Oxford and Cambridge. Her knowledge and experience with European MBAs were beyond helpful and put me at ease when I was so nervous! Everything we discussed during our mock interviews happened during my actual interviews, so it was a huge relief to be prepared. Jen is also the sweetest person, and she’ll give you the best feedback based on your personality and profile, so it really helped me bring the stories from my application to life during the interviews. I’m happy to say I got into all three schools! Thank you, Jen!
When I began working with Jen, I knew very little about the MBA application process. Jen was patient and thorough, and I felt comfortable going to her with any questions I had. She helped to keep me organized and on schedule to submit 7 R1 applications. Jen made herself available to me whether it was answering a quick email or scheduling a last minute call. While she reviewed my resume and every application and essay, she provided feedback and comments that helped keep my submission individualized. Ultimately, I was accepted to multiple reach schools and offered generous scholarships to many programs. I would highly recommend Jen as your MBA admissions consultant!
I loved working with Jen! When I began the MBA admissions process, I knew next to nothing about it. Jen did an excellent job guiding me through the process, and throughout my time working with her, she was kind, thoughtful, and detail oriented. Thanks to her, I was accepted to one of my target schools. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering applying to MBA programs.
I’ve been working with Jen for the past few months and my experience with her was amazing. Firstly, my situation was very nuanced (I was considering forgoing a part-time US program and applying for a European full-time program). Second, I did not have too much time applying when I started working with her and wanted to apply for the R1 deadline. Jen took time to get to know me and did not get scared away with my special circumstance. Instead, she called out several areas that I had never thought about before that I thought were super helpful for my application. Once I started working with her, a few things stand out as well. First, she is very knowledgeable about the whole process and especially on European programs. Her expertise and knowledge make my application more efficient. Second, she is real friendly, patient, and effective. For each of my draft she spent thorough time to review and comments. Her feedback was honest, but also help me unlock ideas and stories for future drafts. She always deliver on time, and even went above and beyond. I treated her as a thought parter and coach, and really appreciate her advice. Eventually, I’ve received offer from both Cambridge and Oxford. Without her, I think getting my dreams programs will be much harder. Thank you Jen!! 🙂
I worked with Jen on five round-one MBA applications (HBS, Stanford GSB, Booth, Kellogg, and Sloan), and was accepted to every program with significant scholarships at Booth and Kellogg! Before starting my apps, I spoke to a few admissions consultants, and Jen immediately stood out to me as the best. Jen worked with me on an hourly basis and helped me with my essays for all schools. She gave me practical, helpful advice, and really helped me take my essays to the next level. Jen also did a mock HBS interview with me, and this experience was very helpful to prepare for the “real thing”. She asked me thoughtful questions and gave me actionable feedback. Jen was there with me every step of the way, and I believe working with her added significant value to my applications. I highly recommend working with Jen – she is worth every penny!
I met Jen during the free mbaMission consulting session. She was extremely intelligent and understanding of my previous professional career. I had my doubts about my resume and application, but she was extremely supportive and assured me that I had great qualities to be a strong candidate for my desired MBA programs. She was prompt, responsive, and extremely thorough with her responses and suggestions, but also incredibly nice and fun to work with. I definitely could not have gotten into my dream schools without her help and guidance. I would highly, highly recommend working with Jen!
I met Jen during the free counseling call that MBAMission provided and immediately felt that she cared and genuinely wanted to help me get into the best business school I wanted. After my GMAT, I had to fill in a long brainstorming document going through every detail of my life, and we had a call to discuss which aspects would be most relevant to my application. Jen was very creative in finding strengths in me that I did not think of as strengths, but those that would be valued in B-school.
I had initially wanted to apply to the top 15 US schools, but suddenly changed my mind in the middle of the process and decided only to apply to European schools. Jen did not miss a beat and immediately was able to give me recommendations on school choice, deadlines, and the timeline by which I should aim to finish every aspect of each school’s deadline. Even when I missed some of her timeline recommendations, she adjusted her approach to suit me. Her detailed emails and advice helped me stay on track and submit applications to 5 European schools in Round 1, from which I got admits into two top European B-schools.
I truly believe that my application was made much better because of all her advice and that she made a decisive difference in my acceptance chances. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a consultant who can identify your own unique strengths and make them shine in your application.
I worked with Jen on a one-school application to London-based business schools, with a view that I could add an application for a second school should my first preference be unsuccessful.
I found Jen to be an extremely valuable ally to have in my corner. Not only was her understanding of the process and application demands a huge leg up, she also provided a sense of structure which helped my meet my deadlines.
Jen helped me develop and focus in on my strengths and clarify my objectives (both for the program and post). Her ability to condense my drafts into a format where every sentence had impact was brilliant and, I feel, something that would have been difficult to achieve without the kind of experience that she brings to the table.
I had the privilege of working with Jen who truly elevated my application process. Her professionalism and expertise were evident from the very beginning. She showed me the right way to highlight my strengths while skillfully navigating around any potential weaknesses, ensuring my application shone brightly.
Her up-to-date knowledge of the expected interview questions proved invaluable, enabling me to approach the interview with confidence and poise. Thanks to her guidance, I secured a place at the university of my choice.
I highly recommend Jet to anyone seeking to maximize their chances of success in the competitive MBA admissions process.
Jen was instrumental in helping me prepare for my MBA interviews at Harvard and Stanford. She provided me with a clear path to prep for interviews and all the necessary pre materials. I did a mock interview with her for both schools, and her feedback helped me excel in the actual interview, which went similarly to the mock session. I’m very grateful to have worked with Jen!
Jen is great! I had a great experience working with her. She is friendly and always available for consultation. She provided constructive feedback on my essays and asked questions that prompted me to think deeper, enhancing my applications. I do not regret getting her help with my application!
I had a wonderful experience working with Jen Kedrowski. I first spoke with Jen in November of 2022 after reading about her expertise in advising applicants to leading US as well as international MBA programs. It was clear during our first consultation that she was engaged and interested in learning about me on a personal level and was able to ask probing questions that allowed me to expand on experiences that shaped who I am as a business professional.
