Joy has coached MBA applicants for 4+ years with a focus on creating a differentiated story for each client, with a tailored approach made specifically for you. As a re-applicant who was admitted to Harvard Business School, the Stanford GSB, Wharton, and Chicago Booth on the third year she applied, her personal introduction to the process enabled her to develop a good sense of what works in business school applications by trial and error. The journey was something she appreciated because it brought out her lifelong passion of storytelling, a task that included identifying the right pieces of evidence and data and curating these in connecting with the audience – in settings where landing the impact is key to success. During her attendance at HBS, Joy has also worked with the admissions office on advising new admits and initiatives to support students from low-income backgrounds.

As someone who has worked across several industries, spanning finance (buy- and sell-side), fashion, nonprofit, and tech startups, Joy is able to coach applicants across many professional backgrounds to describe their experiences in ways that are understood and appreciated by the admissions committee. She prides herself on an ability to weave together seemingly disparate materials from your background into a cogent and differentiated story that sticks out to your target schools.

Joy has a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard
Business School.
