I am very thankful for the experience I had working with Justin throughout the process. Justin played a critical role during my application process – providing me with encouragement through and through, and also providing constructive / thoughtful feedback when needed. Justin has so much experience, and getting his views and thoughts at various stages of the process was incredibly helpful. I felt I was able to fully trust Justin during this demanding process. Justin also spent so much time with me in order to better understand my story, my personality, and my strengths and weaknesses – something that really benefitted our working relationship. Justin was a wonderful consultant to work with across my R1 MBA applications. He played an integral role in helping me cultivate my why MBA and school-specific essays. He spent a lot of time working with me to extract the “so what” and the deeper “why” behind my career motivations, ensuring that my professional goals aligned with my personal narrative. Justin always tried to be as flexible as possible to accommodate my schedule. Besides being an amazing MBA coach, Justin is also a great friend (+ therapist) who was there every step along the way, providing huge emotional support! What makes Justin such a wonderful consultant and resource is not his ability to tell any story, but his ability to help you tell your story. I felt that Justin truly strived to get to know and capture who I was as a person – rather than just a candidate – and this authentic approach is what truly differentiates him from other consultants. In particular, Justin has a discerning eye for what resonates with schools in a way that is extremely natural. No small detail escapes his notice – even a throwaway line about an old extracurricular, which I would have never thought to incorporate in my HBS application. Furthermore, he is incredibly flexible to work with, and his feedback is thoughtful and thorough. He was a reassuring, supportive presence throughout a stressful application period. I have nothing but incredible things to say about Justin. I started working with Justin a little over a month before Round 3 deadlines (my first round of applications). He helped me identify two schools — Wharton and Kellogg — that would fit me academically, professionally, and culturally. Justin worked around my unpredictable work schedule and he was always available to speak with me, whether I was panicked about a deadline, had questions about an essay, or was nervous for an interview (sometimes hours, or even minutes beforehand). He was an excellent essay critic — he not only helped me structure my professional goals, but also advised on how to effectively communicate those goals in my essays. Justin’s many years of experience means he knows how different schools evaluate applicants and he can draw from previous experiences with other applicants over the years, which is very helpful. Justin was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful in guiding me through this process. 

I was ultimately accepted to both schools and I am eternally grateful to Justin for his consistent support and attention. I’ve already recommended him to my friend going through the application process now, and I will absolutely continue to recommend him!