I was entering the MBA application process slightly late, so her expertise helped me create a curated timeline that took into consideration my upcoming testing dates as well as key application milestones. As someone from a non-traditional background, her process insights and timeline tips were extremely helpful. Her approach made me feel supported and confident that I wouldn’t miss any surprise or mystery variables at the end of an application.
Jen was highly responsive and provided clear instructions on how best to contact her based on the urgency and types of questions that arose. She took the time to help me identify specific program qualities I was looking for and provided insight into the optimal time in the application cycle to apply, given my test scores and specific work experience. With Jen’s help, I was admitted with merit-based scholarships to my top choices: Darden (UVA) and Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. I am truly grateful for the support Jen provided and would highly recommend working with such an experienced and thoughtful “coach” throughout this process.
The main reason I decided to get consultant service was that I felt I needed direction to prepare a strong success story and to deal with the whole process smoothly. I had 30 minutes free consultations with multiple consultants, however I easily made my decision as I realized that mbaMission and specifically, Jen was the best person to jump into this process with. I started working with Jen in November for R2. We were preparing the whole applications for 2 B-schools. Each of our sessions was very productive and helpful. Working with Jen was very nice and comfortable, she provided all the materials I needed during the process, she was open to answer any questions and to discuss any topic together, which was really helpful for me to make some decisions during the process. She has always been considering of my timeline and offered a flexible timeline for meetings. She was responding to all my emails and was returning all the documents we worked together on time, within the agreed timeline, which is essential, especially when you have so many things to do concurrently in a short period of time. Jen helped me to prepare for interviews. I think our mock interviews were super helpful and really close to the real ones. She gave very specific tips and made the preparation process much more easier. Her rich experience in this field, coupled with her motivation and hard work to deep dive into my story, helped me achieve the results, I could not even imagine. Thanks to Jen, I was admitted to both schools (one of them was my dream Business schools, LBS) and got scholarships from both of them. Besides all the professional things, I think she is a very honest and super kind person. I felt her support and cheerleading on each step. It was great pleasure to work and communicate with her. Having MBA consultant during the application journey is an important investment, however it is totally worth it.
I contacted Jen when I was preparing for an interview for admission to Kellogg’s MMM program. I did a 30 minutes free consultation with her and then a mock interview. Both sessions were very rich and she provided me with practical advice as well study material which came in very handy during my preparation. However, I was not admitted most because admission into the program was very competitive and I did not have the opportunity to work extensively with her. Jen encouraged me to give another shot at applying to business school and proposed practical steps as well a calendar of activities that would help improve my chances. First, she advised me to try the GRE after several attempts at the GMAT. She encouraged me to make one, then a second, and finally a third attempt, progressively increasing my scores. She then guided me through a careful choice of programs, five of which I applied to. Thanks to the diligent approach she adopted in guiding me through brainstorming, updating my resume, writing my essays, working with my recommenders, and filling my applications, I was called up for interview by three of the schools I applied to (a feat I failed to accomplish for all of the programs I previously applied to except Kellogg, which had as policy interviewing all candidates) and subsequently placed on the waiting list of one of the programs (Georgetown McDonough) and was granted admission to McCombs UT Austin (One of the two other schools, one of which I applied to through the early action option). I can state unequivocally that Jen helped me significantly improve my applications and get an admission into McCombs. I will gladly and confidently recommend her services for anyone seeking advice and coaching for admission into any MBA program.
I was trying to get into my top choice B-school for a year. I was determined to get into it, but I felt that I needed someone who can stand as a strong support throughout to make the whole process less overwhelming. I had my priorities sorted in terms of the kind of consultant I wanted to work with. I talked to many consultants but I decided to work with Jen as I was looking for someone who is experienced (Jen has 20 years of experience), and who is a great mentor – with whom I can have wholesome conversations. I am a person who wants to think through all the scenarios and ponder different possibilities. But I felt limited to doing all this by myself. So, I was looking for a person who had lived through such scenarios and who knows what can work potentially at the end. At the same time, I wanted someone who can give my application a human touch, who can feel me, my life, and my stories and then show me the right path and the best ways to tell those stories. I didn’t want robotic suggestions, I wanted logical and emotional suggestions. When I talked to Jen for the first time, I could feel her positive aura, her friendly energy, and her eye for detail along with her empathetic and genuine heart. I knew she is someone with whom I want to work with. I really felt grateful when in my essay drafts, Jen used to add stories/words from my brainstorming document, that I thought couldn’t add much value. Jen is very proactive in following up if she sees any lag. She also understands each person’s strengths and weaknesses, which keeps her work style dynamic. I had a tough time preparing for video essays as I was not able to show my real energy and enthusiasm for the school. Because the answers looked more rehearsed. After a few mocks, Jen realized that my style is not remembering everything. I perform better and look more natural when I am writing only 2-3 words (and not the whole sentences) and speaking extempore. This advice did wonders. I myself couldn’t believe the way I was talking on video completely got transformed with her guidance. I will be grateful to Jen for this realization. Once when I was not well and was just on the verge of submitting an application, Jen went out of her promised 2-working-day time and responded to my short answers within a day, just to make sure I submit my application in time. (though I don’t advise leaving anything for the last day, it gets overwhelming for the consultant also). Still, another instance, was when I was not feeling confident a few days before Darden deadline because of not-so competitive GMAT score. I remember sharing a long email with Jen explaining my concerns and why I should not submit to Darden in R1 and wait for R2. I remember that weekend and Jen replied to me on the same day answering my every concern and pushing me to go for R1 and gave me many more reasons to believe in myself and trust the efforts that I put into writing my story. I gained an admit to Darden as a Forte Fellow with a 40K scholarship and I can say, I owe Darden to her. I can assure if you choose Jen, she will leave no stone unturned to make you a successful story.
Jen was an incredible consultant and helped to make the entire process so much smoother. From the start, she helped make a clear plan of how we would tackle the application process with a week-by-week guide. Since I was coming from an engineering background, her expertise was essential in helping me brainstorm and edit essays. Before each of my interviews, she helped me practice which was so important to not only reviewing likely questions, but also getting out the nervous jitters. Throughout the process, she was warm, kind, and always responsive. With her help, I was accepted to not only my target school (CBS) but also my dream school (HBS)! Jen really made all the difference and I am so grateful for all of her help and guidance.
I was solely focused on applying to European schools and originally went with Jen as she had attended Cambridge herself. However, throughout the 3-4 months that I spent working with Jen, she was an absolutely invaluable resource in helping me gain admission. I only applied to LBS and IESE for Round 1 and got admitted to both. I knew LBS would be a reach for me, but Jen really took the time to get to know me, my story, and my motivations for wanting to attend, and was a constant cheerleader throughout the process. Having only lived in one US state, moving abroad for business school was a huge life decision and having Jen in my corner made that decision that much easier.
Working with her made me much more confident in my unique story and confirmed my motivations for applying, and I was in turn able to convey this confidence throughout my essays, interviews, and chats with students/alumni. Jen also has a background in test prep and was able to provide some helpful tips as I studied for the GRE. Jen was also a great resource for my recommenders as she provided resources to help them write a strong recommendation and read through drafts to make sure that piece of my application was strong.
Lastly, at the beginning of our relationship, I was given a 15-20 page document to fill out. This is time-consuming but I highly recommend taking the time to fill this out to the best of your ability; I constantly found myself looking back on this as I moved through the application process and prepared for interviews. It also gives Jen a good base to know your background and what pieces of your story she can highlight.
An MBA consultant is a pricey investment but for me, it was absolutely worth it. I honestly don’t know whether or not I would have gotten in without her, but I know I personally wanted someone to guide me through the application process and I wanted to give myself the best possible shot at these schools. If I had to go back I would absolutely choose to work with Jen again.
I worked with Jen on my MBA application for INSEAD and Cambridge and she was absolutely fantastic. Starting with our joint brainstorming for the essays, where she helped me tremendously in selecting the episodes from my life that could have relevance to the applications, and then sorting them out on the essay topics so that they would paint a comprehensive picture of my strengths. Followed by writing the essays together, where we sent numerous drafts back and forth between us and Jen had a great sense of the strengths and weaknesses of individual drafts and also never shied away from communicating her honest opinion about what I had written, even if it needed us to redraft entire essays. Finally, the joint preparation for the interviews was also extremely helpful. Jen is also extremely knowledgeable about the intricacies of MBA applications and what admissions committees want to see in applications and was always readily available when I had any questions. But above all, Jen is extremely friendly and empathetic, and an absolute pleasure to work with, which is extremely important given the workload of one or more MBA applications. For me, hiring Jen was so worth it, because not only did I get acceptances for both of my applications, but I also received a scholarship from one of the schools, which means that my investment has already paid off.
Jen was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and supportive throughout my MBA application process. During our first brainstorming session, she helped me reflect on my personal and professional experiences to identify personality traits, accomplishments, goals, and stories that I highlighted in my essays – this experience allowed me to learn more about myself by elucidating my motivations for going to business school and how I could best contribute to an MBA program’s community. Jen also provided structured feedback on my resume to make my bullets easier to understand across audiences and to quantify the impact I had through my work projects. In addition, Jen’s comments on my essays were constructive, easy to follow, and shared in a timely manner with me – I especially appreciated Jen’s probing questions and suggestions for how I should consider expanding upon sections of writing to emphasize the “so what” and implications in the context of my MBA goals. Jen consistently provided clear expectations of when she wanted to review drafts of my essays and when she would be available to send back edits, helping me stay on track and finish my applications without any rush before the deadline. After I received interview invites, Jen coached me through several rounds of mock interviews, and she gave me useful tips for presenting myself (both professionally and as my genuine self) and responding to typical and curveball interview questions. Finally, I am so grateful for Jen’s tremendous support during the entire application process – as my cheerleader, she motivated me to give my application my best shot and to maintain high morale. I applied to Wharton HCM, Booth, Kellogg, and CBS, and I was admitted to all four schools – I also received several scholarships! A big THANK YOU to Jen for being an incredible partner in this experience. I highly recommend her to anyone who is applying to business school!
I had a great experience working with Jen. She is friendly, supportive, and easy to work with. I’m confident that without her help I wouldn’t have been able to submit a solid application. Her tips on the interview process made all the difference in me being able to showcase my true personality and my strengths.
I had a wonderful experience working with Jen at mbaMission in my application process to graduate school. Not only was I successful in my dream of being successfully admitted, but the mbaMission process, specifically with Jen, was completely transformative for me. It allowed me to turn what could have been a somewhat chore-ish task of applying to grad school into an exercise of reflecting on my adolescence and created a safe space for me to put pen to paper about my wildest dreams and goals for my future. In many ways, it felt like therapy or professional coaching, in the Trojan horse of admissions support 🙂 Beyond being profoundly astute and thoughtful as I crafted my story, Jen was extremely diligent and went above and beyond to keep me on track so I never felt pinched or pressed for time. We ping-ponged more drafts of essays than I can count, and she did all of this with a deep thoughtfulness about not only staying true to me and my story but also crafting hitting all the important points that her years in admissions counseling have taught her matter. I cannot speak more highly of Jen and my overall experience with mbaMission. I am forever indebted to Jen for not only making my dream come true, but for doing so with unique integrity that is not always present in this process.
I contacted Jen when I was preparing for an interview for admission to Kellogg’s MMM program. I did a 30 minutes free consultation with her and then a mock interview. Both sessions were very rich and she provided me with practical advice as well study material which came in very handy during my preparation. I am certain I would have performed well in my application to the programs I applied to if I had worked with her earlier on in my application process. I am definitely sticking with her for my next attempt at applying to business school.
I worked with Jen on my MBA application and was immensely impressed with her work! Trust me when I say that Jen really takes the time to listen and adds a TON of value to an MBA application. I was lucky enough to get into a top global MBA program, all because of her. She did an amazing job helping me pull out the key parts of my story and helped me to craft my unique experiences into a coherent story. Without her expertise, my application would not have been as rich as it was! Jen is very responsive and was willing to answer any little question I had. I would 100% recommend Jen to anyone looking to get into a top MBA program!
I worked with Jen for my three MBA school applications and received offers from all these schools. I was impressed by the results and knew I wouldn’t achieve these without Jen’s support.
During the time we worked together, she provided me with lots of guidance and advice so that I knew what to highlight in my essays. She helped me find some unique and exciting stories in my career and life that I was not aware of. The mock interviews we did for both Kira video questions and alumni interviews were super helpful. Jen pointed out my problem directly and gave me suggestions about improving them. I built a lot of confidence and felt well prepared through the process.
Besides her professional knowledge about the programs, Jen is very supportive and flexible. When I was unsure about myself or doubted my essays, Jen always had my back. She was also able to meet me at late nights or early mornings.
The application journey was busy and stressful, and I am so glad that I worked with Jen to go through it.
Fantastic support and guidance in the chaotic world of MBA applications!
Although I had my doubts initially, the first phone call with Jen put all my worries to rest. From the first minute, it was clear that she was a true professional, and we could make a step-by-step plan of action together.
It is naïve to think that someone else will do every part of the application for you, but working together can truly work wonders. Every time I received my pieces back with comments from Jen, I had an “oh my god” in my head. We worked on my CV, prepared and talked through many of the most common questions in interviews, and wrote essays for universities.
Her phenomenal support and advice helped me get admitted to all three universities I applied to. I am genuinely grateful to her and would be happy to recommend her to my acquaintances who will also be applying to MBA programs soon.
From the very first conversation, I could tell that Jen was a great listener who cares deeply about her work and has a real passion for what she does. For such deep reflection that is required for these applications, you want to feel comfortable as a client in telling your consultant the most intimate details about your life. At least for me, this was important. And Jen made the environment so welcoming and inviting from the start.
I feel that after 6+ months I can speak quite accurately to her abilities. I didn’t have the strongest application profile in the world, and had no idea what industry I was after or even what type of school I was looking for. Jen’s attention to detail is second to none, and she did an incredible job in molding many pages worth of material as well as countless hours of conversation and other worksheets into a cohesive story.
This MBA process was an incredible introspective journey, and Jen was so good in helping me find my “why”. Always approachable and quick to respond, I felt like I could reach out to her at any time for anything, which is a tremendous feeling when working with someone in this capacity. She truly cares about her clients, and that became apparent quickly. As I applied to 4 schools, you can imagine the amount of work and written drafts I needed to produce and she never missed a deadline in editing my work.
Over the course of 3-4 drafts per essay, she would force me to really think about what I wanted to say until I had the specific, detailed, exact answer that was required. Jen pushed my writing in a way that it hadn’t been in a very long time, and always knew how to guide me to the finish line. She has a very kind and warm demeanor, and this works well in making critiques and letting me know what needed to be done.
As someone who was skeptical of the price and value of an MBA consultant, I can tell you that Jen is worth every bit of time and money and she is fantastic at what she does. I would recommend her 100/100 times, and if you work with her then you can feel confident you made the right choice.
I cannot say enough good things about Jen Kedrowski & her character, honesty, and expertise; the entire experience was all anyone could dream of. I was fortunate enough to get into my top-choice MBA program and know for certain I wouldn’t have been accepted without the guidance, support, and friendship of Jen. To borrow a boxing reference, she is the best person to ‘have in your corner’ through the long & (often) stressful process of applying to business school. The attention to detail, time, and energy Jen dedicates to her clients’ essays, interview prep, and overall ‘story’ is unrivaled; she really cares about each individual- and it shows. At the start of this process, I truthfully didn’t think I would get in anywhere, much less the top Ivy League program I was admitted to. Jen was simultaneously realistic but optimistic, helping me shape my story to put my best foot forward. I’m so glad it worked out the way it did & I cannot recommend Jen enough to help you achieve your MBA goals. Best of luck to those applying!
I was beyond satisfied with the experience I had working with Jen – she was instrumental in elevating and helping me create a standout application. I decided to work with Jen as I was applying solely to international MBA programs, and she has extensive background working with schools abroad and personal experience from her studies at Judge. In addition to being a wealth of knowledge about the admissions process and what schools are looking for, Jen is incredibly thoughtful and supportive. She took the time to get to know me and my motivations for applying for an MBA, recommended potential schools to look into and was available and willing to answer all of my questions throughout the process. She successfully helped me craft a compelling story across my essays and CV, providing meaningful feedback across these aspects as well as during the interview prep phase. As a result, I’ll be attending a top 10 global school in January 2022. My acceptance would not have happened without Jen’s thoughtfulness and creativity – I highly recommend working with her.
Jen was absolutely fantastic to work with. She is generous with her time, expert in all aspects of the application, and there to answer any questions about any aspect of the process, no matter how small. She got to know me far beyond my resume and helped me uncover parts of my story I never thought to highlight to the admissions committee. She did an expert job helping me craft a compelling story and maximize every word in each essay, every line of my resume, and every minute of my interviews. Jen’s help got me into both of the programs we worked on together, including one where I’d been previously unsuccessful. I doubt I would have been as successful without Jen’s encouragement and expert guidance.
I started the MBA application process, hiring Jen as my admissions consultant almost exactly a year ago, having no idea what my final list of schools to apply to would be or where I would end up! After a year of self-reflection, countless essay drafts, and tons of anxiety in the meantime, I am so happy to be attending one of my top schools (Kellogg) in the fall! Jen took the time to understand who I am and what I want out of an MBA program and career and helped me learn these things about myself as well. She is great at pulling the most compelling aspects of a candidate out through discovery sessions and helping weave them throughout your application to make a cohesive and compelling story. She knows this industry up and down and is very familiar with how to present an applicant in the most compelling way for each individual school. Many other consultants are very knowledgeable as well; however, what made Jen stand out from all the rest was her supportive and understanding nature. I felt like we were in this together and my success was her success. We had many long conversations about what schools would be the best fit for me versus what schools I was best qualified for as a candidate. We talked about options to improve my application and what parts of myself were most important for me to showcase. I worked with Jen on a 4 school package and ended up adding on a 5th school. Most of my schools were M7s and I got rejected from a few, with Jen there to support me; however, my Kellogg acceptance made this whole process worth it! In the days leading up to Kellogg releasing their decisions in December 2020, I kept re-reading my application and the Kellogg website and I realized that everything I showcased in my Kellogg application perfectly aligned with what the school was asking for in their essays and in their students’ values and attributes– I have no doubt that Jen was instrumental in me crafting an application that reflected the core values of Kellogg and made me stand out as an applicant. Admissions consultants are a big investment, one that I was nervous about but looking back, I am confident that this investment was the key to my success!
I worked with Jen for 4 R2 applications and can honestly say I could not have done it without her. Jen’s knowledge of the MBA application process is 2nd to none and she really takes time getting her clients on a personal level! I really enjoyed my time working with her and would recommend her to anybody looking for any help applying to B school. With Jen’s help, I was accepted into my 3 top schools with scholarship opportunities!
Jen is a mover, motivator, and magical. There are not enough words I can use to describe how Jen was able to change my outlook and perspective on the MBA admissions process and I owe any and all success to her. When I first was introduced to Jen, my life was practically all over the place, Jen helped me put all the pieces together, craft a genuine story, made sure I was true to my person, and this game plan was what got me the results I wanted. Jen was able to make my vision of getting into my dream school come to life. Jen – if you’re reading this (which I hope you do) then I just want to let you know that you’ve been such a huge help and big part of my journey that I can say with full confidence I definitely wouldn’t have even gotten remotely close of getting into my dream school if it’s wasn’t for your guidance along the way. Can’t recommend Jen enough!
Throughout the application process, Jen was a fantastic resource and supporter that was key to my acceptance into several programs. She is thorough and detailed in her responses and helped me to craft my personal story that reflected in my essays and interviews. She spent the time to understand my ambitions and goals and tailored her guidance and corrections to meet my requirements. I have no doubt that she was a major factor in my application successes. I would absolutely recommend her to an MBA applicant targeting top programs.
I booked a mock interview session with Jen to prepare for my interview in Dec and the experience was far beyond my expectation.
Jen is knowledgeable and dedicated. I turned to Jen almost at the last minute before my interview, but Jen still kindly booked a weekend session with me to fit my tight schedule. The Q&A part at the beginning of the session was full of insights, and in the following mock interview part I could clearly tell that Jen reviewed my application in detail and prepared for the mock interview carefully beforehand. We covered all the common questions and the tricky ones specific to my school, and Jen provided very meaningful feedback to each of my answers. The mock interview last longer and was more thorough than I had expected. I was impressed by the session not only because I was technically prepared for the interview, but also because I was emotionally ready. Jen effectively reduced my anxiety and cheered me up.
I would like to give my special thank you to Jen because even though I only booked one mock interview session, Jen gave me so much support during the two stressful weeks between my interview and my offer email. Thank you Jen for being a tremendous consultant and a trustworthy partner!
I had an initial phone consultation with Jen and felt her energy and enthusiasm from the start. Jen was fantastic throughout my entire application process. She was extremely detailed in understanding my background and how to best craft my story for my essays. Jen is very personable and is very honest when it comes to feedback. I don’t think I would have been as successful had it not been for her expertise. I would highly recommend working with Jen
Working with Jen Kedrowski was truly a gift and likely the best investment I made for myself to gain admittance to my top choice, CBS.
About me: R3 extended applicant, above-average GPA from a mid-tier undergrad program, untraditional background, employment gaps, strong EA. We completed 3 applications in about 1 month. Jen completely helped me to revisit and revise, taking my applications from decent to a top 10 admittance.
At the core of her is a ridiculous breadth of knowledge on how to best advocate for yourself and showcase your core truths, and thus, your most compelling MBA application. Her ‘make-it-happen’ mentality is peppered in with the perfect amount of urgency and confidence-boosting kindness. During brainstorming, she got to know me well beyond my resume (I even joked saying she would make a great life coach!) and pushed me to dig deep to get to know myself. Jen spent ample time delving into my stories and strengths. I was impressed when Jen would reference stories, I brought up in the first brainstorming session, weeks later!
Jen’s strength is in story crafting, application strategy, and resume editing, which felt like the most daunting part to make everything cohesive. She was always super responsive and thorough, frequently responding into the early hours of the night and on weekends. I think I gave Jen over 15 pages of my scrapped essay material before I started with her. She went through everything meticulously and pulled material across essays, where I didn’t even think of. We cranked through 25+ essay drafts in a few weeks. Bonus – Jen’s years of experience at Kaplan were also helpful for GMAT/EA questions and strategy.
It was easy to lose steam through the application process. Jen kept me going at a strong pace to get through 3 big applications. I loved how sincerely uplifting, yet realistic Jen was; Her positive energy was always refreshing.
My biggest regret is sitting on the decision of whether or not to hire a consultant, wasting precious time spinning my wheels and writing countless essay drafts. If you are already in the headspace to hire a consultant, I can say with confidence that Jen is top-notch and worth the investment. THANK YOU, JEN!
Jen has been the best cheerleader to guide me throughout my MBA journey. From our very first call, Jen was super resourceful. She was able to help piece together fragmented life experiences into cohesive stories that exhibited an abundant amount of color and authenticity. She helped uncover both professional and personal stories that had been completely overlooked, helping create the best possible version of myself on paper! I am not sure if I would have been able to highlight my entire life’s story and post MBA trajectories in merely 500 words without her help! She helped me concisely and thematically express my ideas without me ever losing my personal voice. If I ever make something of myself and have stories worthy of telling the world, Jen would definitely have to be my editor (if she’d have me!!!)
Jen has this smiling voice that always instantaneously put me into a jovial mood as soon as I would hop onto a phone call with her. I remember there had been several instances in which I had become increasingly frustrated with the writing process. As soon as I expressed my concerns, she not only knew exactly what to say to placate those negative thoughts, but she also laid out action items to specifically help tackle those roadblocks. I was fickle about picking the right schools, changing my mind several times. Each change was met with undying patience and supportive advice, ultimately helping me realize that selecting the right schools should be influenced by internal factors of what schools are truly the right fit for you, over external factors. I never had to worry about sounding silly with Jen. No question or idea was ever deemed foolish. She was able to create a supportive environment for me to grow and learn more about myself than I ever had. This was the first time in my life in which I truly enjoyed the journey of a process, and I have Jen to thank for that. Thank you, Jen, for all that you have done! Jen and I joke that I am a cheerleader for my clients at work, hence the reference in the beginning. Well, Jen has played that role amazingly for me throughout this process. Anyone would be so lucky to have Jen in his/her corner cheering him/her on through to that MBA finish line!
Jen was recommended to me by another mbaMission consultant who was booked up for school packages, and I could not be happier with my experience working with her. Having access to Jen’s experience, guidance, and support was an invaluable resource while going through the extremely stressful business school admissions process. She helped me find my footing in crafting my narrative and presenting myself to schools in the best possible light. She is positive and encouraging, but you can trust she will be honest with you if she believes something won’t work. Jen, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for your help. I am extremely grateful that I got the chance to work with you and know I would not have had the same level of success without you.
Before deciding which admission consultant company to choose, I conducted several free consultations to get a sense for the different approaches and also for the consultants I would be working with later on.
I found it very helpful that Jen, who conducted the initial consultation, was also the actual consultant who helped me create my applications later on – at some other firms the initial consultations were not conducted by the actual consultants. From the beginning I had the feeling that Jen was very knowledgeable and that she provided exactly the advise that I felt I needed. Therefore, I decided to work with her.
This decision turned out to be perfect, as she managed to help me demonstrate my strogest self in my applications. She took several hours in the beginning to understand my background thoroughly which allowed her to probe my application at later stages, as she always hat alternative situations in mind that I could possibly leverage. Furthermore, she helped me prepare efficiently for the interviews as she had great insights into the schools’ interview process and questions asked.
I found the process extremely smooth and not stressful at all. Jen was approachable and always replied within the company’s turnaround time. Quick questions were answered much faster.
Therefore, I can only recommend Jen to anyone applying to business school. Jen’s knowledge, experience and communication style made her the perfect consultant to work with. Her support exceeded my expectations by far.
Background on me: White, male, finance, small school (GPA 3.9 / GMAT: 680 / 5 years of experience upon matriculation). Pre-MBA I worked at a relatively unknown firm. So all in all, I felt like I had a somewhat weak profile compared to the whole of the applicant pool.
I knew early on that I would use an admissions consultant and would need a way to differentiate my self from a competitive applicant pool. I spoke to a few consultants and told them my background. However, Jen truly stood out because she generally understood my background and on a free consultation helped me start to craft my story. She seemed to be generally enthusiastic about the process too. Ultimately I signed up for the complete package.
Working with Jen helped me tremendously throughout the entire challenging process.
Jen helped me tremendously when finding and developing my story – taking what I said/wrote and crafting it into a coherent story. Jen’s main strength is her story telling ability. She has a unique talent of transforming somewhat incoherent details into a compelling narrative. She helped me uncover both personal and professional stories that I had forgotten/didn’t think were relevant and helped me make them come to life. I believe that my applications were sent in with a clear cohesive story that helped me stand out as a unique candidate. Also, the mock interview prep was thorough and very helpful. And most importantly, I felt that she was truly invested in my success. We were a team and by the end of the process, I felt that we had built a strong professional relationship. She was one of the first people I notified when I got into my top choice and I could tell that she was genuinely thrilled for me. That meant a lot. I couldn’t have done it without you, Jen! While certainly not a cheap investment, it has paid itself back tenfold.
I started my application with another wonderful consultant that had to go on maternity leave and Jen kindly helped me with the interviews preparations. She was helpful and factual in her feedback, both during live sessions and guidance of my self preparations. I felt very confident during the actual interview, that appeared easier than the prepping sessions.
I had a feeling that the whole process was very well thought through initially, and later tailored to each student – via timeline, collecting best personal stories, and adjusting working style. Overall, this was, I think, a life-changing experience for me and application would have been so much more complicated, stressful, lengthier and error-prone.
I am not over exaggerating when I say without Jen I would not have gotten into Haas.
I am a reapplicant. I had a low GRE score. I had a difficult story I needed to tell and Jen helped me to do that seamlessly. She really brought my essays to life, helped me to prep for my interviews with inside knowledge on how each interview worked and who the people were I’d be interviewing with, and provided a unique idea for my waitlist updates for Ross, Wharton, and Haas.
Jen is the kind of consultant that is there every step of the way as your cheerleader. She’s incredibly efficient, smart, not pushy, and kind. She believed in me when no one else did and that confidence showed in my interviews and essays and this June I was accepted into Haas!
Unfortunately, I’ve had to defer a year due to medical issues but Jen again was helpful with helping me traverse that situation and I look forward to starting Haas next fall.
Do yourself a favor and give her a call, you won’t regret it.
Thank you, Jen!
I had a wonderful experience working with Jen Kedrowski. I believed the weakest aspect of my application was my work experience and Jen worked very hard to help me highlight my accomplishments and address my weaknesses. We also spent many productive hours preparing for interviews, of which I had six in a two week period. I chose Jen because she received her MBA from Cambridge and I was most interested in LBS, but this does not mean that she has limited knowledge of the American schools. Jen helped me get accepted to Booth, Yale, and Cambridge and waitlisted at Dartmouth and LBS. If you are looking for a consultant who is very diligent, enthusiastic, reliable, and detail oriented, I would highly recommend Jen Kedrowski at mbaMission.
Jen has been incredibly helpful and instrumental to my MBA application process over the last six months. With her help, I was able to tell my story in a way I was really happy with. The MBA application process is demanding and difficult at times, but Jen helped me grow throughout the process and continuously learn more about myself along the way.
Jen was always responsive and thorough throughout our time working together. I always felt that she had substantive and value-add feedback whenever she sent backdrafts, but never commented just to comment. It always felt as though we were really in the MBA application process together – the partnership was amazing! I would absolutely recommend Jen to anyone I know going through the MBA application process in the future!
Really thorough, provided candid and relevant feedback, helped with everything from beginning to end. My first time applying I went with another consulting firm and got dinged by all schools (0/5). 2nd time around I went with Jen and she recommended to boost my GMAT and reach out to current students to truly identify why I wanted to attend. My application was so much more polished and it got me in. Working with Jen, she handled everything, had great editing skills, etc. She was extremely helpful!!
I initially decided to do my free 30-minute consultation with Jen because I saw that she had done her MBA studies overseas (at Cambridge) and might possibly have better insight than other consultants with regard to my background (I had spent half my career overseas and didn’t want to just come across as “the international guy”). Jen told me in that call, that any of mbaMission’s consultants could help me present a solid narrative with my background, but I stayed with Jen because she came across very professionally and agreeably and came into that meeting with some great feedback prepared.
I was only applying to one school, The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, so I didn’t take advantage of any school selection or program compatibility services (Jen did advise that the program I’d chosen was a good fit, though).
I worked through the brainstorming exercises, which are used for all of mbaMission’s school package consultations. The exercises were very thorough and got me to reveal to myself all the content I needed to put together my application, essays and all. After brainstorming on my own, Jen helped me explore the content I’d generated from many different angles, to create an even more robust collection of information to draw from when it came to essay writing.
Essay writing was an iterative process, where each draft and round of feedback brought my application closer to the story I wanted to tell. Each essay needed 3-6 rounds of revision and feedback, each round taking 1-3 days. I really appreciated the quick turnaround and thoughtful feedback on the essays. The extensive writing and revision process, along with the brainstorm material used as the basis, allowed for very rigorous essay creation.
Jen also advised me on choosing and reconnecting with recommendation writers, and everything went very smoothly on that front.
When it came time to interview, Jen helped me prepare for a mock interview with her, again using the brainstorm material. The mock interview gave me a chance to get my jitters out of the way and get comfortable talking about myself and keeping responses within my overall narrative. The interview with the adcom member went as smoothly as possible and I felt confident and prepared throughout.
To conclude, I hired Jen via mbaMission with a clear goal in mind – to put in as much time and energy as I needed to put together the best application I could for the program I’d already chosen. Jen was an insightful and responsive coach throughout the process and gave me tools which were extremely helpful in telling my story. I was looking for help primarily with essays and the interview, but Jen helped me make sure my application was strong on all fronts, and I was admitted to my program with scholarship.
Working with Jen was both a very helpful and enjoyable experience. She is definitely a pro in this field and working with her was worth the cost. In total, I spent 10 hours with Jen on two applications. We started with brainstorming and narrowing in on which stories to tell. From there she reviewed outlines and multiple drafts of multiple essays, in addition to helping me refine my resume tremendously. I was impressed with how she kept all my essays very focused when I’d stray or ramble a bit- we ended up developing highly effective and efficient essays. Jen is also very responsive to emails and just genuinely pleasant to interact with. Ultimately I was accepted to both of my top European schools with scholarships. Thanks again, Jen!
When I considered taking the first steps in the MBA admissions process, the only word that accurately describes my feelings at the time is “intimidated.” From reading online posts about the process to talking with others who had gone through it, it felt as if everyone had some great story, some “golden ticket,” that I simply didn’t have. I didn’t come from a traditional finance or consulting background, was not sure my academics were up to snuff, and genuinely felt overwhelmed by the prospect of researching schools, writing essays, and soliciting recommendations. I decided to request a free consultation with mbaMission given that extremely positive feedback on their consultants was pretty universal.
When I met with Jen, I immediately felt at ease. I shared my general sense of trepidation, and she immediately, even during a 30-minute consultation, asked questions about my professional and personal background that forced me to understand that every person has a valuable story that is worth telling. Her natural ability to make me feel confident in the story I could tell, without creating unrealistic expectations on admissions results, was critical in my decision to work with her.
Throughout working together, from a 2.5-hour brainstorming session to (many), “Hey Jen – I’ve got a quick question” emails, Jen always made me feel like I deserved to be part of the MBA admissions process – like I deserved to participate and give it my best shot. She did this by always making time for me, by answering my questions both promptly and thoroughly and never giving the impression that I was just “one of many clients.” During our brainstorming session, for example, she asked questions that forced me to think about how very personal details of my upbringing that I had shared with her impacted the way I approached a project at work that I had mentioned. She is able to make this less-than-obvious connection and ask these types of questions because she genuinely cares about her clients as people and is committed to their success.
In terms of essay and interview preparation, Jen forced me to critically analyze each school’s essay prompts to figure out what from my story would naturally fit into what they were looking to learn about a candidate, as opposed to forcing something unnatural in for the sake of trying to impress them. Her comments on my essay and resume drafts were always precise and actionable – they allowed me to move forward and make improvements as opposed to creating additional questions for the sake of asking more questions. Her feedback on mock interviews was similar – “You discussed Topic X well – go into that more” or “Try to phrase Topic Y differently.” Her feedback was always valuable, well thought-out, and allowed me to make meaningful improvements.
Jen’s action and people-oriented approach immediately made me realize I had a worthwhile story to tell. I went into the process and applied to five schools, hoping to get interview invites from one or two at best. With Jen’s help, I received invites at each of these five, including three M7 schools. In the end, I was accepted into four of the five schools, including two M7’s (one of which was my top choice) and two others with significant scholarships. I am extremely thankful for Jen’s guidance and support and wholeheartedly recommend her for others looking to put their best foot forward in the MBA admissions process.
Working with Jen on my MBA apps was an absolute pleasure. She came highly recommended, as she worked with my wife on her apps two years ago, and exceeded even those high expectations.
I had a solid GMAT score coming in, and was relatively confident in my ability as a writer, so I was very much on the fence about engaging with an MBA consultant. However, from the moment I had my 30 minute consultation with Jen, I was sold. I can confidently say, working with Jen was absolutely worth the fees (I credit working with her for a substantial scholarship I received from my top M7 choice, which paid for every penny of her fee many times over).
Jen began by talking through my MBA goals, and discussing the various schools on my list. I had a few ideas regarding potential essay topics, and she walked through the pros and cons of each, along with some suggestions for how to brainstorm my story.
Once I engaged with her (i.e. after the free consultation), she set up aggressive but achievable deadlines to ensure I got my apps submitted in time, and helped keep me on track throughout. Her encouragement was invaluable as I got through the (often quite emotionally involved) brainstorming process, and her critical eye helped me focus my thoughts into several cogent essays. Right up till the moment I hit submit, she helped me fine tune my apps, with the result I could rest easy after the apps flew out the door, knowing they were as good as they could possibly be.
I engaged with Jen in mid-November, and had my apps done before Christmas. After Christmas when I found out my interviews were happening, she went well above and beyond to help prep me for my interviews and put me on the path to success. Even after I got in, she stayed in touch, helping me source pre-MBA programs run by the top firms in the field I am interested in getting into.
Jen truly was a trusted friend to me throughout the MBA app process, using her experience to quell any stress I felt at any stage of the process. I very strongly recommend speaking with her if you have any interest at all in getting into a top MBA program.
Initially I felt a little intimidated by the idea of working with an MBA admission consultant because I knew that MBA application process is all about deep self-reflection and authentic storytelling. I was not sure if I could truly open up myself to and go through the process with someone I did not know before. But because mbaMission has a great reputation, I decided to give it a try and call them for a free 30-minute consultation. That then led me to Jen, who completely shaped my MBA application experience!
Jen challenged me to go above and beyond in my applications: The very first essay draft I sent to Jen was Stanford’s classic and difficult essay. Jen sent me her written feedback in 2 days and I was totally amazed by her detailed notes and thoughtful critique. And then she called me to walk me through her notes and guided me to think deeply about the “why” part of the question. I already put some serious thoughts into the essay but Jen encouraged me to dive deeper and taught me how to do so. I knew then I had to get Jen’s help for my other schools and decided to purchase packages for all my others schools with Jen!
Jen was always there for me: I had about 2 months to finish 6 schools’ applications and each of the schools asked for something different in their essays and interviews. And as an international student, I was also worried about messing up those cultural nuances in my applications. Jen helped me with every step for every school including essay brainstorming, essay writing, resume polishing, interview preparation, and an additional scholarship application process for one of the schools. Jen was so knowledgeable, responsive, patient, encouraging and honest that I felt extremely comfortable to ask her any questions and share my thoughts/feelings/concerns. I remember I would call her before my interviews to practice some questions or just chat about the interview, and then walked into every interview feeling very confident and fully prepared. I could not imagine getting such amount of guidance and support from anyone else!
Finally I was admitted to 4 top business schools! I am so grateful for everything Jen did and she means much more than an admission counselor to me – She is a true friend and mentor.
I worked with Jen for five hours on my application and interview prep for one school (that I successfully was admitted to!) and it was immensely helpful and very worth the cost. I made sure to have my essays and short answers in good shape by the time I sent them to Jen to get a last eye on them. It was incredibly helpful to have a professional look over these and she was efficient- I got a ton out of only five hours!
Starting from my 30-minute free consultation, Jen provided useful guidance on how to approach school selection, the application process, and positioning myself. Through four applications, I found the structured approach the she provided to the early stages of brainstorming and developing a personal narrative to be particularly helpful. Her essay editing helped me to tell a more focused and impactful story and mock interviews always prepared me very well for the real thing. On a more personal level, Jen was friendly and easy to work with and always had interesting insights into what I was saying about myself and how to make that more clear and forceful. I would certainly recommend her services to anyone applying to business school.
I used hourly services with Jen and it was immensely helpful in my business school application process and a key contributor to my success in admissions! I was initially hesitant to use an admissions consultant, but set up a free 30 minute consultation at the recommendation of a friend. A few minutes into my consultation, I knew I wanted to work with Jen throughout the application process. Right away, she pulled stories out of me to brainstorm essay ideas and provided great advice on which stories I should use for which applications. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the schools I was applying to and helped me tailor my essays, short responses, and resumes accordingly. I am so glad I made the decision to use mbaMission and I would enthusiastically recommend Jen as an admissions consultant throughout the application process!
I had the pleasure of working with Jen Kedrowski for my application to NYU Stern. As someone who was uncertain of his chances into gaining admission, I knew I needed a leg up on the competition. Jen provided me with that extra boost. Her feedback was super helpful in getting my entire application to tell one cohesive story that helped make my overall application stronger. Her work on my essays and resume helped me tell my story while staying within the strict word count guidelines. She also gave me really great ideas on the creative essay that Stern implemented just last year. I would recommend her services to any future MBA applicant looking to help increase their chances of gaining entry into a top tier business school.
I had the pleasure of working with Jen on an hourly basis to help with my MBA applications. I first called Jen for the 30 minute free consultation in a total panic about my future (ha) to which she was not only helpful, but also a friend. Jen and I maximized our hourly services together and her strength was really noticeable in shaping my story into something each b-school I applied to would resonate with. Together we worked on a strategy for schools, essays and applications, and mock interviews. I come from a very technical background (geologist!) and Jen was able to translate my industry specific experiences and jargon into a relatable story for admissions.
Even on an hourly basis, I felt that Jen really knew my story inside and out, and was rooting for me the whole way. She fielded more than a few panicked phone calls/emails during the process (especially after my HBS interview!). But more than a consultant, I feel that Jen was a friend who had been through the process herself in the past, could understand the tough nature of it, and had my back the whole way through. She believed in me when I needed it most.
With Jen, I was invited to interview at 5/6 schools to which I applied, and ultimately was admitted at most of them. I’ve accepted my offer to attend HBS in the fall and truly couldn’t have done it without her.
I was hesitant about hiring an admission consultant due to the cost, but decided to sign up for the three-school package after speaking to some of my colleagues and friends. Working with Jen was one of the best decisions I made throughout my MBA application process and I am confident I would not have been admitted to my top choice program if it wasn’t for Jen’s guidance and encouragement. I come from a non-traditional background and Jen took the time to understand my story, helping me develop a competitive application. From the beginning, Jen invested time to really understand my background and experience, which was extremely helpful as we started to review my application essays. Jen was honest and would let me know if she thought a section of application needed improvement. Her support, insight, and genuine personality made the application process less chaotic and working with her was enjoyable. Each email or phone call I had with Jen made feel better about the application process. She truly cares about the people she works with and even took the time to reach out to me when I was impacted by Hurricane Irma (I live in Florida). Jen’s turnaround and response time are incredible and she would provide detailed recommendations and advice within a couple of days. This was especially helpful when I received an invitation to interview. Due to my interviewer’s availability, my interview was in three days and Jen scheduled a mock interview the next day to ensure I was fully prepared. Her guidance and advice was a major value throughout my application process and I highly recommend Jen to anyone applying to an MBA program.
